I've had some days like that with my 15yr. old son, but i just try to brush it off and tell myself he's a typical teen. It does still hurt though. I'm sorry he said something hurtful to you. Try not to let it ruin your whole day though... maybe put on some Christmas music and do something Christmassy to help get your mind off it. Hang in there!

The weekend before last, my husband noticed a scowl on a woman's face as she was exiting a store with her husband and he questioned what makes a person frown like that. I said, "check the backseat of the car, they have teenagers."

:rudolph: Not all teenagers are hard to deal with, but most go through a phase and if it's handled well everyone comes out just fine and perhaps even laugh about it a few years down the road.

Hang in there Snowytree, this too shall pass.

Nevermind! I see you all have your names where you are being timed running. Lol.

I miss working out! I wish I had a group of people to work out with. It makes the time go by well. I don't want to do heavy duty lifting but back to what I use to do for 5 straight years.

You all look like you had fun!

I've been doing my own thing since last Friday trying to nurse my way back at it after the trouble I had with my back. Tomorrow bright and early, I'm trying the spin cycle class again after nearly three weeks. I sure missed it.

Yup! I am the short stalky one. It was a fun experience. We were all wondering how we were so stupid to create such a workout while we were doing it, but it was all worth it when it was done.

It is certainly something that has to become a routine. I make sure I fit it into my daily plan. If I am not in the gym at least three times a week, something is wrong. I need to workout. It is just something that keeps me sane and helps me feel good.

I work in a building full of teenagers. Kids, good ones included, say the meanest things to each other and I know they talk the same way to their parents. Sad to say, when I was younger....I had my fair share of issues with my parents. As I got older, I realized it and have done everything I can to make up for it.

While I don't have any of my own (although I feel like I have 400 because I feel like I help raise them), I know that while they say things that hurt, one day they will see you are doing what's right by them and they will love you even more for it.

God bless you and your tough love. We need more like you out there.

If anyone is interested, here is how we celebrated my good friend Luke's 30th birthday this past weekend in Ottawa. The workout was very intense and exhausting. I apologize for any improper language, but I think the video is pretty clear despite how sore and hurting we really were.

I have to say, I've never celebrated anyone's birthday quite like that. You and your friends realize, you'll have birthday's too and Luke just might want to think payback plan of his own unless he's still hurting. HaHa.

As the video states, "It was margaritaville's idea." We created the concept while celebrating the summer with margaritas. Unfortunately, we only like to blame the idea on margaritas. We are all very competitive (as you could probably see) and I am sure we would have came up with something similar even if there were no margaritas involved! There are a few others turning 30 next year (I still have five years) and we have agreed that their new decades will be celebrated with similar workouts - if not the exact same one. Thanks for watching, Auntie. I hope he is still hurting, because I certainly still am!!

Well, how was everyone's trip to the Pines?

I'm convinced that camel doesn't like me!

I sit here typing with one hand because a 5 week old kitten is asleep in the other. She came to live with us yesterday. Owners said she was 7 weeks old, but vet says she is only 5 weeks. She is so tiny, only 12 inches from tip of nose to tip of tail. When she runs around her tail sticks up straight just like a mouse's, so she named her "Mouse"

This is my daughter with her new baby.

She is so adorable, Christmasstar !! Thank you for posting this.

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

The weather is still wonderful down here, 50° and clear this morning. I can't believe just a few weeks ago it was inthe 90's!

A couple weeks ago, I noticed on our credit card statement that someone has used my card to open a Dish Network account back in May. I'm ashamed to say that I dont' always read the statements. Since then, they charged over $600 on my card to pay for the Dish service. When I finally realized what was happening, I called Dish and the CC company to report the fraud, and the CC suggested that they take my card number out of service and send me a new one. I agreed, of course.

Fast forward to yesterday, Nancy was in a nearby town at Wal-Mart picking up some stuff. When she got to the counter, she realized she was out of checks, so she handed to clerk the card...DENIED. LOL! Ok, it's funny today, but she was HOT about it yesterday. She didn't have the other card with her, so they took the buggy from her and put the stuff back on the shelf. She was so embarrassed. I just got an email today saying the new card'll be here in a few days.

I tried to find out who had my card number, but neither Dish nor the CC company would tell me without a subpoena. I guess thieves have more rights than victims. Oh well.

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

What an ordeal !! I am sorry for the trouble you guys have had ! I have learned to check my statement EVERY month.........I am like a hawk !!! If there is anything odd, I (Hopefully) see it....Hope things are straightened out for you...........

Friends, have a good night. Just think, in the morning, we will be one less sleep until Christmas!
