Tonight is the thing I look forward to most on New Year's The Winter Classic NHL outdoor game, it is usually the only thing I like to watch on New Year's.

Have a great day may it still be Christmassy!

Wayne looks forward to this game too. Tonight his favorite team is playing, Washington Capitols.

Got any plans for 2011? We're planning on taking a trip back where I grew up, and a trip to visit a dear friend of ours in her 80s, and I have various video, audio, and crochet projects in mind. There will be plenty to keep me occupied on the way to the next Christmas season, and that'll help it come quickly. I guess the best antidote for missing Christmas Present when it becomes Christmas Past is to get started on Christmas Yet to Come!
We are trying to plan to go to Waynes hometown, Maryland and possibly spend a day in Washington D.C. to visit the Smithsonian. He has been there before but I never have and always wanted to.

I also feel very motivated to have a nice organic vegetable garden. I eat tons of veggies everyday so I might as well grow my own! I will have my grandkids help me. They love doing that type of stuff. We planted a pumpkin patch one year and they loved tending to it.

You sound like you have a great year ahead of you!
Happy New Year!! Well, my Christmas friends, I have some news! It snowed during the night here in northern California!!!!!! I kid you not! My husband went out and took pictures of his truck and my van with the snow on it because it was melting quickly! I hope it snows again because we only got flurries, but beggars can't be choosers!

We would love to see the pictures!

I have decided that my resolution for this year is to just stay on this side of the grass. Has anyone else made a resolution?

I would stay on "this side" of the grass but I think we just about killed it this year and it's not very green. My neighbor's grass is a lot greener!

All kidding aside, I am like Auntie with New Years resolutions. I don't like making them for the very same reason.

I did make some awesome changes for myself last year and will stick with it all through 2011. I eat extremely healthy all the time and have been for a long time. It's a habit and a good one. I didn't do this for weight loss but to improve my overall health and I am feeling better every day. It was a little difficult during the whole Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday but I stayed with it! Yay me!

I do hope to add in a good workout routine now that I am feeling better but don't want to make it a resolution just in case I fail. cheesy

must be where all our snow has gone....it has been raining here all day and it is pretty much disappeared. Looks strange to be January and have no snow.

Good morning,

New Year's eve was just a small little thing here, just had my brother-in-law over had pizza and my wife, him, and I watched a couple movies (Easy A, and Vampires Suck, the second word of the second movie describes it perfect, Easy A was good) Last Christmas party today, but still watching Christmas movies. I usually miss the NHL Classic because we are busy doing stuff and I forget about it, but his year my Caps are in it, and I want to see them kick some Penguin butt! My wife gave me a Capitals hat and shirt for Christmas, and she didn't realize it but, the shirt has the NHL Winter Classic patch on one of the sleeves, pretty cool!

We had a great day to start off the New Year! Wayne and I went to my job to feed the animals. We are closed but just like Christmas Day we go in and spend about an hour there feeding the bunnies, birds, guinea pigs, hamster, and sometimes we have chicks and ducks and other animals. Then we went to Chili's to eat. Our landlord gives a Chili's gift certificate every Christmas that we use on New Years Day. We went to the mall and a few other places then came home and took down the outdoor Christmas decorations.

Sounds like everyone else had a great day too!

Hooray, it's the 2011 Countdown!
I spent the day relaxing until I got stir crazy, then did some shopping. I'm enjoying the Christmas Decorations now. We won't take them down until after January 6 (Epiphany). In fact, the tree looks so good this year that I might leave it up till the end of the month.

We took down outside decorations but plan to leave the inside ones up a bit longer.

My back-home is Maryland, too!

The Smithsonian is actually made up of several museums, including the Museum of American History (my favorite), the Air and Space Museum, and the Museum of Natural History. Allow plenty of time, and enjoy everything!

Thanks for the info! The one museum I am looking forward to most is the Air and Space Museum but I can't wait to see it all!

Wayne is from Taneytown, MD.

My wife gave me a Pen's hat for the Winter Classic for Xmas, Pen's are my #1A (Bruins #1) should be a great game.

Good for you, MerryBells!

Only 35 messages and we will be ahead by 55 to have a "cushion" for those days that might be slow!

Good Evening Christmas Family

I am watching Home Alone 2. The tree and inside decorations are still up and they will remain up possibly until the end of the month. I don't want to give up Christmas just yet and so I won't.

I didn't do much today. Slept quite a bit with my furchildren !! Tomorrow it is the beginning of my work week as usual.

Have a great evening Christmas Family xo

We are about ready to have dinner, which really isn't dinner but New Year's Day snacks: cocktail weiners and meatballs in a sauce, crescent rolls cocktail weiners, deviled eggs, homemade guacamole, salsa, chips, Christmas candy, and anything else we can add to the mix! Yummo!
