Good Evening/Good Morning Wow the count is unreal. Hope everyone is doing well especially our friends in the northeast . Wowsie , what did you guys do to anger the Snow Gods ? Well, I am really not seeing houses with lights on the OUTside , but as I am driving along on certain streets I will crane my neck in such a fashion that enables me to " peak or is it peep ? into houses. I have spied some lit tabletop trees and lit garland as well. Jus tcall me the "Christmas Peeper", lol . Anyhow I am seeing more Valentines things going up , and also some very nice light displays to commemorate Valentines day as well.

So happy January (a.k.a the month that takes a year) is about over. I don't mean to wish my life away, but ...... January is just so uneventful and dark. I m trying to find positive things about it so next year its not as bad. Trying is the key word here!!

Good evening,

Today was a long day to say the least, School was canceled again as we got another foot of snow last night, the snow and snowbanks are just ridiculous at this point. My wife let me sleep in a little, had breakfast and then got to shoveling, it took an hour and a half to do it, then showered and went to work until 10pm tonight. My body is sore and tired, but I had to make a stop at my favorite website before going to bed. Back to work for 11am tomorrow. I counted 18 houses with lights still up.

we had some snowfalls like the ones you guys have had , last year. I remember the snow banks / mountains that were in parking lots , such as the mall and walmart. Enormous!!! Some of em lasted until April. they were a dirty black mess by then!

Good morning everyone! Last night in sleep I dreamed about every possible thing in my past I possibly could I think. Not wierd or crazy dreams just dreams people and events in my past. If everyone does not know by now I had one of my good friends that I had lost touch with die in a car wreck on the 26th(weds) and I just found out about it yesterday. I still dont know what happened,I mean it was a car wreck at 945 in the morning what else is there I need to know really? I always obsess over morbid details like this because I think if I know everything it will somehow explain or make sence of it. I always go through the motions of every day life thinking I am guarenteed tomorrrow when things like this happen I am always taken by shock and reality slaps me in the face. And that is why I always need to be grateful for my health and prosperity even when I let little things get me upset or put me in a bad mood!!! Well I have to take a test for about 2 hours this morning at work,then I am off the rest of the day. Everyone have a good morning!

Sorry to hear about your friend. I, too, get a little caught up in the daily routine, and still expect the sun to come up tomorrow. Like you, now and then reality catches up and I try to remember to thank the Lord for all that he's given me.

I am very, very sorry for the loss of your friend. I understand being obsessed by details, I am like that too. I think we all tend to take things for granted like health and that we will be here "tomorrow" so you are not alone. It is so easy to get into a routine and forget just how precious life really is. All you need to visit the 'Pines is a healthy appetite for Fired Twinkies, a thirst for Sweet Southern Iced Tea (um....and yes, coffee, such as it is) and a willingness to put up with Carl's zany hijinx.
Wednesday is the best day since that is the mid-week open house where the first Twinkie and glass of tea is complimentary and Carl is at his most -- er -- entertaining, shall we say.

I am very, very sorry about the loss of your friend. I too understand about being obsessive. It is so easy to get in a routine and take things for granted like our health and that we will be here "tomorrow". You are not alone. I don't drink coffee either! Lol. I actually have a juicer and make fresh veggie juice every morning and feel so much more energy now. Much more energy than I ever did with coffee.

Good morning,

That night of sleep was way too short, got to go to work in less than 90 minutes and do an inventory, I get to stand in the freezer that is -10*F and count for more than an hour, brrrrrrr. The good thing is I will be home by 8:30 tonight, but I will be back to work by 9am tomorrow.

I am so sorry for the loss of your friend. My best friend died over a year ago and it is still so hard on me. I miss her so much!

Good Morning Everyone! I'm so happy; we got our electricity back last night. BG&E told us that it wouldn't be back until Saturday, so we were surprised and pleased. It's snowing again, but it doesn't look like it's going to amount to much, and it seems to be very light.
