Don't worry I checked this morning the Sounds of the Season channel is now back to the unlistenable "The Pulse" so now my TV has another black hole of a channel that won't be watched/listened to until November 1.

I was leaving and on my way out ,when out of the corner of my eye, I spied a glorious glittery shiny and brite bell in a window ( it was a paper die cut decoration) That read"Merry Christmas". I recognized it , as one who scours ebay year round for decs, I had seen something similar before.So My curiosity peeked, I went in to the room, and what I walked into was out of this world ( from the vantage point of a vintage Christmas dec lover) It was eye candy to the max! Strung to the ceiling was a wonderland of vintage Christmas decorations made by the Beistle company. It was Delicious ,Delicious ,display of color and vintage "yumminess "

So I struck up a conversation with the teacher, who incidentally was the Art teacher. He told me that his house is full of such things and tomorrow he is going to show me pictures .I cannot wait!! He also told me that he keeps all his stuff up until the end of the month. HAVING never met him before I began to suspect that he is "one of us " I m taking my camera in tomorrow and I m going to take pictures of his classroom If I get the right "vibe "I may even tell him about us . lol

Good morning all! We had a light dusting of snow this morning, and everything looks very pretty. The forecast calls for snow showers today and tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it!
 
We had Dish for several and we have lots of wind many days of the year, some with heavy rain. Haven't lost it yet!

Yep, it's my birthday, age never really has bothered me before but my 36th is bothering me a little bit. My mother was only 36 when she passed nearly 20 years ago, and it is just makes me sense my own mortality now that I am at that same age. I know it is all in my head, just need to work my way through it I guess. I will be working for most of the day, so we will be celebrating it on Sunday.

Good morning, Christmas friends. I am off to a day with no kids because there is an all-day teachers' meeting. Half of the day with a speaker and half the day getting plans together for kids who need extra help. All for the sake of test scores!!! I hope everyone has a great day!

Thanks for everyone's input on cable/dish tv. I called to inquire about downgrading my service or cancel. They did the usual, "we hate to lose you as a customer". I politely told them I am trying to lower my monthly bills and noticed there will be an $8.00 increase in February. The lady was great and worked with me. She gave me a monthly discount of $19.33, threw in Starz channel and we will not be affected by the increase in February. I am not locked into a contract either. I never mentioned or try to talk her into a discount, I was going to downgrade. She offered me a great deal so we are keeping it! =)

They do try to do anything in their power to keep you, when I called last year to cancel my Directv, it was because they were in a dispute with the channel Versus and I couldn't watch my hockey games, I told them I thought their service was great, but they didn't have what I want and Comcast gave us a better deal, they started throwing we will give you free NHL Center Ice for the rest of the year, and so on. I told them that wouldn't help me with the playoffs and I am sorry, I had made my mind up. They still call once a week to see if we will switch back, which is almost borderline harassment at this point. cheesy

Good morning ... woke up to a couple of inches of snow.. very pretty. It has since stopped but now they are saying we may get a couple more inches tomorrow. It's the nice fluffy snow that packs great. I can see us outside with the kids building a snowman either tonight and or tomorrow.

Going to take down the christmas trees and all the inside christmas decorations this weekend and then decorate with my snowman stuff.

What is the company that worked with you? It might be worth it for us to rattle our cable company a little to see what we can negotiate.
