Happy Saturday Christmas buddies!

We saw my grandfather yesterday, and he is doing phenomenal. He looks good and in great spirits, lost a little weight and going home on Monday. He is 87 years old but he looks and acts like a man in his 50's, (hope those genes came my way) My older son was unfortunately freaked out when he saw his leg with the foot missing, it really scared him because I don't think he could comprehend what it would look like until he saw him. We got home made our dinner I made steaks on the grill, and a lobster for my sister first time I ever made one. During dinner my 2 y/o finished early and was walking around when I noticed he was to quiet and it was only 30 seconds since I saw him last, I got up to make sure he didn't go into the bathroom, but I noticed he opened the front door and went outside by himself I ran out after him and he was in the driveway, that gave us quite a scare. I ran to Walmart this morning and bought another lock. When my wife tucked him in he said "kittens, go get em they outside" we hadn't seen them for a while so we looked for them everywhere in the basement outside etc... My wife was crying thinking the kittens were gone when they all came out of there hiding spots. Never lacking excitement in this house.

Have a great Saturday

Very happy to hear your grandfather is doing well!

I remember the first time my oldest son opened the door for the first time! Oh...and he was taking my younger son by the hand with him! So - I can imagine how you felt. They grow up soooooooo quickly!!!

That is so scary about your son getting out. I am glad he didn't get too far. Kids are so smart and can figure anything out including how to unlock and open doors. You could also look into these door alarms that attach to the door and when they open, it sounds off. They have them at the Dollar Tree here and for a buck they really work. Very loud! Probably investing in the extra lock will do the trick though. cheesy

I am glad your grandpa is doing so well!

We made it to Hallmark and saw the pretty ornaments. I started feeling bad so we came home. We are not going to make it to Hobby Lobby today. I am going to lay around and rest up until I am better. My boss called me a little bit ago and told me not to come to work tomorrow but I told him if I am better I will call to see about coming in. He insisted I stay home and get better! I guess we will see how it goes tomorrow.

Hope u feel better soon!

I was going to suggest the door alarm too..my Mom has them for when she is watching the kids. Also we have this little thing that goes around the door handle and you have to push in both sides to get the door to open and so far my 3 1/2 year old hasnt figured it out. I think we got them from Babies R Us..and I have one on the front door and also the bathroom doors (so they cant get to the toilet).

xmas365, one of the first things a parent learns is that life with children is never boring! Glad he is safe and you can breathe again. cheesy

Well, here is how it went down....

We walk into Hallmark...my wife sees the ornaments and says is this why we waited until today to come.....we walk a few more steps and I say...no hun..

We get to the place where they are....they have a worker with the reindeer antlers on greeeting everyone to the "1st day of the premiere" or something like that...I turned around and my wife just rolled her eyes at me.

After about two minutes, she had picked up a dreambook and a membership form....

She told me to make sure we do this again next year!

They had some great ones there today. I really enjoyed it. About to look through the book right now.

See everyone in the morning.

Ballcoach, So glad you guys made it to the premiere !!! Hope you enjoy the book......some of the ornaments don't come out until the next premiere in October, though.....!!!!

Have a great night all !!

hi my friends.....four weeks have passed by as fast as Marion Jones.....the World Cup is over......the Germans....my team played great and became 3rd yesterday in a great, exiting soccer...no need to say I am a bit dissapointed we are not in the final...but the team is so so young....with a lil more experience they could be really scary!!!

anyway....soon, Kandice and I are travelling up north to the German Island Amrum for a rehab for her...she always has bronchitis...so the air up there hopefully helps her...looking forward to that....just not to being on the ferry for 2 hours....uuuuuuuurgh

I suffer from that many times a year - but its too bad I can't go to German Island Anrum too! Hmmmm...maybe if my doctor writes me a note??? :snowball:
