I just want to let you all know the Straight No Chaser concert was excellent last night. It was an absolute GREAT experience, the music was great and their humor was funny and witty. The concert lasted nearly 2 hours, I think they performed close to 20 songs, but no Christmas. (I was hoping they would sneak one in) They did say they may be coming back around for a Holiday show in the fall, we already said we will by the tickets as soon as they are announced. We also bought their new CD it has some contemporary music and some 80's songs all done in their style it is called "With a Twist." I hope you all had a great Monday!

Good morning, friends! Tuesday isn't my favorite, but it's alot better than Monday. Today shouldn't be as long as yesterday, but there will still be some extra work after school. I'll get to come home and do my run around 5:00ish so I will see everyone then!

House cleaning day today, this place looks like a mini tornado went through it! Fire department is doing their annual check of all the smoke detectors (they never come right after the house has been cleaned!)

I have 2 meetings at work, thankfully both are short. cheesy

I felt horrible yesterday! My mother had to come pick up 2 of the grandkids yesterday because I felt so bad. My son watched the oldest grandson while my mom watched the other 2 younger ones. My son is 20 and into video games and so is my 6 year old grandson so they had fun hanging out playing games while I slept! Like Christmasstar mentioned about a tornado hitting the house. Yikes, same here, I just could not get up to clean at all yesterday but hubby came home from work and cleaned the kitchen for me. That was a big help!

With all that whining about yesterday, I FEEL GREAT THIS MORNING! The kids will be here soon and it will be a good day. cheesy

On we march through the week and on toward our next pair of milestones.
Days to the Season: 207
Days to Christmas Day: 249
As you can tell (even without looking at our Milestone chart) the 200-day Season window looms ahead exactly one week from today.
Not only that, but we are now UNDER a week away from the 1/3 Christmas Day mark.
Like the Energizer bunny, the year just keeps going and going and.....

Yet another chilly start here in Raleigh where I woke up to 47 degrees.
The sun shineth, however, and we have now reached 51 on our way up to a predicted high of 72 by this afternoon.
Rain likely tonight and tomorrow, but then a gorgeous end of the week and weekend is expected.

Good morning, everyone!!

I've returned to my normal position of employment for today (at least). The only thing that is making me wish I were elsewhere is the temperature. It is already 13C outside (55F)!! A high of 19C (66F) is expected. Of course, the sun is teashing me as it is constantly shining through the few sunroofs we have at work. Oh well, at least it's nice outside!

These days are going fast! The week is going to past by even faster and before we know it, we'll be looking ahead to the May milestones! Wow... I don't know how it's done, but I like it! I was in the library for much of the day yesterday. I'm about 1/4 into my 20-25 page paper. Tomorrow will be a big day. I have it off from work, so I'm hoping to be at about 12 pages by the time practice rolls around at 5 PM. Then, I will have Thursday morning, Friday and most of Saturday and Sunday to finish and edit. Hard to believe I'll be done my undergrad after this!

Anyway, I hope everyone is having a wonderful time wherever they are. The weather better be treating you right as well! Have a great Tuesday!!

I have been away for a few days and boy did I miss this place! Had a nice three day weekend with a visit from friend from Florida. Hung out in Chicago (one of my fav cities in the world). Had great fun and enjoyed the wonderful weather.

Good morning christmas lovers!!!!!!!!! I don't have much on the agenda for today. Mom is fighting with her short term disability insurance company. They are trying to tell her they don't have a claim even open for her right now even though they have already paid her twice. So I am sure that I will be running to her work to fax them everything and then to her doctors office to have them fax all of their info again. While I am out I need to stop by the grocery store and get some bread. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I think we got moms insurance all taken care of. She has had problems with them before so it didn't come as any big surprise that they were giving her trouble this time. It was a beautiful day here. We had a high in the mid 60's and it was sunny all day. They are saying that rain will be moving in tomorrow.

Good evening, guys, gals, and gender neutrals! Hope everyone is doing good. Been a good day here. Real good day....some things at work are playing themselves out nicely and I feel like I'm making some headway. Got alot more work to do, but small steps over a long time make for progress. That's all I want, a better place for my kids.
