Yes.. I would always beat you there in the AM and thats when the sleep ande coffee jokes began.. wow- how long agow as that- I think only Jayish and the two of us remain from that crowd...

I remember the panic when Christmas.com went down and we all showed up within 2 days at mymerryxmas...( whatever happened to that guy)? I remember then saying.. Its ok- it doesn't matter where we are- so long as we all stay together.....

I got both of my Boys to bed and my Husband is at his baseball game. I have a few minutes to myself to just relax..of course I have on some Christmas music cheesy..Im also daydreaming about in 6 months from today 12/24 what I will be doing at this time..I cant wait! I am like you and just as soon as 4th of July is over my mind goes into full gear with Christmas! I also start counting down the days until Christmas in July on QVC. I have been watching that for nearly 10 years and never bought anything. I just love to look at all the pretty things. Maybe one day I will buy something.

Me too!! Plus, QVC starts doing Christmas shows the 25th of every month (and sometimes more) after Christmas in July so it gets me feeling extra Christmasy... a month from tomorrow - Christmas in July!!!!!!!

Well, I'm tired. Think I'll take out the old dentures and spend some time in my old rocking chair.
Put some coffee beans under the rockers and I'll be happy to grind a few for you, Bing.

Brittd19 -- you may be the only person posting right now who loves heat..... but I DO run into people who declare their love for the heat -- even when we are standing outside, in 100 degree heat with high humidity!!!! The variety is what makes life fun....... even if a lot of us have trouble seeing "fun" in 100 degree temperatures!!!

I stayed inside ALL day yesterday..... and discovered that you CAN get cabin fever during summer! So.... I'm going outside today!!!! Walking slow.... carrying a water bottle........

You most definitely can get cabin fever during the summer!!! I had it a few days ago hahahacheesy

and ohhh the humidity... that stuff is glorious:-?

I do not like the heat here. In Texas with temps up to and above 100 degrees you can't do anything outside. As SparkleNana mentioned, cabin fever! At 7 am this morning it's already too hot to step outside. I opened my door, went on the porch and came right back in. It's miserable and cannot enjoy being out there. The only thing you can do right now is go swimming, which is fun but can't go every day. I tend to get ill more often in the summer than I do winter.

Britt, I wish I was in Canada! I am sure the summers there are great! Your summer there is like our spring here. Nice and warm but not miserable. Try spending it here and you would hate it, lol! It's just like I love winter but I am sure you all up there get sick of it real quick. cheesy

I can't lie the summers here sound fairly mild compared to texas!! hahaha usually my town is between 80-95 degrees.. but its only for like 2-3 months.. and the rest is rain, clouds..and snow hahahaha:

Cold water tastes good. And.... I read that drinking cold water can help you lose weight! Because... your body has to expend calories to warm the cold water up to body temperature!

I heard that as well!! I also heard eating your food cold helps weight loss, for the same reason that your body has to warm up the food to digest it!

Goodluck finding a new job and also with the weight weight loss..I know it seems like you get to a certain point where it does become quite a bit harder to lose anymore weight!

Going to be a nice day. Get to spend it at a horse ranch with a group of special needs kids. This place is set up to allow them to ride a horse. It is so neat to watch their faces when they are riding! cheesycheesycheesy

Good Morning Everyone!!!!
Does everyone have their sled ready? We have spent the past 6 months climbing up this hill and this weekend we get to start our downward desent towards Christmas Day!

Today is my daughter's first day of summer break. All those snow days this past winter extened their school year 4 extra days so yesterday was their last day of school.

Today is a mixed bag of emotions for me. Happy that we leave for vacation 2 weeks from today, happy that it's Friday and this weekend we pass the 1/2 mark to Christmas Day. On a sad note a good friend of mine lost her mother last night. She has been battling one illness after another for a long while and this past year has been extremely hard on all of them.

Minta - thank you for that wonderful visual image of a sled ride --- wizzing through a winter wonderland, towards Christmas! I will have to hold on to that when we hit our next 100 degree day!!!!! It may be hot.... but we ARE sledding downhill!

June Rudolph Day! I am going to spend some time playing with.... I mean ORGANIZING....... Christmas things! And.... some necessary time on real life things!!!!! :rudolph:

On a sad note a good friend of mine lost her mother last night. She has been battling one illness after another for a long while and this past year has been extremely hard on all of them.

Sorry to hear about her mother.
