Christmas Countdown - 2011

Hi all! I hope you all had a nice Thanksgivin! Sorry I never checked in yesterday, but I was very tired from working and I had been up almost 24 hours. Just cleaning and decorating for Christmas now. Can't believe it's only a month away! I will check back in later. Hope you're all having a great day!

Hoping to get ahead on some wrapping and packages and cards today ... got held up because I ran into FTP trouble while trying to update Gloria's website, and had to get on live chat with my provider to straighten it out. No shopping for us today! (At least, not out among the crowds.) Maybe some more movies tonight after the leftovers!

Good afternoon,

Black Friday is over for me, I hate Black Friday, get up extra early to hear people complain that the item that we have is not what they want. WAHHHH! Enough of my BF rant. My Thanksgiving was good, the food was extra tasty,and I had to be rolled down the hallway. I will make our own meal tomorrow. I have been awake for nearly 12 hours, and now it is time for me to set up our tree.

Good morning, Christmas friends. Hubby made pumpkin eggnog waffles for breakfast today. Now he is out on the roof fixing a leak in our storeroom. It is overcast here, but hopefully it won't rain until he has finished. No shopping for me today, just cleaning off the kitchen table to get ready for our turkey dinner on Sunday. I voted in the gobble contest, but now I can't vote any more. I thought we could only do it one at a time, and I was just going to vote for everyone; but now I can't get to the poll, only the results. Don't forget to vote!!! The gobbles were hilarious! got my outside decorations up, only to discover that the plug is not working. Also wanted to take a picture for you all but cannot find my camera. The tree is up, and the cat is in the top of it already

It is 13c ( 56f) outside, warm and sunny, just a beautiful day. Only problem is we should have at least a foot of snow, not listening to lawn mowers in the distance!

There, done my whine for the day!! back to work.

Our tree went up on Tuesday. Still working on rest of deco. I am just in a blah and lazy mood this year. NOTHING is working yet and I am feeling sadfunky. AHH well I think once I get everything up and things in order I may just feel better.
Had a good Turkeyday but am glad it won't be around for another year because there was so much to take in yesterday. A new addition to my hubby's family turned a week old yesterday. A bouncing baby boy. I saw loads of pics and he is a doll. I am still waiting to hear back from Adoption Services about the kiddo(s). Hopefully we will hear something really soon. I know we won't have them until after January but it still would be nice to hear something but ehhh it will happen, I can not rush it.
My cards and hopefully packages will go out this coming Wednesday. I am so behind this year which could account for the funk I am in.
We are NOT braving Black Friday and though there are good deals it is not worth it IMO. There was an incident here at 2 am this morning at our local mall. Two men were shooting in the parking lot then proceeded to run into the mall and start shooting- thank goodness no one was hurt but it makes me wonder what this world is coming to. I hope they catch them.
Hope everyone has a good day. I am gunna go finish cleaning and putting up more deco. Outside stuff goes up Monday when hubby has off. Would have done it today but he has to work 4 hours over and needs his sleep or he is a grumpy bear.:nice:

Just got home from one of our friends kids birthday's party and now I've got to do some more cleaning. Hopefully by the end of the evening, I'll be able to start decorating! Hope you're all having a great evening. Happy one month till Christmas - to each and everyone of you! :yahoo:
