Christmas Countdown - 2010

We got one of my favorite Christmas time desserts in tonight, and of course I bought it, and had a big slab of it tonight. It is the Friendly's Jubilee Ice Cream Roll it tasted so good. Hey, I am doing my part of buying local, I grew up in the town of Wilbraham, the home of Friendly's. The season is so close I can taste it now. The night at work was okay, I have tomorrow off, and I WILL get those leaves done.

Good morning everyone! Today is really cold, here, the season must be near by! Today i am finishing my christmascards and the first bunch of christmas presents for sure!
But first I have got to finish an important translation, it's for one of my last courses in university i have to finish to finish my first major *Chinese*, the subject is translating Chinese Newspapers, it's challenging! So i'm going to check it over and over again, have to hand it in in an hour and a half!

Been to my daughters harvest festival this morning, bless them they both sang their hearts out! Was really proud! Driving them to school this morning the temp in the car was 2.5c! It was sooo cold, going to have to go get the kids new hats, scarves and gloves now!!!cheesy

Tomorrow is the closing on our loan for our new furnace. I just hope nothing goes wrong !! This was hard to get and a much needed replacement for our old which is 57 years old. !

Good for you! I am trying to take a 2+ mile walk daily to get back in pre-baby shape. It's tough staying motivated but I know I just have to do it!

I left the window A/C unit in the first winter I was here and will never do it again. The way the apartment buildings are oriented the wind just whips in between them and you couldn't keep the drafts out. Most years I don't even put my window unit in. I just rely on the one that is built into the wall in the living room. With it being so hot this year though the one unit on it's own just couldn't keep up.

With those nasty rain storms a few weeks ago, rain came THROUGH our window a/c unit!!! THe rain was going completely sideways and it went through the little vent thing and onto our window sill! I was shocked. My hubby finally took ours out this last weekend - we better not need it again!!

Mmm.. I loooove Friendlys! My favorite things are those little Reese's ice cream cup thingies.. mmmmmmmm sooo good!

Another cool-ish day today! We're going to head on another long walk, I hope. I just want to fit into my cute clothes soon!! I went on a major shopping spree about a week before I found out I was pregnant last year so I never got a chance to wear most of the stuff much. ... so that's my motivation to get the baby weight off!

Not much else going on.. trying to think of what to make for dinner. Anyone have any ideas for chicken in the crockpot? If not, I am going to check out the Crockpot365 site because she is so clever!

Ooh - I remember what I wanted to ask you all! Can anyone recommend somewhere to get battery-operated LEDs for a reasonable price? My husband is looking into those for one area out front.

I worded that wrong. Lol. I said, Not many people remove their window units through the winter, I guess I should have added, in our area most people don't remove their window units. cheesy

I could imagine it would be drafty keeping it in living up north. This is my first year with one in and I think I can get by with covering it and drawing the curtains in front of it. My parents and uncle leave theirs in all winter and seems to work. Most of our winter is mild but it does get cold from time to time. :cry:

By the way, thanks for the reminder on HSN Christmas! I have it on now! =)
