Welcome to Wednesday! Tired today. A friend came over last night to help my Wife watch our Son. Basically to give her a break LOL. Kinda off topic, anyone here watch the show outsourced? If you dont, DO. Its funny stuff. This weekend Im putting up the lights on the house. Cant do it during the week because when I get home its too dark! The tree isnt up because we have to get a new one this year. Ours is waaayyy too big, didnt think there was any problem, but the Wife does. hehe Have a great day all!

Good foggy morning!!! How did it get to be hump day already?? This week is flying!!! Must be the Holiday season - always goes too fast!!!

Went to the Christmas open house/ladies night at the hardware store Sunday! So way cool!! Went back again on Monday night! Lol!!! I have definately been bit by the Christmas bug!!!

Chilly again here, only now with the threat of rain for the next two days.
Currently, it is 50 degrees outside my back door.

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

The elections are finally behind us, so maybe I won't get so many political phone calls! I don't even know half of the people these calls are supporting.:-?

Today they are starting to harvest my mom's pecan trees. They have a tractor that grips the trees and vibrates it very hard, shaking the pecans out. Then another tractor with a pull-behind gatherer sweeps up all the fallen pecans. From there, they are taken to a cleaner that tumbles the gathered pecans in a large fan, blowing out all the leaves and other light trash. Then the pecans come out on a conveyor belt, allowing you to view them for other stuff that needs to come out. The conveyor drops the pecans into large croker sacks (burlap bags, for the non-southerners among us!). We load the bags on a trailer and carry them to market. The market for pecans is very high right now, so we need to get them sold ASAP.

Sorry if that's too much info. It's pretty interesting to watch if you've never seen it happen before.

Good morning My MMC family!

It's 66 and raining like all get out here. I do Love the Rain, I have to admit! Wish it was snow, cause you dont see it alot here in Louisiana, and coming from an ol Tennessee gal I sure do miss it!

We are all gearing up for the hoildays here.:hello: The kids are beside themselfs cause we are bringing out all the decorations this Satuday. it's going to be AWSOME cause The youngest is almost two (his b-day is the 14th of this month!) and he and our nephew (who is only a month and a half younger) is at that stage where the lights alone tickle them to pieces! Oh the wonder and amazment when they see them! Times like that are priceless!


I'm feeling better as y'all can tell, did anyone miss me here? LOL J/K I wanna thank everyone for the well wishes I got. Means a bunch to me!
but now I'm back to my Ornery self! (much to the rolling of eyes and dismay from Mr. Jeff and RJD!!! J/K y'all! But I can talk again YAYYYYY!!!)

But anyways, Got the Thanksgiving Menu all done( been done for over a month) and can't wait! Like I said to another dear friend of mine on here, if they walk away hungry on thanksgiving it's their own dang fault! LOL

I am having a terribly busy day... I feel tired all the time...! But Tommorw I'm going to a christmas fair! I do have to work there, but it'll be sooo much fun and soooo christmassy I'll take tons of pics of course

Nearly half way finished decorating the outside of my house. Don't you just hate when you string icicle lights (or in my case get someone to do it for me) and 15 minutes later they blow a fuse? It's kind of deflating for me. I don't do ladders, so that repair will have to wait.

My wife and I were out yesterday putting things up and changing lights to blinkers and repairing bulbs and even though it was 47 degrees, our fingers were just freezing. Could definately tell that we aren't used to the cold yet.

My neighbour across the street has all of his lights up and in fact they were lit and on last night. I find it strange that an 75 year old man can put all of his lights up and have them on in 2 days and I'm 35 and nowhere close yet. Looks like we may have a few days of rain ahead of us so that will put a delay on things for a few days. I just want them UP!!!

It's amazing the difference 3 or 4 days make. Everything just seems like it's leading to something wonderful. I love it.

Thats awesome. Makes me soooo happy to see lit homes at this time of year. My lights are going up this weekend, I dont have time during the week and when I get home its dark out!

Good Afternoon Everyone!!!!!!! I went out and worked this morning and now I am dragging. I need to stop staying up half of the night. I have a few more accountants to run tomorrow and then I will officially be unemployed. That should give me plenty of time to make my cookies and candy this year. I don't have much planned for the rest of today. I will probably turn on the news and then lay down and take a nap. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone! I spent my morning painting an acfcent wall in my livingroom...it is the most beautiful deep red color now....I LOVE IT!!!! I am working the 3-11 shift tonight, then I have # whole days off...Time to get decorating!

Good evening, my dear Christmas family !!

I just finished putting out my nativity scene. As some of you know, this is no easy task. My nativity scene doesn't just have the Holy Family, angels and wise men, it has tons and tons of animals coming to wish Jesus Happy Birthday !!! I don't know how I started it but each year I add more and more animals. I have everything from Aardvarks to Zebras (including lots of polar bears and dogs and cats !!!). It takes me hours to get them all set up. At last I just got finished. This year I added a Kangaroo complete with baby in her pouch and also another cow laying down with her feet tucked underneath her.

I also put my Santas on the mantle !!! So it is coming along. I am so excited !!!! Have a wonderful evening everyone !
