Have you ever heard of My Twinn? I bought one for my granddaughter, added a wheel chair since Lily has to be in a wheelchair most of the day, and bought the same outfit for both Lily and the doll. Very special.

We have an American Girl Doll store here. We went to the mall the other day with my grandchildren and wanted to take my 2 year old granddaughter there just to look around and see what she thinks but we ran out of time and never went in there. She is a little young to take care of a doll like that right now. I have looked online and just not sure I can afford that for her right now but maybe someday! They are pretty dolls! =)

Merrymistletoe, Judesmama and nmc42088 good to see you!

I forgot to add they have a catalog.

All this talk of food is making me hungry, too! And I just ate breakfast!! Do any of you guys have an In & Out Burger? Soooo good!!! That's one of our favs. We also love Fatburger & Cafe Rio for Mexican. Otherwise, we're pretty old school- I love A & W, Burger King, and Dairy Queen =)

We loooooooooove In & Out!!!! That's almost the only fast food restaurant we eat at! We like Weinerschnitzel once in a while too....their chili dogs are yummy! I didn't know there were Dairy Queens in Las Vegas; I think I'll try to find one next time we're there!

One has only to be faster than security.

I have seen those. What a great idea that you did that for your granddaughter!

Good morning, Christmas family. It is foggy and chilly here in northern California. I have to be out and about later on, so thank goodness I live in a small town and don't have to drive far!!! Hubby is in the kitchen getting breakfast cooked: hash browns, bacon, eggs, and biscuits with honey. I have plans to go over to my classroom and get ready for school on Tuesday, my first day back since October 20. Too bad it was recuperating time and not fun time!!! After I do that, I am planning on getting started on food for tomorrow evening and Sunday. I am going to make Made's mac salad, mashed potatoes, spiral-cut ham with a rum-raisin sauce, homemade rolls, deviled eggs, Cranberry-Orange Dream (a yummy-looking Jello dish), Stained-Glass Fudge, Fudgie-Scotch Ring, and Toblerone Cookies (posted on the Countdown before Christmas), and anything else that strikes my fancy. Have a great day, everyone!!!

Going over to your classroom sounds fun! I graduated with a teaching degree in May. No job yet :( but i have gotten some teacher friendly gifts, like the fraction pizza party game from barnes and noble and some sight word flash cards so hopefully i get a classroom soon

I opened it, but havent played it yet. Glad I hadnt bought it because I had been eyeing it up every time i went in B&N. I hope you can get a lot done in your classroom today :)

Morning everyone!

I can't believe this year is almost over. Time really flies!

Staying in today - my mom and brother are both off from work. I think we are going to have a lazy day playing Wii, board games, and watching movies. Last night we stumbled on our Disney's Haunted Mansion Clue board game. It was a lot of fun to play! Instead of weapons there are ghosts that "haunt" a certain Disney character.

I was going to recommend it to buy if anyone has kids...but I just Googled it and apparently it sells for 160-190 dollars :? Makes no sense to me...I bought a copy a couple of years ago for 20 dollars!

I think I'm going to go do some laundry and relax. Have a nice afternoon!

Quiet day here as well...recuperating from some sort of bug that comes with sore throat, aches and pains-ick. I'm watching my Christmas movies that I couldn't find time for before Christmas and allowing myself cookies, etc. In other words, I'm pampering myself and wallowing in my misery by the glow of the tree!

I hope you get well real soon!

Thanks CM3!!! Her steroid injections went well. She didn't have any kind of reaction and it seems to have helped the pain a little.

Glad to hear the injections went well, Made. I will keep her & your family in my prayers.

OMG!!! You have A&W's in Las Vegas!!! I didn't know that!?!?! You are SOOOOOOOO lucky all of ours closed up!!! I like the name Fatburger it sounds YUMMY!!![/QUOTE]

Yes, we got them in town @ 5 years ago! Only a few, and they are side by side with Long John Silver's...strange, but so. So happy @ it, too! We had them back in the midwest, and they were a favorite of ours. My parents used to take us to the drive-up on a hot summer's evening, in our pajamas, get a root beer float, and listen to the Brewer's game on the radio. It was the best!!
And Fatburger is so yummy! They have the dumbest commercials, though... Their slogan is "I want a man with a Fatburger in his hand!" Cheesy...!

Hello, everyone! The year is getting short!

Haven't heard anything about the office closing early today, but I have hopes. Cross your fingers. We're going out to eat with some friends tonight and will give them their Christmas gifts. (We usually get together with them after Christmas.) Then a three-day weekend---yay!

Went to the supermarket last night for Chex Mix fixin's (homemade Chex Mix is a must for our New Year's Eve movie marathon), and there were big displays of various brands of Christmas tea on sale. I couldn't find Christmas tea earlier in the season---the shipments must have come late.

I got a nice wrist watch for Christmas, but had to take it to Macy's last night because I discovered that the security device was still attached. Had to go to two departments to get it detached, because the watch department doesn't have the tool that opens the device ... huh? Had to take it over to handbags. Thank goodness I had a gift receipt. Can you imagine? "Hi, this is a gift, but I need the security tag removed ..." "Nice try, lady."

Fingers are crossed for you! Enjoy the dinner w/ your friends, and have a great 3 day weekend :)

In & Out is awesome!! And they just opened one a mile away from our house! We used to have to drive near the Strip, and that was a pain.
Same with Dairy Queen, they opened one a few miles away. I was stoked about that- more blizzards for Stacey cheesy

Have you guys ever tried Orange Julius? They put one of those next to the new Dairy Queen. I love those!! I used to go there every once in awhile when I worked at the mall back in Wisconsin.

Sorry to hear you are under the weather... But what a nice way to get your rest, sounds just like what a DR would order!!!

Thank you- appreciate the kindness here at MMC!

Last day of work for the year! It's been pretty busy here, a lot of people are catching a nasty cold. Momnan, I hope you feel better soon. The rest of you, be careful and wash your hands! (That's the health care worker in me talking)

I'm feeling restless today, and since I get off work at 2:00, I'm thinking of going to Savage Mill. It's sort of an Artisan/Antique Mall in Savage, MD. They have all sorts of antique and vintage ornaments for sale around Christmas, and I just haven't had time to go this year. I love to see the old ornaments. They've been around so long, and have seen so many Christmases. I bet they could tell some stories if they could talk!

I'm looking forward to tomorrow, too. My Mom and I are going over to my sister's house to eat and wait for the New Year to roll in. Her step-daughter is still there-she's going home on the 1st. Ah, what a difference there is between December and January! I'm hanging on to December as long as I can!

@MerryBells- thank you, friend for kind words. I am a little jealous of your trip to see vintage Christmas mementos...I agree that it is fascinating to think of where they've been over the years! Enjoy!
