Christmas Countdown - 2011

Good morning friends. I'm off to Montreal (one of my fav cities on the planet) today for a visit with my son. Hope you guys have a great rest of the week.

Good Wednesday morning all! William seems to be tired this morning. He was almost sleeping in the car on the way to daycare this morning. I asked him on the way if he was tired. He nodded. But then sometimes he nods to everything! lol. He just sat in my lap and watched the rest of the kids play this morning. I hope he isnt getting sick. His birthday is on Sunday and LAST year he was sick on his birthday! I finished watching the Season 1 dvd set of the Drew Carey Show. Man I wish they would release the rest of it on dvd. Good thing I downloaded the whole series to my hard drive! Well just about time to start work! Hope everyone has a great day. Wait...I can see FRIDAY from here! Wooo!!

My boy LC's birthday is Sunday also, I miss good shows like Drew Carey, I prefer watching repeats of older shows compared to most of the trash that is on now.

Sitting relaxing listening to Christmas music right now while visiting this most wonderful site, Coach your words definitely ring true. Off to work in a little more than an hour. Rain is the word of the day, now lets hope it stays outside it is not welcome to stay in our basement anymore. I took a walk in the back yard to look at the damage caused by this years winter more closely. Our shed roof caved in, and one of the awnings on the back of the house collapsed, hope our homeowners insurance covers it.

Good Morning! I have been waking up every 2 hours so at 5 I said what the heck and just got up and brushed my teeth and got up if you call laying in bed with the tv on 'UP' watching the news is totally despressing and downright scary if you believe some of the reporters. I guess I will try to channel surf some more and order up some room service of orange juice! I hope everyone has a great weds morning!

Ballcoach mentioning about "With all that's going on in the world, I sure am glad I have this place and you people!" I feel the same way! Gabulldawg, I have to turn off the news all the time. I know it's the reality of things but it brings me down too much. I spent a lot of time last night praying about the situation instead of watching it all. It helps me focus on the hope that people can find peace in these situations.

It's Shispering Pines open house day again to mark the peak-of-the-week.
Carl is ready with fired twinkes, lots of sweet southern iced tea and.....yes.....more experimental coffee blends if you are feeling -- well -- experimental.

I have veggie juice every morning instead of coffee. Do you think they can experiment in making a "veggie coffee"? :lol:

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I agree with Coach. This place allows me to forget the problems of the world for a little while and just enjoy myself. I love it here!

My wife usually takes our son to his guitar lessons because they start at 4:30, before I get off work. Yesterday, however, she had to take our daughter for dance class pictures, so I took off work early to take our son. I've played guitar all my life, and I own a lot of equipment, but I can never resist buying the latest cool gadget, so I spent too much money yesterday. But I got some COOL stuff! That's prolly another reason Nancy doesn't let me take Jacob to guitar lessons very often, huh?

I was a big news junkie for a long time, watching news all day long, read 2 newspapers a day, I can't do it anymore to much bad news, to much division of this country caused by both of the major political parties, this is my escape along with sports to get away from all of that.

I so agree with this! back in 2001 2002 I kept cable news on my tv all day especially after 9/11 I watched just to keep informed on what may be coming next. Now I watch morning news but keep the volume on mute if I listen to my ipod and serf the net. The divisions that you speak of really bother me on both sides.:-? This is my place for peace and of course Christmas!
