Have to go to a meeting all morning and then when I get home I have to finish up the cakes for the party tomorrow. So it is going to be a full day
I am missing 2 dinner plates, anyone seen them?

I have a follow-up ultrasound today.. my 3rd in about a month. They are monitoring one of the measurements on the baby's brain (it's in the "high range of normal") and I am praying for some good news today... hopefully everything is still "normal" and I can stop worrying! Welcome to Friday everyone!!!!!!!! It looks like it is going to be a beautiful day here. We had some light rain early this morning but it has all cleared out and now it is beautiful outside. I need to do a quick clean of the apartment and run to the grocery store today. Then it will be home to relax and watch nascar coverage. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning everyone....

Our girls had another game last night and won. Right now we are doing coach pitching but next week we will start on kid pitching. Well my hubby was pitching lastnight when our daughter came up to bat. She hit a line drive right down the middle of the plate. My hubby had to dive out of the way of the ball. It was funny. All the girls and the parents got a good laugh out of it. It was one of those " I wish I had a video camera going" moment!

So glad it's Friday!!! Going to plant the veggies in the garden tomorrow after soft ball practice. Hard to believe our softball season is 1/2 way done now.

I finally have a floor and a stove in my kitchen! It felt good to cook breakfast this morning instead of running out for a honeybun.

And we had our first boiled peanuts of the year last night! My father in law owns the General Store here, and gets early peanuts from Florida. If you've never had boiled peanuts, you are missing a treat. That's all we had for supper.

And we had our first boiled peanuts of the year last night! My father in law owns the General Store here, and gets early peanuts from Florida. If you've never had boiled peanuts, you are missing a treat. That's all we had for supper.

Glad your kitchen is starting to come back together. I had never had boied peanuts. Never heard of it until I read it on here.

Calm and sunny here where we currently stand right at 70 wonderfully walkable degrees.
(And I had best enjoy my walk now because it is supposed to reach the low to mid 90's by this afternoon.)

Yes! I have had them and they are a royal treat! The first time I tried them is when I was a teenager. My friend who is from Georgia went to visit her dad and brought back Roddenberry brand canned boiled peanuts. Here in Texas they are not really well known. I thought it was a little strange at first, ate a few and then I couldn't stop eating them. I have been hooked since. Then when I was pregnant with my son I was absolutely craving them. My friend and I actually traveled to Louisiana (before internet days) to get some at a Stuckeys restaurant located on the border to buy up some cans. It is difficult to make them with raw peanuts because I have attempted many times and failed. You have to have FRESH (early) peanuts, big difference that I try to explain to people but I am sure you know what I am talking about Brad, lol. Every once in awhile I will find a grocery store that carries them and Roddenberry is my favorite brand. Most people around here never heard of them. Ok, I am on the hunt once again to find some!
