Christmas Countdown - 2011

It was warm here today. BLAH!!!
Well cards are all done, just waiting on my shipping $$$ to get here. I also prepped several packages for family members.

I guess that I will be doing lots of work here the next few weeks to get ready for Christmas. Boy am I behind this year but I have a great excuse. We are filling out paperwork for adoption. That in and of itself is harder than I thought BUT it is going to be worth it once the first of the year gets here and we have a youngster in the house (well not young young, more like a TEENAGER!!!) But we got it all handled I think.

So what does everyone have planned for next week- as in American Thanksgiving? I am trying to find the thanksgiving movie for Charlie Brown. I am also breaking out my Christmas cd's and movies. DH is ready now but I keep telling him to wait. Imagine that- ME telling him he has to wait. I just think he wants cookies because he knows when all the goodies go up he will be getting goodies in his tummy.

I went and bought another 1000 christmas cards today and a bunch of stickers. I think I will be good to go for a few more years- HAHAHA yea right. LOL

I gave in and went to the doctor this morning. I have a sinus infection and a cold. He gave me a shot of big-time tylenol for the sinus headache that was blasting throughout my head, so finally that quit hurting. He also gave me some prescriptions for the cough and the rest of my ailments. At least I can talk a little better now! I hope all of you who are feeling under the weather perk up soon. It is the pits to not feel well, especially at this joyous time of the year. Hubby is fixing his spaghetti tonight for dinner with fresh Italian sausage. I told him to spice it up a little to open my sinuses. I have to go into school for after-school intervention. I teach a small group for an hour Monday through Thursday. Talk to y'all later.

I hope you feel better soon!!!!!

Lauriebear, my son is highly allergic to poison ivy. He has had it so bad that we ended up in the ER with him because he got it over the Memorial Day weekend and he couldn't wait until the doctors office opened. He was covered from head to toe with it and his whole face swelled up. Not fun stuff to deal with. Both times he got it is when we had him do some yard work. We just keep him from that job for now and he actually didn't mind doing it!

I hope you clear up from that mess real soon!

That's about what we got here! The good thing about November here where I live, it seems that we get warm one week and the next week is chilly. I hope that means Thanksgiving week will be chilly!!!

I have the same problem...just as bad when I was a kid. I now know what it looks like and am very careful to avoid it.

So the Pizza Hut delivery lady shows up 10 minutes after I talked to Pizza Hut and said that she was out with my delivery already and it takes only about 5 minutes to get to my house from Pizza Hut, I pay her and she leaves. I open the box and it hardly looks done. My sister and I bit into the pizza and you could taste how chewy the dough was. We're probably going to get sick now, great! :sad:

Be sure to complain to the store, or to someone higher up the chain. That is not right, you should be compensated for less than adequate food.
