Hello all! Long time, no post! I have been very busy the last week...also I have had the flu since the weekend and on doctors orders, I am off work the entire week. I guess I would be enjoying it if I could stop coughing, having headaches, and awful stomach pains. In fact, this is the best I've felt since Sunday and I still feel like h-e-double hockey sticks!! Ugh. I have missed you all though, very much so.
Wow, so where should I begin with an update? My friend Mary and I went dress shopping on Friday and were pretty successful. We went to two shops...I found two dresses at the first place that I really love and one at the second. I've linked to them here:
Dress #1:

Dress #2:

Dress #3:

I like all 3 for different reasons and it's a really hard decision, especially since there are other dresses I've tried on that I really like, too. I don't know how people make these decisions!!
My Saturday was fun, but a friend ended up getting sick that night and I think that's who I got sick from, ugh. Sunday I spent the whole day in Virginia at George Mason University, helping to install a chapter of my music fraternity in their school. It was a great experience and one I look forward to completing in December. It just sucked because I was really sick and couldn't hug anyone or really celebrate.
At least football was moderately okay for me. Penn State won their homecoming game Saturday, but my beloved Colts are now 0-6 and that just depresses me. (Oh made...*cry*) With being sick and out of the state most of Sunday, I have no idea how the Giants did, or even how my fantasy football teams did. That's how you know Debbie is sick...when she can't even keep up with football, lol!
Monday was the day I really got sick...I had half a breakdown at Kohl's and then I went home and tried to nap before going to Hallmark, and then that shift was horrible...so I went to the doctors on Tuesday and they said (in not-so-many words): STAY HOME, YOU ARE HORRIBLY CONTAGIOUS!!! lol So I have doctors notes to be off both jobs until Saturday and while I'm enjoying finally having time to rest, I just wish I would start to feel BETTER. I had a huge migraine today along with the flu symptoms but I was afraid to take Excedrin Migraine along with the codeine medication the doctor put me on...so finally about an hour ago I just took it and so far, so good!
I am starting to worry though a little about having enough money for Christmas stuff this year. DF and I have budgeted for our wedding, and with that and all the other bridal showers/baby showers/birthdays coming up, I'm sad to think that we won't have enough to spend on Christmas presents not just for each other, but for family and friends as well. I already have Christmas cards and bought the stamps for all of those, but...I just can't help but feel bad. I don't even know if I'm gonna have enough $$$ to extend my membership here when it expires in a few days, which saddens me even more. Sometimes I really hate money and wish I had money trees in my backyard to help me out! We are not poor by any means, but...ah well. I guess this is stuff I shouldn't really bring up here. Sorry Xmas fam.
I am gonna eat some more chicken soup and get some rest. I hope all of you are doing well and keeping yourselves healthy! Don't want any of you holed up in bed like me! Hugs and love to all!!!
