Good morning everyone! It's hump day again...that day always rolls around more often than even monday it seems! THis morning I noticed my last maple tree is beginning to turn it should be at peak color on halloween day! I have taken a few pics of the other ones in the front yard too. The pear trees which I think are the prettiest for some reason are different, they always change around thansgiving time Does anyone here have Bradford pear trees and when do they change if you have any?. I love fall and early winter! Today is going to be another beautiful day. high around 80F but not muggy or humid. Friday or sat it turns cooler, but still even now with warm days nights a perfect with lows around 50F. Have a great hump day everyone! I can't wait to get home from this work day!

Someone forgot to tell our tree's on our back lawn that its fall. The tree across the street has NO leaves now. Our trees are still green. But they are almost the last ones to go.

Im having some minor surgery done next Wednesday (and Im looking forward to listening to Christmas music on music choice tv channel all day while I recoop).. nothing major but it has had me a little worried, getting myself all worked up and have been throwing up , upset stomach a lot because of it! Been busy at work but hoping to be able to get back on here a few times a week again! I miss you guys and I hope you all are doing well!

I will keep you in my prayers, MsChristmas!

Hello Christmas family! It's sooo great to be caught up on the countdown! The household is pretty much back to normal again and the kiddos are almost 100%. EA now has a swollen eye, which the last time she had a viral infection, the same thing happened. At that time, the doctor had no idea why it happened, but said with some allergy medicine, with time, it would go away. It took a few days, but it did go away. This time, the same thing has happened, but she has already had it for 2 days and it hasn't improved at all. I guess I will just keep an eye on it. Otherwise, both kids are better.

I'm glad the kids are doing better - I pray this finds EA's eye is better, too!

Hello everyone.
I've had a very stressful past 24 hours. Yesterday, my mom put Sergeant's flea & tick product on my cat Louie. A few hours later, Louie had a seizure. This consisted of him shaking, twitching, drooling excessively, and being unable to walk. We had to rush him to the nearest animal hospital where we were immediately charged $600, and that was the minimum payment. We struggled to pull together the money, but we had to, for Louie. He had to spend the night there, and he had another seizure. In the morning, we were told we was in critical condition all night and we need to take him to another vet, but we don't know if we can because we will be charged another $600, and we simply cannot afford it.
This cat is like my baby, and I pray to God that he will get better.
And as a warning to you all who have pets: DO NOT USE SERGEANT'S OR HARTZ FLEA & TICK PRODUCTS.
I don't know why these products are still on the market! Reviews online say that these have caused dogs and cats to be blinded, have seizures, and even die.
So please, be careful with the products you use on your pets!

Oh, snowangel_x3, I sent prayers up to St. Francis and St. Gertrude for Louie (and you - my cats are my babies, too!) ((((HUGS))))

Good morning my dear MMC

I am so nervous .. Today or tomorrow we will know if we get the apartment or not..
Please keep you fingers crossed for us.
If the housing association says yes, we can start moving and everything iwill be ready until Christmas

I pray you get the apartment, Sabine!

Holy Frijoles, Batman !!! I am so stressed. What a night !!

Good evening, Christmas family.

I got on early today thinking I would make a little extra time and much to my suprise, there was hardly any radiology !! I don't know if this is because it was a slow day on the rad front or if I just screwed up too many times.....In any case, I had to type big ol'fat goobers all night !!! (well....I dont actually know that they were fat and that doesn't matter anyway, but they WERE DEFINITELY GOOBERS !!)

If I would have had one more ESL tonight I think my brain would have exploded (itwould be a small explosion).

Ey Yi YI.....I wrote to one of the folks in charge and asked what's up with the rad disappearing......Don't know if she is going to like my questioning but I felt I had to ask.....

Snowangel - Praying for your baby,Louie

Ms. Christmas - Praying that all goes well with your surgery

Christmasstar - I am sure whatever you decide regarding driving truck will be the right thing !! ((HUGS))

I hope all have a Christmassy evening xo

I'm sorry you had such a bad day at work, CM3 - I hope the rest of the week is better! ((((HUGS)))) for you and your fur babies!

Another sign of Christmas...my Mom got some of her decorations out. I'm sorry, this is my home now, but there is no place like Mom's for Christmas...just has that special feeling....know what I mean?

I know exactly what you mean, coach. Although I have a home of my own and live nine hours away from my mom/family, there is nothing better than returning to see her decorations. So excited for it. Less than two months to go!

Good Morning!

Well well well. It's Pinesday again! Carl was singing Jingle Bells as I walked in and he had a Halloween costume on. He is dressed up as Santa. Go figure. HAH. And it looks like they are playing "Its the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" today at the Pines too! "I got a rock". hah.....
Yes, indeed. Carl said he was going to go all out for this last open house before Halloween.
There are seasonal decorations everywhere.
Jack-'o-lanterns -- lots of jack-'o-lanterns!
(And a rumor is floating as to what he did with the insides. Something about a blend. Gad!

And with that spooky thought, on to the Count.
(And I don't mean Dracula):
Days to Halloween: 5 (ZOUNDS!)
Days to the Season: 18 (Wow! Barely over 2 1/2 weeks away!)
Days to Christmas Day: 60 (UNDER 2 months, now!)

Nippy at 50 degrees as I walked this morning.
Mid-70's predicted for today and tomorrow before we crash to more seasonal temps by Friday, where our overnight lows are supposed to be in the 30's.
THAT will be a change!

OK. Friends.
Have a Vivacious Visit to the 'Pines today, if you are a mind to go.
And have a Wonderful Wednesday while you're there!
(Right, Holiday?)

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Chilly, gray, and rainy ... tomorrow night it may change to wet snowflakes. Heads up, xmas365, there may be a little wet snow coming to your neighborhood!

