my cat loves the tree too...she has not been in it so much since decorating, I think that may be because we set it up undecorated for several days and let her have her fun then. She was in it constantly , but I have not seen her in it the last couple of days.

We have crested the summit of the work week and have begun our coast down to the Weekend.
(And goodness knows, there aren't many left for this year!)

Winter weather has returned.
From a high of 70 yesterday, we have plunged down to 39 this morning.
At least the rain (hard at times) yesterday evening has subsided and a clear, sunny day is predicted.

Well, warm or cold, it's a great day to have a Thrilling Thursday, Folks.
Especially if the spirit is in you.
(The Christmas Spirit, that is!)

supposed to be going to Niagara Falls NY today, but cannot get ahold of the person I am to accompany, so no longer sure if we are going.
It is a lovely sunny day here at -3c. Just got off the phone, so looks like I am going!

16days!! How quick has this year been! Im no where near ready now, I thought I was on track but the season has come round so fast, still got a couple more presents to buy, not even thought about getting the decs out yet, hopefully this weekend we'll be able to start putting them up and continue throughout the week
 
Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!! It is a cold but sunny day here in central Indy. I have some errands to run this morning and then it will be back home to hopefully start on my candy making. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Good morning everyone. Compared to the weather we had lately it is down right cold today, it was only 36 degrees when I left today!!! It will be a high of 45 they are saying now. Burrr...

I finally got to watch a movie I had recorded from Hallmark, Christmas Wish, OMG a teary one for me!!! But, I really enjoyed it, I like that actress too, Kristy Swansen (sp ???).

Has anyone made any of the recipes from the MMC Cookbook?

I am doing some major baking this weekend, I cannot wait!!!

That is so weird how different areas are. Here you can't get a parking space still I feel like it is Black Friday every single weekend. Even at our local Grocery store!!! Like last weekend when I went to our BJ's (it is like a Costco) and well I am not one to park close to the store to begin with but no joke I had to still look and I parked behind the store it was SO packed!!! Our Target, I went to get a copy of the movie the Hangover II, I had to go to the Best Buy down the road, Target sold out and I don't want to tell you about those parking lots on a Tuesday, insane!!! When we went to eat out on Friday night, the wait was 1 hour and 20 minutes, but it just isn't my town, it is all over here, I even see it in the City, way busier then the last few years. My friend who owns a local coffee shop has told me he cannot believe how everything is picking up, he said at the local merchant meeting they had the Monday after Thanksgiving everyone was up and still going strong.

I will hope so of these good vibes are sent to both of your areas and it picks up... I have to admit my Hubby doesn't like the crowds but I sure do :)
 
My sister and I noticed an alarming trend in our area this year. Almost half of the radio stations that played Christmas music last year are not playing it this year. Sadly, this includes both of the Christian stations in our area. Wow. If you can't have Christmas music on a Christian station, where CAN you have it? We both wrote to the stations involved, and requested Christmas music, but none has appeared. We can't figure out why-maybe it costs them extra?

Life is very busy at my work place these days. And beside work I have lots of other appointments as the year closes in. Unfortunately I do not have much time for this fabulous board these days.

Good Morning!!!! At least no rain today but it is very windy. When the cold front came through last it brought the wind with it. Hubby and I were outside at 10 pm in the rain and wind trying to restake some of the decroations and reattching the garland and lights to the deck. This morning we were able to survey everything. Thankfully nothing looks damaged. Just need to restake one of the inflatables, redo the lights on one of the bushes, and readjust the garland and candy canes.

Sorry gang but I still have not gotten all my Christmas cards done yet. I plan on working on them some more tonight as I would like to get them out in the mail by this weekend.

I've noticed that the stations around our area aren't playing Christmas music as much as they did last year either. I just listen to Pandora or my I-pod instead, but it is weird. The Christmas playlist at most stations around here is, well, limited. They seem to play the same songs over and over again. Maybe instead of variety they just decided not to play Christmas music as much?
