Christmas Countdown - 2010

Good evening all!


It was a long day today, my older boy spent the day with his grandmother, playing video games and relaxing, but is really giving us a hard time when it comes to taking his medicine (Tylenol). My wife and I had some errands to do, so my little guy got stuck coming with us, but we never go out just the 3 of us, so we took him to Taco Bell for lunch because he loves soft tacos, and then brought him to the mall to replace his sandals he grew out of. I also have to update my clothes because I have dropped a pant size from my diet 38 to a 36 so I got new pants too. I forgot about HSN CIJ until I was flipping through the channels so I saw very little of it :x I will try not to forget about QVC though.

howdy friends.....good lord why did I write howdy?

a little update on kandice....she seems be getting better since yesterday....she woke up with a slight fever....but it went away by itself........at 10am the fever came back.....I treated it with cold towels and it helped....when we had to drive to the train-station to pick up the son of my friend I gave her the fever juice to lower it....cos I was afraid she would overheat or however u call that in the car.......since then there was no fever no more....not tonight, not this morning.....so keep on praying my friends

Well, the wife and I celebrated our anniversary today. So much has changed in my life in the past 5 years that it is crazy...and all of it is for the good...but the three biggest changes are....

1. Change of job
2. Finding this site
3. Getting married to best woman I've ever known.

The mark you leave on this earth isn't how much you make or the car you drive, it's the impact that you have on others. It's just that simple. If that's the case, the impact my wife has on me...by showing me how to love and be a kind person....is beyond words.

Thank God for my wife....and thank God I found all of you!

I would say the aim is to get to Christmas cheesy LOL

We are on fire so far this year with # of posts at 6,708. Last year there where only 3,315 posts at the start of the 15th of July. We have more than doubled that this year.......187 more posts than in all of 2008!

I say we should go for a new record and try to get to 15,000 posts by the end of the year! (just over double what we have so far this year)

I'm kinda bummed about the number (or lack of) of Christmas shows on tv for Christmas in July. QVC & HSN have their specials but other than a Christmas episode of shows thrown in the line up here & there, there are no other Christmas movies or specials on this year that I have found. What a bummer!!! I guess I'll have to get out my dvd's!!

back from my morning walk and am dripping, it is hot already out there. But all this work is so worth it!
I have now lost just over 32lbs and the dress for my neices wedding zips up, even when I have it on. cheesy

The general goal each year is to better the prior year's record so we show a steady increase year by year.
That won't be any kind of a problem this year with the posting explosion.
The real challenge will come in 2011 when we try to better the extremely lofty record that will no doubt be set at the end of this year!

And with that lead-in, let's look at just where we are this year in our count:
Days to the Season: 121
Days to Christmas Day: 163
And of course, where we are is just past the 2/3 Season Milestone.
AND ----(Drum roll, please)----only 3 weeks away from the 100-day Season window which in turn means just 3 weeks and one day off from DOUBLE DIGITS!
Wow!

A tad overcast here this morning with the continuing threat of rain.
It was predicted yesterday but none fell.
Currently, I read 76 on my back door thermometer.

You all have a Thrilling Thursday, secure in the knowledge that tomorrow is Weekend Eve, the count continues to decline and all is right with the world.

My grandkids and I had a lot of fun yesterday. We had on HSN, had Christmas in July dinner and played Christmas music.

They will be over again today and may have to do more Christmasy things!

I missed quite a bit on here yesterday, I have a lot of posts to catch up on.

I had a great day off with my Boys yesterday. Both of them slept in until after 8...I couldnt believe it. I got some morning cleaning done. Then we went to Chuckie Cheese and the Mall. I bought Evan 2 new pair of shoes and Dylan his 1st pair of shoes. We also bought cookies and lunch out cheesy. I did watch and DVR some of HSN's Christmas in July..it was nice to see on live TV Christmas!!!

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

I had a great day yesterday. The kids (and Nancy) got me a couple seasons of Star Trek on DVD for my birthday, then took me to Olive Garden with my mom, and Nancy's mom, dad & sister. Everytime I go there, I eat too much. I keep saying that next time Nancy & I can split a plate, but I keep ordering an entire meal just for me. With that and the salad & breadsticks, it's just too much! Well, it was a good as ever.

Well, the birthday was yesterday. Now I'm back to working on the house as Nancy directs....er, requests.
