wow only 128 days away.... seems like time is speeding up... I cant wait to take out my fall decorations and savour my favourite season.... then comes the extra special season.... the Season of Reason.... sooo many reasons to love..laugh and be Merry!
:):):)

Good afternoon.

The good: For those who believe the seasons starts the day after Thanksgiving (and if you polled America, I bet that would be the date getting the most votes), it is 100 days away. Yes Black Friday is approaching.

The bad: Last night I wrecked my wife's car. Wasn't looking and pulled out in front of somebody. Our 14 month foster baby missed taking the brunt of the impact by about 6 inches. Instead the rear tire absorbed most of the hit. Amazing how hard a hit it was and, other than the wheel well, how little the car is messed up. Baby, me and the other driver were all checked out on the scene and everybody is fine. Other driver was able to drive away with only front bumper damage. I had to get towed because the whole wheel and struts are mangled but the frame is still straight and every door and the trunk open and close just fine. Maybe the bill will not be too bad.

Baby screamed her head off for the 1st minute after the collision and I don't wish that kind of fear of the unknown on any parent. And she is just our foster child, but we think of her as our own even though it is likely she will be leaving us to go back to her parents in a few months (bad situation). But, again, she is just fine and the soreness in my ribs and arm from the side airbag went away overnight.
scary, but so glad to hear everyone is Ok.
I feel the same way about the kids on my school bus, they are all "my" kids when I have them in my care.
Praying you heal quickly.

Happy Birthday!!!!

Good afternoon all!

Just got home from JP's follow-up appointment from his surgery, the Dr says all is well so that chapter is closed. The Dr looked like he was as old as Doogie Howser, it made me feel quite old. We took the boys out for lunch after that and JP ordered his first steak (I am so proud) it is so nice to see him eat something besides chicken nuggets or hot dogs at a restaurant and then for dessert both boys had a choco chip cookie sundae and it was served inside of a mini Boston Red Sox helmet. Well I got to go to work in 30 min.
Enjoy the rest of the day!
Glad he is doing well!
Good afternoon.

We just got back from taking the kids to the Children's Museum. We had fun but now I am tired! They come over tomorrow then I am off Friday and Saturday.

I hope you all had a great day!

I do believe the leaves on the tree in my front yard is begining to get a hint of yellow and orange on the leaves!!! Then again, it could just be wishful thinking on my part. I can't wait for fall. One step closer to the holiday season.

Nope...no wishful thinking on your part! LOL! I got a tree right outside my kitchen window and this morning I noticed several yellow leaves and I am not that far from you. The first signs of Fall are upon us! Glad your little girl is better.

YOU BET YA! It's happening...the season is a-changing!!! :???:

Ballcoach that is an awesome idea about celebrating both Thanksgivings! Canada's Thanksgiving happens to be the week of my Birthday so that would be an extra yummy Birthday/Thanksgiving dinner for me cheesy

There appears to be two very special days for us to celebrate that week!

We stayed up a little late last night watching America's Got Talent. There was a 12 year old brother & sister dancing act that was very good, but the dance they chose was a sort of Latin, sexy-type of dance that seemed a little too...grown-up...for kids that age. Maybe I'm just an old fuddy-duddy, though.

Kids grow up way too quickly! Don't work too hard!
