Hi every one! just to let you know I am studying! My subject is the very interesting subject of terrorism, which makes me feel like i am actually doing something useful!

A very merry day to all of you!

Good morning, everyone!

Happy Friday! Yep. Friday! We have made in through another work week! More importantly, we are now a week closer to Chrsitmas - oh - and there is only one more work week until we reach the Christmas Season! After all, we are in single digits. Nine days looks very good!

To be honest, I have not been very busy this morning. I have had a bit of work, but minimal. Hopefully something will come in this afternoon.

I booked my flight home for Christmas yesterday evening. For the first time ever, I will be flying home for the Holidays. Since I am not making much money, my mom offered to fly me home. I accepted the offer. The good part is that Porter Airlines has a 50 percent off sale on all bookings (it ends today)! This allowed my flight to be about $250 ($375 AFTER TAXES). Much better than the $800 airlines usually charge on flights to the Sault. Rather than the 12 hour bus ride, I only have to endure a three to four hour trip - about 2 1/2 hours in the air. Much of the time will be spent on the ground and transferring flights in Toronto! I am excited. Most of all, I am hoping for no delays!

It's a bright and sunny early November day in Ottawa. Temperatures were about 1C (34F) when I awoke. Now, we're at 2C (-2C with windchill, however). Highs of 6C today. We should be above seasonal for the next week or so, then maybe the snow will come as soon as the Christmas Season begins! We'll see!

Anyway, I should get to some work. Perhaps I will check in after and see how everyone else is doing. Have a fantastic Friday, everyone! The weekend is nearly here!

Bradmac and everyone, Yes, I am still here although it is difficult to see. My eye surgery went well, but I have to put antiseptic cream on and in my eyes. I still have to have ice (eyece???) packs, but the swelling is not too bad. If the surgery had been done on Monday, I would not have needed a mask!!! My rotator cuff surgery is getting better, but it is taking me long to bounce back, having NOTHING to do with age!!! I will be happy to get back full time and visit with everyone!
It's good to hear from you! I'm glad you're improving. Don't forget us while you recooperate!

Hello all my Christmas friends!!!
I am listening to music choice Bing is doing a wonerdul version of O Holy Night.
What?!?! Binger is singing?!?

Oh, Bing Crosby! cheesy

Wow!!! I just realized that I passed 30,000 posts today. I'm going to celeberate by heading to bed but first here's your QVC schedule for tomorrow.
Wow is right!! I'll never catch you now!

I think I will come down with the flu. I have a sore throat since yesterday evening and now I'm also hurting at my back and neck and have a bad headache. No suprise really as half of my coworkers just recently were sick or are still on sick leave.

I hope you feel better soon!!!!!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!! It is going to be a nice day here in central Indy with a high in mid 60's. My plan for today is to keep working on the kitchen. I kind of bounced around yesterday and never finished cleaning it. I'm also waiting to hear from my sister in Seattle. My niece had another infusion yesterday and did quite well. No diziness like last time. This morning she woke up covered in a rash again though. So my sister is trying to get her in to the allergist. It's weird though. She had the rash the first time and they said it was a reaction to the steroid. So the second time they didn't give her the steroid and no rash just dizzy. This time they didn't give her the steroid and she broke out in the rash again. Just doesn't make any sense. Well I'm off to clean. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today is zipping by fast! I have had to take care of many calls this morning so that has helped. It actually feel like thanksgiving and Christmas today..the warm humid air has moved out and it's dry, partly cloudy/sunny windy and temp at 50F. so when I was listening to the Christmas music this morning it did not feel wierd! I bet many of you up north and especially Canada think 50F is hot.lol but for what I am use to as long as the temps stay under 60F I can get in the Christmas mood. I have been spoiled the last 2 winters have been cold for us...last year we had an ice storm then in 2010 we actually had snow! this year is already so much different. The north will still be cold especially the great lakes and New England. At least according to the NWS long range forecast.

Gabulldawg, I know what you mean by the chilly temps. We got down to near freezing this morning and right now around 40. It is downright cold in my house right now but I still have not turned on my heater. I just bundled up and enjoying the chill! It's probably mild to those up north but feels so cold for us here! I love it!!!!

Crown, I will take day 2!

I have been so busy that I am sure you already explained what to do on special post but could you refresh me on what I need to do on that day? :!!

I'm sure I can see what others will be doing and come up with something. =)
You got it, my friend.

OK! Our list is complete:
Day 5 before the Season (Nov 8) = Christmasstar
Day 4 before the Season (Nov 9) = Binger
Day 3 before the Season (Nov 10) = Lauriebear
Day 2 before the Season (Nov 11) = Christmas-A-Holic
Day 1 before the Season (Nov 12) = Seawaters

Thanks, Guys!

Basically, this is a free-form post. A short essay that involves Christmas or the Christmas Season.
It could cover what it means to you, unusual celebrations in your family, funny stories, interesting Christmas history information that might not be generally well-known. Just let your imagination run wild.
No rules other that it being about things Christmas.

For ideas, you could look at previous years' posts as we have been doing this for some time now.

It's something we look forward to every year and it really helps launch the Christmas Season for us!

I can't believe it's only 50days until the big day, I remember writing on this thread when it was 100 days and that doesn't seem that long ago at all!
I should really start with some proper christmas shopping but I just don't have the money this year :(

Good Friday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

My hectic week is easing off a little. Bernie said he'd work my shift at the store tomorrow so he could be off next weekend to go bird hunting. That give me all day tomorrow to catch up. I might even be able to take my son hunting tomorrow evening.

That tree camera has me in the hunting mood! I don't actually deer hunt anymore myself, but my son loves it, so I take him. I plan to carry the camcorder. It'll be like those hunting shows where the guys are whispering through the whole show. LOL!

Anyway, I gotta get back to work. I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Thanks! I was on the Countdown all last year but I just didn't remember what the special post involved. Wow! That means we chat so much on here I just can't keep up! I will take a look at last years and I am sure I have something to share. =)

Hi All!

It's A LOT cooler outside and I'm loving it! The hot dog sale is going well and I finished my shift (11-12). I'm looking forward to this weekend's Hallmark Channel "Open House" of Christmas movies! :transform:

If only you were able to broadcast that live while it happened. I'd watch it!

@shellie-well look at it this way-you get snow and I get the Hallmark channel...I wish I had snow so bad..and it only gets worse when we get deep into winter,as everyone here knows I have been known to drive 5 hours to get in on the action of some snowfall.

I meant to just eat my turkey sandwich but ended up going to Publix and getting a salad with tons of olives and creamy ceasar dressing. Now I am dragging into the last hour and 15 minutes of work. When did I get old I keep asking myself..Now I cant even eat a meal during the day without getting sleepy. anyhow friday is churning on it will soon be quitting time! I hope everyone has a great afternoon!

Good afternoon all,

It's quite cool here in Houston today, which is nice. Been listening to Christmas music all day while I work, hard to believe Thanksgiving and Christmas are so close.... my favorite time of year!
