Funny!!! The guy is here right now repairing the heater and probably wondering why I am laughing out loud. All he knows is that I am in here watching A Christmas Carol and he is being visited by the last spirit! What is so funny about that scene? Ha ha!

Wow, it is soooooooo cold. It's 30 on it's way to an overnight low of 21.

I know this may sound crazy, but I love it.

Kim and I had a wonderful evening! We went to Wal-Mart, where I purchased new Christmas bulbs and a a pine scented candle. It smells like a Christmas Tree! My only regret is that we didn't purchase any Christmas decorations for the apartment. Aside from the tree and Christmas monkey (not pictures), we don't really have much... But it's OK!

Right now, we're sitting on the couch beside the tree and watching Home Alone. Great night!

I posted photos of the Christmas Tree when it was lightly decorated... Here it is now since we've added the new bulbs!

Hello all!

Just checking in real quick before going to take a nap since I work Hallmark tonight as well. We are expecting 2-4" of snow tonight, which I'm worried about since I have to work at 5am at Kohl's in the morning and I was unable to get my tires and brakes fixed before now (the appt is next Thursday). I can't really call in either because I'm the opening cash office person and that HAS to be done and I"m like, the only person who can do it who's working tomorrow. Of COURSE, lol! We shall see...maybe it will just stay rainy and I will luck out this time.

Things have been very busy here. I think a few of you have mentioned that you'd like Christmas to slow down...well ME TOO! I haven't even made out my cards yet so I'm very behind and I can't seem to catch up on laundry and cleaning and I get very frustrated. I'm really thinking about giving up my Hallmark job after Christmas is over, just because I feel like I never have any time anymore. It was going well when I worked every other week, so perhaps I will go back to that. Who knows.

Anywho, off to get a nap, then perhaps I will show my face for a few at the Pines before heading to Hallmark.

Is it December or January? At work it was so slow tonight, January slow, the registers are usually backed up with shoppers but they were all empty tonight. The season is not normal, we are usually going 110mph at work this time of year, tonight was more like 35mph. Very strange.
I am sleepy, so I will be heading to catch some zzzz.

xmas365- agreed.. and I have ntoiced that the stores have not stocked the holiday merchandise ( expcet for Garden Ridge) like they normally do- I think the economy has people nervous and the stores are showing.. in shopping and in stocking

The weather over here is terrible. thereis gale force winds the med office has give out a red warning as they say it can be as bad as 100 mile a hour
I have had to go and unlossen some of the air blown as they are being lifted of the ground with the wind and a lot of other stuff has blown over am not gonna try and sort it to after the wind settles.
Just waiting on a pallet to come in a toy one . think this is the last one. unless i get some cheap lol
Kettle is boiled so a cuppa is called for. so will catch you all later

1.) This has been a ridiculously slow week. I don't know if that's good or bad.


2.) My tummy is feeling better so I have no flippin' clue what happened yesterday afternoon. All I know is that I don't want it to happen again while I'm at work! :sad:

We are still without heat. The repair guy came by last night and could not getting working. He has to replace a part that he just bought for it because it's not functioning properly. I feel bad for this guy because he has been out here every night and gets it working but then it goes out after he leaves.

I am coming down with that cold that the family has passed around for a month. I thought I dodged it but woke up with a sore throat. Ugh! It don't matter because I have Christmas to cheer me up! =)

I have been so busy! I have managed to pop in on here and read a few things but just cannot catch up on the countdown. Hopefully I can today but I have a lot to do!

Good Morning friends! I hope all is well with everyone today. Does anyone else have a problem with their cat ripping apart their Christmas tree? I caught him sitting in it like a bird looking out the front window. It was kind of funny but it also upsets me that he keeps mashing down the tree limbs and knocking off the ornaments. Good Morning friends! I hope all is well with everyone today. Does anyone else have a problem with their cat ripping apart their Christmas tree? I caught him sitting in it like a bird looking out the front window. It was kind of funny but it also upsets me that he keeps mashing down the tree limbs and knocking off the ornaments. On my profile I have pictures of my cat in the tree a few years ago. The tree looked terrible that year, as you can tell in the pictures I posted, but I actually thought it was funny to watch him climb up in it and take a nap. I just kept a lot of ornaments off it that year.

It will be an impossible fight to keep your cat off the tree. Just have to have a sense of humor about it. Cats are funny creatures! =)

Your cat will mature and find the tree boring by next year or the year after. Both of my cats don't pay any attention to it now. They just sleep under it.

I did find a way to hold the ornaments on your tree. Get twist ties and tie them very tightly to the tree and more inward on the limbs. Be sure to secure the twist ties on the ornament itself and on the limb. I actually saw this on a Disney World special on the outdoor trees they decorate. Makes sense to do it that way since they are displayed outdoors to secure them. The only way those ornaments are coming off is if your cat knocks the whole tree down.

It's good to know that my cat isn't unusual with his love of the tree. I think maybe he's just watching and waiting for Santa to come since we talk about it so much. cheesy
