Hello hump day everyone! It was 87F here on monday afternoon, right now it is cloudy windy and 52F with the wind chill in the upper 30's!! unreal! I dont ever remember any october day being this chilly around here..but it is a good thing!
It's not that cool over here. Like you said before; being this close to the coast, the water warms the air in the winter. Still, it was 73° at 8 AM, and now it's 60° and windy. WOW!

It was raining pecans at my house at lunch!

You twit!!!!!!!!

:snowball:

partypeople.....I am so stupid....lol....today at work...on my mail delivering route......with the car because of my cold....I had one certain mail to deliver....I left the car running, jumped out delivered the letter.....btw the car was in the middle of the road....lol.....when I got back to the car, I realized that I had locked the car and there was no way of getting inside......so I had to call my mother, to come where I am....so I could take her car, drive home and pick up my extra-car-key...lol....while she waited with my car.......that took about an hour of my time

Just think happy thoughts Track, you were right where you were supose to be for some reason it was meant to be.... Hmmm, even I am not convinced on that one; I hate when things like that happen and feel for you!!!

Just getting in from work,it's been a long day but I am glad I am home. I am just reading a story in the news about the escaped exotic animals from a zoo in ohio! I hope they find the animals without hurting them! stories like that always make me feel so sorry for the poor animals! Other than that it has been a good day. The weather is freaking awesome! leaves blowing in the wind, nice crisp air. tonight I may actually have to turn on the heat.

I heard the guys here talking about that story... It is nasty out over here windy, pouring (hmmm - no pecans here in NY but how about POTATOES!!!!)

Well everyone, I've started to get caught up on the posts and everytime I tried to post replies, it has booted me out, so...needless to say...I am not going to try that again! So SORRY I am not going to reply to anyone over the past couple of days in a big reply. Just know that I was thinking of all of you!

Well I just got my mail and discovered the Thanksgiving edition of Taste of Home and a Bronners catalog. I know what I'm going to be doing tonight.

I heard this story on the way home from work. Its crazy. It said that the gentleman had recently been let out of prison (in prison for firearms) and was working at the zoo where he decided to let all the animals free before shooting himself. A number of the animals have already been killed, I don't know why they had to kill them instead of capturing or using tranquillisers, and there are apparently still grizzly bears and other large animals wandering free.

Poor Animals

Actually, we usually gather them and sell them at the farmer's market. Right now, good ones are going for $3 a pound!

I'm having the same problem on one of the computers I access MMC with---I discovered that if I click the box that says Remember Me when I log in at the top of the page, the forum behaves and doesn't drop me every time I change pages or click a link. Give that a try.

I once locked my baby boy in the car. I locked my door to go around and get him out of his car seat only to find all the doors locked with my purse , keys and son still inside. (he was only a couple of weeks old) A man was working near by and he got a coat hanger and had it open in a short time much to my relief.

we are hearing that story here too. Sure hope they find them all. I agree, no need to kill them when there are so many ways to capture them safely. But then again, I or my family are not the ones in danger because of it.

I love to read too! Have you checked out the Christmas library,Christmas literature or joined the book club here? Some great stuff !!!

Yes, I have! I also have a personal library of a couple thousand unread books and a few hundred well-loved books I've had for years that I reread from time to time - I just love to read!

Hi everyone!
I've been very busy for the past couple of weeks. If I don't have piles of homework, I'm ether spending time with my friends or family. If I'm not doing that, I'm working on my college applications. It's wearing me out! Hopefully by the middle of next month everything will slow down and I'll be able to have time to myself again.
I hope you all are a lot less stressed than I am! Have a great night everyone!!

I hope things calm down for you - sounds like you have a very good life, though! Best of luck with the college applications!!

Good evening, Christmas family

Tail is dragging a bit tonight. Today at about 1 p.m. I started developing a monster migraine. I tried being where it is dark and being quiet thinking it would subside. By 2:20 it was not any better so I decided to call work and tell them I didn't think I could work my shift like that. Now, I have to say I NEVER call off. In fact this is the first time I called them with an illness. Instead of telling me anything, the person I had spoken to asked if I could hold, which of course I said yes. They turned me over to the owner. He was very nice but explained that they are really far behind and are asking everyone to try to work their shifts. I know they are behind because I just had to put in 8 hours mandatory this past Friday.

Now, I understand the obligation they have and If I had a habit of calling off I would have expected this. But I dont call off. Of course, even though I was miserable, I told him I would take extra medication and get through my shift. (After all this was the OWNER). The whole thing has just upset me to no end. People aren't allowed to get sick ?? I came away feeling like I did something wrong and I feel as though I look like an idiot. Why did I need to be turned over to the CEO ?

I wish all a very Christmassy evenig. Maybe I won't be so sad tomorrow.......(((HUGS)))) xo

Does anyone here understand why I am upset ??

I hope this finds you better, CM3! I, too, understand why you were upset! (((((HUGS)))))

I read this post with an Australian accent..inside my head. Hope that doesn't make me strange..

That makes you just like me :merry:

Good morning world!!!

Guess what?? It's SNOWING!!!!!!!!!!! Not on the hills, not 10 miles away but coming down on my house and garden!!!!

It won't lie - the ground is still too warm for that - but keeps up like this, there will be snow on the ground by the time our car gets back from the shop. Talking of which, did I share with you the wonderful news that we were rear-ended?? Apparently, we weren't supposed to stop at a roundabout to let the truck proceed - as it was his right of way - we were supposed to keep going and because we misguidedly thought we should avoid getting our ribs caved in by the truck, we were rammed in the rear by a work van who promptly blamed us.

Yeah..........we didn't bang into you!!!!!!!!!!! Have you ever noticed how helpful insurance companies are when you aren't to blame??!!!!!!!

Yay for the snow - and I must say I am a wee bit jealous! I'm glad you are okay after the fender bender!!!

I have decided to start my Christmas early. Start listening to Christmas music full time in October to enjoy the season that much longer. . . Well back to work I go. Have a good day everyone!

I was playing MCR at my cousin's today as it's never too early to listen to Christmas music!!!

On the note, my mother is having a benefit Halloween dance for two people here in my town. I am very excuted, however it is also accompanied by sadness...Both are under 30, and both have terminal cancer. Unfortunately, the young man did not make it, he passed away last week . . . thus being said, the girl is still alive, and doing as well as she possibly can! It just hits home when you went to school with them, and to see people suffer... Blah I can't handle it

Oh, Britt, I am so sorry - my prayers are going up for you and your friends! What a wonderful thing your mom is doing! ((((HUGS))))

I'm a little down today...money troubles have me a bit glum. I'm just tired of living paycheck to paycheck but I'm building savings so I should be happy. It's just the rate of it that has me bummed. It's SO SLOW.

It's a really rainy day and I usually love them but I'm a bit bummed out.

I know that things can always be worse. Hearing about some of your stories, I feel very lucky. I am sorry for your troubles and I am reminded that I should keep my chin up. So thanks.

Mine is growing very slow, too, but at least it isn't losing anything. Several family members and even some of my friends have lost bundles of late in their 401Ks. I hope your day improves and it snowballs into an amazingly great week!!!!

I love to read too, but 14 books I would feel overwhelmed... Good for you, where I am the Public Library is small, next town over it is huge but I'd have to pay a fee to use that one!!! It stinks!

We have small libraries, too. I have library cards to my hometown library and three of the surrounding communities' libraries - works out great because other than real popular authors such as Stephen King, if one library doesn't carry the series I am currently reading one of the other ones usually has it. I am currently trying to hunt up the very first Perry Mason book - no luck so far so I will probably have my hometown library order it in for me. It does stink to pay a fee, but if the library is much bigger and better, I would do it in a heartbeat. Hmmm . . . I am definitely a bookaholic!

Might be a blessing though, you never know what even better job could be around the corner!

Thank you for the words of encouragement, CJ!!!

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been absent from the thread for the past couple of days, but I am off today, so I plan on getting caught up. I was busy with work, plus I haven't been feeling well. I've just been really nauseated and have bad heartburn - still do. I just wish it would go away! Anyway, nothing else new here. Both kids are sick with colds and DS has a fever as well. Hoping they both get better soon. Well, hope all is well with everyone. I am going to start reading and jump right in!

I hope this finds everyone better!!!

I have a small favour. A good friend of mine – whom I have not seen in a couple years – from back home in the Sault has been diagnosed with cancer. He is only 29, but he is in the fight of his life. I have no doubts that he will defeat the cancer, but I know that you guys are incredible at helping with these unfortunate events. With that, I ask for any kind of assistance you can give.

Personally, I am a little shocked at the diagnosis as Joe is entering the prime of his life, especially since he has never smoked a day in his life – and he very rarely drank (he could only handle one or two beer in a night! …But cancer is a disease that can happen to anybody… I spoke with Joe last night and he is in great spirits. He has always been a strong-willed individual – overall, a great person to be around.

Please, send anything you can Joe’s way. I know he can pull through this, but your re-assurance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, friends!

Oh, Brent, I am so sorry - prayers going up now and I will keep him in my prayers! ((((HUGS))))

I'm glad everything worked out ok, track!

Ah, you have excellent timing then

That is less than half of what they are up here - I need to borrow Seawaters jet!
