She brought me a couple of Santa ornaments from Seattle though so I forgave her.
How sweet of your mom!
When I got ino work and go to change my shoes - I notice that I've got a BLUE sock on one foot - and a BLACK sock on the other!
My cousin did something similar. He drove a truck and had to wear black pants. He was suppose wear black socks with them. One morning he was really tired and accidentally grabbed his wife's bright blue socks. He was embarrassed because every time he sat down his pants went up and the bright blue socks showed. Lol!
LC and I have had a fun day today, he is like my little shadow. He never followed me around when his brother was around but he is always within a few feet of me it seems at all times now, talking, showing me things. He "helped" me fix the fan of course taking the screws and throwing them isn't helping, but it is fun bonding time. I have been in a very Christmassy mood today watched some Christmas cartoons this morning, followed by blasting Christmas music while making some homemade Snickerdoodles right before lunch, of course LC helped, but I let him use Play-doh so he thought he was helping. I had a little bonding time like this with JP when he was 2, and it was really great. I talked to my grandfather today his wound is all healed so he is being fitted for a prosthetic and will be going for therapy on how to walk with one soon, so he is doing very well.
Nice bonding time! I have been watching lots of Christmas stuff too!

I am glad your grandfather is doing well!
Good thing we stopped in at Ben & Jerry's factory to chill for awhile!
We just went to Ben & Jerry's Saturday. Not the factory of course. cheesy I seen that factory on the Food Network. It looks cool!

kandice is taking a nap and I am watching King of queens....gon pic up the car...the heater got repaired...finally no freezin in the car this winter.....last winter we were freezing our butts off

And for all you Beverly Hills 90210 fans out there...today is 90210 (Sept 2 2010)!
I was hooked on the original 90210. How cool it matches the date.
Good Morning all, it seems like most people around me are preparing for Hurricane Earl to come along. I am in NJ and I see we will be getting something from it. Anyway, whereever it is, I pray for everyones safety. May everyone have a blessed day, and I will chime in again soon. Be SAFE!!!
I am glad you are safe and hope for others to be safe!

Good Thurday morning, my Christmas friends! (It is Thursday, right?)

It was another uneventful evening yesterday. I should have cut the grass, but I didn't. I should have washed my truck, but I didn't. I should have...well, you get the idea. I gotta get in gear!

My son's birthday is Sunday, and he's been trying to arrange a big airsoft war with his buddies, but we keep running into scheduling conflicts. Airsoft is BB guns with plastic BBs. They wear long sleeves & pants and safety glasses, and go to war! I might have to join in on this one. LOL!
I got the "I should have" everyday! Lol!

I bet the party will be fun!

Good Morning!

Mmmmmm....boy were those fired twinkies great!.....
Yes, Carl reported it was an exceptionally good batch this time.
A couple of daring folks decided to try the blueberry coffee but by the time they reached the dining room, Binger was just consuming the last drop.
(Just as well, I guess)

OK. I guess the weather is the big news for us. No, not the heat. I refer to Hurricane Earl which is menacing the NC coast where our cottage is located, although we are off the Outer Banks which should feel the brunt of the storm.
We had been planning to go over there tomorrow for the Labor Day weekend but are now watching and waiting.
Fortunately, the last of our renters left on Sunday, completing the rental season.

OK, on with the unstoppable march to Christmas 2010:
Days to the Season: 72
Days to Christmas Day: 114
Two weeks from today, that 100-day Window opens and starts letting in the first wonderful odors of Christmas.
Can't wait!

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Friends.
(Will let you know if a coundown volunteer will be needed for the weekend.)

I just got a call from my son-in-law. They are taking my granddaughter to the doctor today. This is day 3 of her fever. The problem is, she doesn't act sick! I have had her with me the past couple of days and the only difference with her is she takes an extra nap. Other than that, her appetite is decent, she smiles a lot and still playing. I know I will be worried sick until I hear from them.

I really worry big time when my babies are sick. My son almost died at birth and then really got sick at 6 months of age. I took him to the doctor with a fever assuming I would go home with an antibiotic and he would be fine. They sent him to the hospital to be admitted with influenza. Then in later years lots of trips to the ER for asthma attacks. Now if my grown kids, grandkids, husband, parents barely get the sniffles I worry. I always think the worse. :-?

Good morning CHRISTMAS Family !!

Well, today another migraine !! No matter. Took plenty of meds now feeling MUCH better and happier ( could there be a correlation ?? LOL, there CANT be that much up there to hurt.) Anyway, I hope all have a WONDERFUL CHRISTMASSY day !!!

Fall equinox in 20 days !!!!!

Good Morning....Pray all of you are having a wonderful Thursday....Christmas-A-Holic my prayers are with your grandbaby, it is hard not to worry about them, but just remember you have friends here to listen if you need us....God bless each of you, always....

Crown, I saw this picture earlier, and thought you might like it:

Take a look at the street name at the top of the GPS screen. It doesn't say "Shispering Pines", though.:?

Thanks, Brad.
(And Carl thanks you, too.)

Ya...I know the feeling. Every morning before I go to work I have all these great plans ab
out what to do that evening. Then - by the time I get home from work...I feel like doing nadda! And most times, that's exactly what I do!

Sounds like fun on Sunday! Happy birthday to your son!

I was hooked on the original too. Not so much the new one. I stopped watching it mid season.

I've almost got all the seasons of the original!

Actually - the significance of today's date: Sept 2, 2010...also known as 9/02/10 is apparently a celebbration day of the show 90210! Heck...I might be celebrating if I didn't have to work! Hahaha!

I know what you mean I have been procrastinating with the lawn here for a few weeks now, I have got to do it before the rain comes in tomorrow.

Glad the migraine has subsided with the meds.

I know what you mean, I have a hard time sleeping well when my boys are sick, I get up and check on them a few times a night when they are really sick, or I listen for a cough or movement. I always worry too much, I guess its part of my anxiety.

I have been feeling lazy for the last couple of weeks. I don't know whats causing it but I also need to get myself in gear.

The airsoft war sounds like fun!!!!!!

This past month I've been housesitting for a friend with a computer, that's how I found you. Looks like I'm moving this weekend, so I'm packing up my few things today and getting the house in order. I've never had a computer before and doubt that I will again - I see why people like the internet so much - it's been great fun to participate on your forum! Everyone has been very kind and welcoming! I wish everyone a very merry christmas! Joy to your world!...... Love, Tink

We will miss you Tink, your posts have been great and fun to read. Merry Christmas to you also.
