Christmas Countdown - 2010

Good afternoon, everyone!

We're coming down the stretch! Milestone Thursday has arrived and turning our final corner to the Christmas Season! If you ask me, there are only a few more weeks until the real signs of Christmas begin to arrive and welcomed into our everyday lives.

Today, I have my final presentation before practicum begins on Tuesday. It is another group presentation, so it will definitely lighten the load. Afterward, I am done for the day! Although there is 8:30 class tomorrow morning, apparently tonight is a big "party" night amongst the Teachers College students. Everyone who is not remaining in North Bay for their practicum will be heading home for Thanksgiving and teaching placement. This means that it is the last opportunity for us all to "celebrate" our final night of the five weeks of classes that we have had. I think I may suck it up a bit and have some fun tonight. Not too much, but some.

The weather here is beautifully sunny, but windy. This has been the warmest week since I arrived in North Bay... But, I think we are all prepared for the November cold that will follow our practicum. No complaints here! ... Well, I should work on my presentation and make sure I deliver my notes properly!

90 percent toward the Christmas Season has arrived. Only about a week until we reach the one month until the Christmas Season. Not an official milestone, but still quite the accomplishment! Have a great Thursday, everyone!!

I picked up this mug at a thrift store yesterday for 99 cents. It's from Bath & Body Works so I am sure it wasn't too cheap brand new. I fell in love with the Santa sitting on the handle.

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

We leave for a short vacation in the mountains today! The kids are out of school Friday and Monday, so we're heading to the mountains after school today. We're planning to attend a huge fall festival that'll have several musical acts, including Lynyrd Skynyrd & 38 Special, two of my favorites!

I'll be here at work till 2pm, then I'm outa here. I still don't have a laptop, so I won't be able to check in till I get home on Sunday.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I know I will!

I am loving these chilly mornings!

The next 2 days will get up to 89 degrees. Yuck! At least the morning are nice and no air conditioning required.

I hope to get my outdoor Halloween decorations out today.

89... blech! Have fun with the Halloween stuff! I have had my fall stuff out but I have more "Halloween-ish" stuff in the basement.. I should go get it!

Hi everyone Holland has beautiful autumn weather and as i walked to my volunteer job this morning i was really enjoying myself.
I help older (75+ ) people clean their houses, go shopping, pay their bills (tax can be really hard) and other little things. This morning i was with a lovely couple that had their house a little decorated for christmas... they told me they get one thing out every week starting in september, and then decorate their entire house the first week of december... they were lovely!
Really got me into a good mood

Tomorrow and the day after me and the redaction of the cake decorating magazine i work for will go to a cake decorating fair, i assume it will be great but really tiring and busy

I let my oldest grandson decorate this table with Halloween stuff. It's jumbled on there but I like it. I noticed after he was finished that Santa is in the middle of it all. Lol! I decided to leave him there, he can enjoy Halloween too!

There's something so unique about childrens' decorating, it's so interesting and fun. I love it myself!

It is warm but not too warm today here in Ohio and this weekend is the next Hallmark Ornament premiere !! I can't wait. My sister and I have planned to go together. Also, I can tell it is DEFINITELY getting close to the Season as I got this year's edition of Christmas Ideals a couple of days ago !!

Good Afternoon Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow 90% to the season. In no time we will all be gathering here to ring in the season together. Today has been kind of a lazy day for me. I took some benadryl to help with my allergies this morning and it knocked me out. Tonight our big festival here in town starts. I don't think I will go out tonight but I will defintely be there early tomorrow to see all of the crafts and for some of that good deep fried food. I usually go with my mom and aunt on friday to see if they like anything in the craft booths and then on saturday I go back out and buy it for them to put back for christmas. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!