CM3, I hope the rads soon come back and the goobers will go away. Hang in there!

Is it too early to catch the Christmas bug? I think I need to back down just a little....I dunno though....

Nah! It's open season very soon. My MP3 player is loaded and standing by. I'm picking a corner in the TV room for our No. 2 Christmas tree. (No. 1 is in the front window of the house.) I'm writing newsy notes for my cards and checking my shopping list twice. Before Thanksgiving I'll probably start wrapping gifts that are to be mailed out.

Good morning my dear MMC

I hope you get it ... think positive!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!! It's going to be a wet day here in central Indy and the temps are supposed to fall throughout the day. It also looks like they have changed the forecasted low overnight to 40 degrees. So we probably won't see any snow. My plan for today is to start packing up some of the decorations around my apartment. That way it will be easier to give everything a good scrubbing next week before I put up my christmas decorations. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

The season starts on November 13th. Here is Crown's explanation from the first post of the countdown.
Interesting. Thanks!

Trick-or-treating is Thursday here and we're taking the kids out. EA is excited, even though she doesn't fully understand. It will be a fun time.
How's that? Trick-or-treating is on Oct 27?

I'm really sorry to hear about your cat. I completely understand about him being your baby. I have been like that about one cat in my life and I miss him every day. Sorry about the vet bills too. Thanks for letting us know to avoid those products.

Stressful day at work, I had to train with my store manager today, I have known her for years, but I have always felt she has never really liked me much. It worked out well, I learned a lot but I still don't feel comfortable around her.
That's exactly how I am about one of my sort of supervisors at work. I know she doesn't REALLY care for me but would never say it. We've worked together for like 6 years now too. Thing is, I don't really like her much either. I'm not mean to her or anything, I just don't particularly care for her.

Good Morning Christmas Pals,

Beautiful day here in NJ. I can feel the holiday chill in the air. With only 59 days til Christmas, I feel the need to start decorating and celebrating. Over the last few weeks, hubby and I have been discussing outside decorations. We usually trim the house roofline and eaves with icicle lights. Well hubby asked if I would be disappointed if the house didnt get the lights this year and we just decorated the lawn. Well I felt completely deflated inside. I couldnt bear the thought. But I knew what the problem was. He was having a hard time getting in touch with a friend of ours that hangs the outside lights for us. Well, Sunday evening he got a call from our friend. He had been away on a construction job and lost his cell phone. He said he knew it was PAST time he usually put our lights up and wondered if we still needed him. Well hubby and I were both relieved that he was fine and well. Because we were worried after not being able to touch base with him. Of course we were also happy that he wanted to come and put up our lights. So it looks like my house lights go up in the next week or so. Whichever day he chooses will be PERFECTLY fine for us. So my holiday planning is well underway. I hope I wasn't rambling too much. But it feels good to come here and share life experiences among my Christmas Pals. I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL day!!!

Carl looks to be in a fine form today. And, Binger had three cups of coffee before 6 AM? It must be some magical blend!

The season is here in just over 2 weeks, go with it! I want to put my tree up and decorate the whole house right now myself, but it is a bit early still for my wife. I will start decorating around Nov. 10.

I saw that on the news last night, mostly to the north and west of us, but my town is on a mountain and we usually do get it a little earlier than most in the Springfield/Pioneer Valley area. I hope I see the white stuff flying. cheesy

Good morning,

It is a raw, rainy day here, but I have the beef stew cooking for dinner, a good, warm, stick to your ribs type dinner. Just sitting here listening to Christmas music, thinking about the upcoming season, and how excited I am for it. We or I should say my wife volunteered us to host Christmas Eve this year, we usually get it every other year, but with the issues with my in-laws health, it sort of fell to us. My wife says she will do most of it, since I will be recovering from surgery, I hate not being of much help, and I will probably end up helping more than I should.

Enjoy the day!

Good morning, everyone!

It’s Wednesday. Hump Day. Shispering Pines Day. October 26th. Less than two months until Christmas Day! These days and weeks are flying by! The weather here feels like late October. Mostly cloudy with temperatures at 5C (41F) – yes, these temperatures are flirting with the possibility of snow. In fact, the forecast says that we could be in for snow/rain showers as early as Sunday. At least, I hope it holds off until Sunday as my dad is coming up on Saturday!

Not a whole lot new today. I actually have time to post a little from work. The cheques have been processed and we are a bit ahead of the game. Hooray! I have not yet experienced anything Christmas on TV. Although I have seen a few signs in real life, TV seems to not want me to see any Christmas commercials. Kim and I also had our own Christmas movie experience last night. We were contemplating whether to watch The Grinch (Jim Carrey version) as we were quoting it a few times last night. Anyway, we refrained from doing so. We wanted to wait at least another week until the Christmas movies begin their traditional rotation!

We’re nearly an hour away from lunch! Afterwards, the workweek will be downhill as we head towards the weekend, where we can all enjoy Halloween parties and prepare for the ghostly horrors that will be had on Monday! Unfortunately, I do not think that I will be partaking in any Halloween parties – with my dad coming up and all… Oh, and I do not have a costume, either.

Have a great Wednesday, everyone!!

I agree! It's never too early to catch the Christmas Spirit!! I'd love to start now, too. I can't wait to test the lights. I guess that we just can't go too overboard until the Season begins... In moderation, it should be acceptable to everyone! :)

lunchtime is here...same ole same ole for me..Turkey sandwich and an apple. I hope the afternoon passes as fast as the morning has. I am seeing more and more Christmas commercials on the tv. I imagine they will really start up full force after monday. I don't know what we are doing for dinner tonight. I ate chicken and rice yesterday and I do not want to see chicken any time soon! Have a good day,and to all that are talking about seeing a few snowflakes soon...I am jealous.:)
