Doesn't that drive you bloody mad when the weather reports are like that?. especially where I live where we barely ever get snow and when we did last year the forcasts where all over the place.typically the weather channel has been the most accurate for me. my local channels stink at forecasting.

Well we have all made it through the first work week after the Holidays! For me at least that is the biggest hurdle to get through. I'm about to pack up and head out for the weekend as I'm going to Atlanta this weekend for a friends wedding and to see some ppl i grew up with. Turns out its not suppose to snow or have freezing rain there until sunday night after I would have left anyways...but like Christmas-a-holic says, who knows with the differing forecasts!

Hope everyone has a safe and happy weekend,I will probably pop in while i'm gone from time to time!

It's Friday, so I'll help my father-in-law at his store. Fridays have turned into steak-grilling night at the store. Folks come from all around to eat steaks with us. FIL has a unique grilling method that produces a super-juicy steak. Matter of fact, that's what I have after the last customer leaves!

All my Christmas lights and trees are still on, I always have to continue it until after my birthday, part of my own little tradition, to bring my day into the holiday season.

I am home from school on this cold, cold Friday afternoon. It got colder as the day progressed. I wish we would have some snow, but I won't count on it! I hope everyone has a great afternoon and evening.

It's Friday night and the last weekday of my Christmas holidays. I've been able to watch Christmas movies all week on TV - they seem to be phasing them out slowly. Yesterday was Home Alone and today was The Muppet Christmas Carol. I'd never seen that one before and it was really good!!

It's snowing again - deep joy!! Will have to keep an eye on the leaky roof again.

Dogs have gone to bed and I'm thinking that's where I should be. Keep well everybody

Good evening, Christmas Family. Not a lot going on, though my other elderly kitty is in the hospital. :-? He got very ill Wednesday with "stomach flu" like symptoms and could not hold anything down. Yesterday he would not eat a morsel. He did start drinking again. This morning as it is Friday I decided to try to get him to eat early and if he didn't I knew he would have to see his doctor. You guessed it - he wouldn't eat so Caninemom was on the phone bright and early. Doc examined him and decided to keep him at least overnight, do x-rays, get blood samples, etc. Punkin' has been gone just over a month. Now my Goblin is sick :-?


On a brighter note. My tree is still up and shall remain so until at least next weekend. I am not letting it go this year, at least not easily. I feel so much more happy looking at "him". The garland on the mantle is lit and shall remain there 365 days a year.

We are expecting some lake effect tonight. Hope it is not too bad in the morning. I have to weigh in monthly and tomorrow is the day.

I hope Goblin is better, and last year I kept one of my trees up until the weekend before February, just couldn't take it down last year.

It's great they still have those Christmasy movies on TV at this point, they pretty much stop here on Jan. 1, except for Hallmark Channel they went through the 2nd.
