Just got back from shopping. I found several deals on scrapbooking stuff which I plan to use for Christmas gifts. I guess I better get myself in gear and get to work. I hope everyone has a great evening.

I got into scrapbooking for the first time last year. It was a lot of fun but A LOT of work. It was a gift for my daughter when she graduated college. I did a book of her from birth up until a young adult. I went through boxes and boxes of photos and that took a lot of time.
I am going through Christmas movies today, not actually watching, but listening sort of while studying. Anyway, I did get to watch the last part of "It's a Wonderful Life", which I watch every Christmas, and I am crying like a baby a the end. Go figure, must be stress or being over tired from all the school stuff.
Now, back to the books!!

As I mentioned before, I have seen that movie at least 200 times. I still get teary eyed every time I watch it.

I love the line from Clarence, "Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he"? It gets me every time. It's a reminder of how important we all are even if we feel like a failure.

It's 9pm and I'm finally sitting down to start my homework.. only light in my room: christmas lights around my window, a frosted cupcake scented candle from bath & body works, & my laptop screen.
Listening to Winter Wonderland as I type this :)
I've missed a bunch of your posts so when I'm done I'll catch up on those
Have a good evening, everyone

CanineMom,
Did you read the message I sent about creativity and grief?

Oh my gosh, I am really, really slacking AND lacking in paying attention !! Cherylle, yes, thank you !!! I plan on trying scrapbooking here soon. I think it is an excellent idea. Maybe I could use it as an outlet to help with missing all those dear ones including Punkin' whom I have lost !! It was very sweet and kind of you to let me know about it !! I may need some tips along the way !! Thank you so very much !!! xo

No, CanineMom, you are NOT a slacker!! I have been taking LOTS of pictures of our "baby" so I can scrapbook them! Trust me, scrapbooking or some form of creativity does help in times of need!!

HI ALL!!!!!! Less than 3 weeks, WOWZA!!!! Where has the past few weeks gone? I have been really busy with work but decided to take tomorrow off so I can get some things done around here. Namely finishing up my outside deco and getting cards stamped and ready to go out, baking some more goodies and putting the finishing touches on some gift ideas.
Mr. HJ is in a Christmas funk and I am doing what I can to bring him out of it but he is being stubborn.
CHilly here and I am wanting some SNOW. Someone from up north please send just a little our way. THought we were gunna get some the toher day when we saw a few flakes but then it ended up turning to freezing rain, GRRRRRR.

Hi all! Hopefully I have some time to catch up today! Although I am shocked by only 18 days left till christmas! There's so much I still have to do!

Had a lovely weekend! Saint Nicholas stopped by and I had all my brothers and their partners, and my parents and my boyfriend, it was great! :) And we got our Christmas tree saturday, and were totally snowed in! From now on focus on buying a house, studying for my exams and of course Christmas! :)
Hope every one is well and I will have the time to catch up in between all the things I have to do!

I was about to ask you how your day was! Mom again was telling me stories about the celebrations when she was young. Glad to hear you had a great day!

Good Morning MMC !

Winter has hit the province with a one tow punch. It is not to bad right here, but where I have to be this afternoon, [London] for school everything is shutting down.
Will call school before leaving and see what is going on.

If I cannot go, I will just have to bake I guess.cheesy

Have a great day everyone!!!!!

Sorry about the Colts, Made. We had the game on at work but I could not watch the whole game. I came home just in time for overtime! What a game!

Now I am sitting here with Wayne watching his Ravens play. cheesy

Thanks!!! I have given up on this season. There are to many Injuries and peyton is just trying to hard to make plays. :-?

Happy St. Nicholas Day to all those who celebrate it!

I think I will do something special to celebrate it with my grandkids. I plan to tell them the story of the real St. Nicholas because my 5 year old grandson said he never heard the story.

I hope you all have a blessed day!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!!! It is freezing here in central Indy. We currently stand at 9 degrees with a wind chill of -10. I have the heat cranked up and the christmas music on though so it is going to be a good day. My plan for today is to start my candy making. I want to make up a couple of batches of hard candy. I also may go ahead and make up my truffles and throw them in the freezer. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

******* CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY #24 *******

Good Morning, New Week Friends!

Onward we march to Christmas 2010:
Days to Christmas Day: 19 (Doesn't 19 sound so much less than 20?)

Cold weather continues in these parts.
The high is not supposed to get out of the 30's today and tomorrow, then only warm to 40 for Wednesday.
It's 31 right now.
BRRRR!

Whew!
All Christmas decorating completed!
Got all my cards out yesterday as well.
And just have one more gift to get + do my wrapping.
(It's a lot less stressful to get things done sooner rather than later, isn't it?)

You all have a Marvelous Monday, Folks.
(And hey! We need more contributions in the Blossoms thread. Get those cameras snapping!)

If you haven't seen the Hallelujah flash mob on youtube you should check it out

thanks for reminding me!

Yeah!!!!!!
I got a snow day!!!

No school for me today!!
enjoy yourself! All our snow melted today! but i did read that Holland was colder than Canada the past few days :P (it was really cold for Dutch standards :P !)

Thank you! Very kind of you to remember that! Actually in Holland, we celebrate 'pakjesavond' (='Saint Nicholas-eve') on the evening before his birthday, because it is told that he would hand out gifts on the evening before his birthday, and then go home on his birthday and enjoy the great memories of an other year of having made hundreds of children happy! So that's why we celebrated yesterday evening!

I am a little stressed out... our realtor was telling us that we had to choose between 2 houses, and if wanted the one they were still building, we had to decide before today at 12. We decided to get the other one, but now we hear the owner does not want to sell it at all...!! So now we probably want to get the other one, but we have to talk about it, but i'm all stressed out that if we want to buy that tomorrow it will be sold...
my boyfriends at work, and i'm stressing out by myself... he told me to decorate the house for Christmas to get it off my mind... so that's what i am doing now... also got our cards done and got christmasstamps, they look like this:
Decemberzegels-2010-vel.jpg

and also keep being remembered of my grandmother, who i last saw a year ago today, as she passed away a year ago tomorrow... She is still very much loved...
thank you for listening/reading :P had to get this of my mind...

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

Hopefully I'm one day closer to getting rid of this cold.

We hung the new pole-mounted Christmas lights Saturday. I'm pretty sure GA Power is coming out today to hookup service to the new receptacles. It should be beautiful! Also, we're doing our annual luminaries down the sidewalks on Christmas Eve and Christmas night.

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy
