Christmas Countdown - 2010

Well, good morning friends. Been up and at em' since early this morning and just now getting to check in and drink a little coffee. About to get into the kitchen and do some cooking, but trying to decide what to watch on the TV today.

Need some rain.....BAD! Three days this week, there was an 80% chance and we didn't get a drop. The farmers here are going crazy.

Yesterday was a pretty relaxing day, went to Uno's for dinner and then went to Toys R Us after, got a ton of ideas for the boys for Christmas just have to wait for a sale to take advantage of better pricing. Tomorrow my sister is going home, and I have to drive her back to Boston for her flight. It was a very fast week. It is also the day for JP's (5 y/o) tonsillectomy, so I will be driving while the surgery is going on which sucks I wanted to be there for him but she has no other ride.

I know everything will be okay with JPs surgery......but I know you wanted to be there......Someday he will be a father too and he will understand how 1 person cannot be in 2 places. Safe trip for your sister and for you driving her to the airport. I hope you have a fantastic week !!!

HSN's is this wednesday. It is not as good as QVC's but I will still watch it. Then shopnbc is doing theirs on the 21st. I have never watched them so I don't know what to expect from them.

THANK YOU! I was wondering when they were going to air their Christmas program but couldn't find the listing for it. I agree, it's not as good as QVC but I like it.

HSN usually has good Halloween sale program as well as QVC and my grandsons LOVE IT! I seriously think I will record it next time it's on for them to watch over again. They were glued to the tv last time it was on and then kept asking when does it come on again, lol. If you hear of when they will air the Halloween one please let me know! I would appreciate it very much. :ghost:

Well...this "eggnog chugger" (*burp*) has a bit of a headache this morning. I get migraines - especially when thunderstorms are on the way, and that is what they are calling for today.

I am still feeling bad today but not as bad as I was Friday. I went to church but I am not going to work today. I called my boss and said I can come in if he needed me there. He said he had someone coming in and wants me to get some rest and get better. They are great people to work for and care about their employees.

just watching the Soccer World Championship Final....both teams foul so much much....it looks more like greeco roman wrestling....I am rooting for the netherlands.

besides that....my daughter, who threw up because of the heat yesterday....twice....is climbing on me like I am Mount Everest....even tho 4-years is a cute age....it´s hella exhausting, too.....I am not looking forward to puberty....

I could write it down, tell the family to remind me but as soon as the grandkids walk in the door Wednesday morning the note will be gone and the family will forget to tell me. :lol: Once I check on here Wednesday morning I will turn on the tv asap! I think I will remember QVC since it's on the actual 24th & 25th.

well i'm feeling more festive than ever, i just KNOW this christmas is going to be the best one yet..... i am starting to plan all the wonderful things that i want to do in the season.

i've had a lovely weekend, spent the day at the local farmer's market on saturday and went to the village fayre at the local school too. all the community got together and it was a great day.

it's christmas in july on movies 24 and today i watched 'will you merry me' got that warm, fuzzy christmassy feeling as soon as it started....

Just checking in everyone !!

The Hallmark Ornement premiere was great !! There only some slight problems. My sister and I went to the shop we usually go to and they were out of business !! We had to adjust and go to another, which I could not remember where there was one and my sister lives a little away from here so she didn't know either. Finally a lightbulb went on in my head and I remembered one !! We were there in 10 minutes flat. The ornaments this year are amazing. I got all the ones I wanted and there were none that were already gone !!!

I can't wait until the next premiere with more new ornaments in October. They have like 3 in a year, July, October and then Christmas Open House in November I think. Perhaps It is December. Anyway, I am hoping make the October one. There are just a few more ornaments to get !! I got my 10th year Snowball and Tuxedo ornament which I really, really wanted plus Rudolph and the Bumble !! Gosh !! I could go on and on.

A very nice time with my sister too. We laughed Hysterically because we were listening to a classic rock station when Grand Funk came on Singing "Locomotion." It is too cool when Mark Farner's guitar comes in and it is not ANYWHERE NEAR the same key he is singing in !! What a riot !! A true classic. Anyway, it was a fun day.

When we took our train trip I took my laptop and watched a Christmas movie on the train. I love my laptop!

Sounds like you had a blast! I miss the days with "the girls!" My best friend passed away almost a year ago and another friend is busy with other stuff. :sad: Ahh! Sorry, I shouldn't come on here with sad things. I got a lot of family and a great husband, we do a lot of fun things! Just cherish your time with your sister! cheesy
