Lost a good friend this morning.....he was like a father figure to me. It's good, everyone has been preparing themselves for this. Hate to sound ugly, almost a relief because of the fight that he was enduring.

Here's to hoping that his quality life of being a sound person, great husband, and awesome father will allow him to encounter an eternity of peace.

I am sorry for your loss.

I haven't felt too well in the past couple of days. Wayne and I might decide on a quiet New Years Eve instead of having a lot of company. Not like we go wild or anything anyway! I was thinking of having my parents, uncle and cousins come by early for some games but just not sure I am up to it.

I do plan to have my 3 grandchildren come over for their annual "Ring in the New Year" which is about 6:30-7:00 pm with a countdown, throw streamers and drink sparkling juice out of plastic champagne glasses. We do this early because they will be home early and in bed. I will probably be in bed early too!

No matter how I feel I will enjoy my evening!!! =)

Hope you feel better, the smaller, quiet New Year's is what we do every year. Christmas is our biggest party that we attend or hold.

I know what you mean! I have hundreds of Christmas movies and shows on vhs and dvd and still don't want it to end on tv! It is different! You feel like you are watching these shows with the world instead of by yourself when they play it on tv. =)

EXACTLY!!! That's the way I feel, I really don't watch Hallmark, the movies are a little to sugary sweet for my liking, but I feel comfort that they are still on. I hate how the rest of the world rushes to put Christmas to bed. That's why I have that idea of a year round Holiday movie cable channel. cheesy

Bummer about the weather, shellie. It's just been so strange all over the world. We have beautiful weather (60's & sunny) here, I think I'm the only one here who isn't appreciating it. I'd rather have winter weather, four seasons, etc.! Wish you could've gotten your snow @ Christmas.
Have fun with your friends on NYE Happy Friday, friend!!

Good afternoon, MMC! I hope everyone has been having a great day! Nothing new here. Just actually got up. I ended up getting about 5 1/2 hours or so of sleep between waking up and tossing and turning, then I read for a little while before going to sleep.

Anyway, I thought I would get caught up on the countdown before DH gets home. Him, the kids, and I are going to go to a restaurant in a town real close to us for New Years Eve, since we're both working tomorrow night - Made: you've probably heard of it before: The Dream - it's in Hollidaysburg. It's a family restaurant and the food is so good.

Well, nothing new here to report. I am going to read over the posts here for today. Hope you all have a great rest of your afternoon/evening! Xoxo! :)

On the Sixth Day of Christmas...

Good afternoon,

We got back from taking the boys to the Dr's office they both have ear infections. LC woke up in the middle of the night screaming because of it. I am finally starting to feel better, a lot less pain today, but I am sure tonight it will come back. The boys are watching Rudolph and the Island of Misfit Toys right now, I don't like it too much but kids love Rudolph. I really start to think and wish at this time of year, my Christmas store was already open, so I can engulf myself in Christmas year round, I am dreading going back to the real world, and real job next week.

Have a great day!

:sparkle:

Hope you feel better, the smaller, quiet New Year's is what we do every year. Christmas is our biggest party that we attend or hold.
Our biggest is Thanksgiving and Christmas. We rarely have much going on for New Years so it won't be too big of deal if we don't have a lot of company.
That's why I have that idea of a year round Holiday movie cable channel. cheesy
I have thought about that too or at least show a marathon of Christmas movies in July. They have done that sometimes but I haven't seen it in awhile.

I hope everyone gets better and heals quickly!

CM3!!! I love - love - love your signature pix!!!!

Thanks Laurie !!! xo

Thanks CM3!!! Her steroid injections went well. She didn't have any kind of reaction and it seems to have helped the pain a little.

Oh That is WONDERFUL Made !!! I will continue to pray for her xo

last night, my cousin and i went out to do some post Christmas shopping. We went to the mall- i bought nothing. Target and Barnes and Noble- same story. On the way home we decided to stop at Walmart- All i bought was my welch's 6 packs of juice( Im 23 and still love the welch's juices), a piece of cheesecake from their bakery and reese's cups.

Today I am relaxing at home until my friend gets done work at 5, then her and I are going to hang out and catch up. What is everyone doing on the eve before new years eve?

Hello NMC !! My plans for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day are just to relax and watch movies, Christmas movies probably !! I have never been a drinker and we don't get invited to parties much which is fine with me, I am a bit of a wallf flower ! Spending time with my furkids is wonderful enough for me !! Hope you have a great Celebration ! xo

Quiet day here as well...recuperating from some sort of bug that comes with sore throat, aches and pains-ick. I'm watching my Christmas movies that I couldn't find time for before Christmas and allowing myself cookies, etc. In other words, I'm pampering myself and wallowing in my misery by the glow of the tree!

