Christmas Countdown - 2010

Good Friday morning, Christmas friends!

Well...I'm like a kid (or...me) on Christmas morning cheesy! I'm picking our grand-daugther, Emma, up this morning!!! I am soooooooooooo excited!! They don't live close by - so I don't get the chance to see her all the time. We have Emma for weekend visits at least once a month - then in between I will go and visit her, my son and daugther-in-law.

I've got a great daughter-in-law (we are close) who calls me almost daily and if Emma is up, then she and I will have little chats on the phone cheesy.

It is a wet one here today. Lots of rain that will continue all day.
Have to get out for my walk yet, considering using the indoor track at the arena instead, or maybe just enjoy the rain

Good Weekend Eve Morning, Everyone!

Yes, another work week is nearly gone, soon to be replaced by yet another weekend as we march ever onward toward Christmas 2010.
Days to the Season: 113
Days to Christmas Day: 155
And so we pass under 2 weeks to the 100-day Season Milestone and double digits to the greatest time of the year.

No relief from the heat and humidity.
Our high yesterday was right at the predicted high of 97.
We now face 3 straight days of 99 degree highs.

No matter. We depart on our trip at first light tomorrow morning!
Thus, I leave you in Made's and Brent's capable hands!

Hi guys!
Almost a full month since my last post...I'm alive and well although I don't remember hating the heat as much as I seem to this year...Maybe I'm getting old!

It's been an odd summer to say the least...Friends losing parents, vacations planned and cancelled, jobs awarded and then changed...For a control freak like me it is a lesson in letting go, a lesson I SO need to learn...It's so great to come home and see the countdown so much further along and recognize so many of the names and characters...Life is a wonderful adventure to say the least, too bad it does not come with seat belts!

Good evening all!

I am up late, posting and was watching John Lackey of the Red Sox throw a no hitter until the bottom of the eighth inning, now I just hope the Sox hold on to win. Well today was the dreaded grocery shopping day, the boys just "love" that, never know if we got everything we need because we are trying get through quickly. JP is still getting better everyday, he will be able to eat real food again in a couple more days, he has been wanting pizza, and fried chicken. We may have to treat him when he is ready for it. Our little guy is speaking up a storm lately, we have been able to have actual conversations with him, with him asking questions back to us, it is amazing how quickly they learn.

I am glad JP is doing better. I just love that age when they start talking a lot. They really come up with funny stuff too!

Good Morning all.... It's going to be a very hot and humid weekend. I plan on cooking a turkey breast in the crockpot tomorrow and making a couple of pies tonight for this weekend. To hot to do anything outside so will get some stuff done inside the house and then chill and watch QVC while enjoying a mini turkey dinner.

We are listening to our Christmas music at work for our Christmas in July party...we will exchange our gifts at lunch time...its gonna be so hot here this whole weekend..tomorrow being the hottest at 103. Surely looking forward to some cooler weather. I was hoping Sunday wouldnt be really hot since I will have my ham cooking for our "Christmas in July" dinner. Have a great Friday friends!

That sounds great! I wish we had something like that around here. My office mates think I'm crazy because I still display the cards I got from last year's card exchange. LOL!

William is sick again..yes again. We also found out he has my asthma as well.

Hope he feels better. A friend of my son's has asthma, and it's scary for those of us with no experience, but the little guy can take care of himself with his inhaler. Hopefully, William doesn't have that problem, though.

JP is still getting better everyday, he will be able to eat real food again in a couple more days, he has been wanting pizza, and fried chicken. We may have to treat him when he is ready for it. I know you're relieved he's feeling better. Nothings worse that a child that's sick and you can't help them feel better.