((((Momnan)))......You deserve pampering !! I hate sore throats ! Enjoy yourself with your tree, movies and cookies - That is what I would do ! xo

Good Morning, Christmas Family~

It's Friday- thank God!!

Not much new around here to report, had to come into work early today to catch up on payroll. It's a ghost town around here.

My parents are hitting an outlet mall today, and I hope I can sneak out early & meet them for lunch.

Any big New Year's Eve plans?

We are going to stay home, grill some steaks, have some bubbly, and play Play Station Move & board games! It's too dangerous to be out & about here on NYE. Check points everywhere, and the crime is outrageous. And you get stuck on the strip if you want to watch fireworks there, they close off the roads surrounding it @ 5:00 pm. So, we usually stay in.

My doctor's office called to confirm my Tuesday appointment. Unfortunately, no one was there to answer any of my questions. I'm going to just try & enjoy the weekend, and save the rest for next week.

Only a few more days left of Christmas movies on tv...I always get so sad when they're gone. It's kind of silly, really, since I have most of them on dvd. But, when they're on tv, it's just different- more special. I'm sure you all know what I mean

* I hope you're all doing well. Sending big hugs! *

((((Snowflake))))....I just touched your picture and prayed to one of my very favorite saints, St. Padre Pio for you xo I know what you mean about watching the movies on TV even though you have the DVDs. I am the same way !! There is somethng about seeing them with the Christmas commercials......xo

Coach, I am so sorry for your loss. I am sure your friend is in paradise even as I write......xo

(((((CAH)))))......I hope you feel better. As I have said before, you are too sweet to be sick - Get well my dear friend xo

I feel the exact same way !!!

I LOVE and totally support a 24/7 Christmas movie channel !! - Hope your pain goes away for good soon !! xo

The MMC jet stops EVERYWHERE!!!

Glad to hear the injections went well, Made. I will keep her & your family in my prayers.

OMG!!! You have A&W's in Las Vegas!!! I didn't know that!?!?! You are SOOOOOOOO lucky all of ours closed up!!! I like the name Fatburger it sounds YUMMY!!!

Yes, we got them in town @ 5 years ago! Only a few, and they are side by side with Long John Silver's...strange, but so. So happy @ it, too! We had them back in the midwest, and they were a favorite of ours. My parents used to take us to the drive-up on a hot summer's evening, in our pajamas, get a root beer float, and listen to the Brewer's game on the radio. It was the best!!
And Fatburger is so yummy! They have the dumbest commercials, though... Their slogan is "I want a man with a Fatburger in his hand!" Cheesy...!

Fingers are crossed for you! Enjoy the dinner w/ your friends, and have a great 3 day weekend :)

In & Out is awesome!! And they just opened one a mile away from our house! We used to have to drive near the Strip, and that was a pain.
Same with Dairy Queen, they opened one a few miles away. I was stoked about that- more blizzards for Stacey cheesy

Have you guys ever tried Orange Julius? They put one of those next to the new Dairy Queen. I love those!! I used to go there every once in awhile when I worked at the mall back in Wisconsin.

Can your jet stop in Vegas, too?!?! I want some of your dinner!! Sounds delicious. Enjoy!!

Hope you feel better, Nancy. Enjoy the pampering, you deserve it!

I'm sorry to hear that friend. My prayers go out to you and all of his friends and family.

Darn it!
Hopefully if her health is otherwise good, she'll heal. Probably better the arm than the hip.
That's just a bummer though. Keeping good thoughts for all of you!

Good afternoon, Christmas family !!

I am off for three days and really glad even though I don't get paid for being off on New Year's Day. I don't have any big plans, no New Year's Eve parties or anything like that. I will just be staying home with my furkids, my tree and watching the New Year come in with the usual dread that I have. I guess it's the Eeyore in me

I plan on watching some of the Christmas movies on Hallmark since this is the last weekend they will be on for a while.

I got a summons for Jury Duty this week. I have never been on a jury and will find out if I am required to serve the evening before.

Have a good afternoon Christmas family xoxo :rudolph:

I LOVE Wisconsin. Hubby and I vistied Minneapolis. We went to MOA, but our favorite place was a hole-in-the-wall restaurant called "Devil's Kitchen." I have to say it is the best place I've EVER been, besides home!!!

raining like crazy here in Wisconsin, USA-
good time to cozy up with a Christmas movie!

That plus what my husband calls the "Gerbil Tubes."
