Good Afternoon MMC!
I was nicely surprised this morning to discover that our church still has all the lovely green garland up around the windows in the sanctuary. It looks so nice.
Plus it has been softly snowing all day, you know those nice big snow flakes that slowly float down.

It's pretty cold down here, but not as cold as some nearby places. We're around the freezing mark, and it's been there all day. A bowl of chili is sounding pretty good for supper!

Well snow is on the way for us so been busy getting ready for it. Started to take Christmas tree down last night but said what the heck still looks good just a little dry so will leave the lights off for now on out. The outside lights stay on till next sunday the same as The Plaza Lights do. Got laid off from work Friday set me back a little but all will be good just change some dates and all will be just fine.
Just got back from an awesome weekend in Atlanta but did not see any snow...I think its suppose to get there tonight. We are forcasted for some freezing rain tonight which will make for a really fun commute in the morning! hope everyone had a great weekend!I'm about to call it a day,talk to yall tomorrow!
I have a Nook and absolutely LOVE it. When we went across the US this past summer, I took the Nook and no other bags and bags of books to read. It was great!

I buy books from both stores for my Nook--no problem. I love my big screen and the fact that I can change font and font size! That's good for this old timer!

Good afternoon, Christmas friends. It is a bright, sunny, cold day today. We are heading out to a crab feed at the Elks Lodge. This event is how we make money for scholarships for local high school students. Hope we make some big bucks today!!

The ornaments are packed away ... the tree is resting in its special bed ... the outside lights are packed away. 
The only Christmas things left standing are two mice that an old friend from my childhood sent me this year. (Backstory: She HATED mice, yet I always got her greeting cards with cute mice on them---I must have thought she'd learn to like mice if they were cute! So she sent me two huge mice in Christmas outfits!) I have to find something to pack them up in since they're new. I'll post pictures when I get the chance.

Evening all! Just setup the wireless setting on my wires kobo reader. Looks nice and we got it from walmart. Also it comes with 100 free books and there is even an ad card slot to load even more! So we both got our gadgets for Christmas. No how do I top this Christmas? Have a good evening everyone!
evening all, oops I did it again, Hit the Christmas Clearance aisle, tonights find, a pink 18 inch prelit feather tree. I m gonna use it for Valentines day decs. Im feeling rather Schizophrenic, yesterday I started ( a small start) to take the decs down, and was going to to do the Valentines day stuff ( early ) couldn't do it cuz i didnt want to take down my tree. but today , because of the feather tree, im looking forward to Valentines day decs. hmmmmm. Perhaps its time to give my ornies their 299 day rest so they can be ready to shine and sparkle a little way down the road!
When I was Leaving work friday I drove a different way home and went through really really nice part of town and one home in particular still had ALOT of yard decorations still up,it looked like santa's village. Around here that is really rare in that most people have everything down by the 3rd or 4th. I did not notice tonight if it was still up,I will try to remember to drive by on my way home tomorrow.
Oh, I am too excited tonight. They are forecasting 4 to 7 inches of snow tonight with an additional 1 to 3 inches tomorrow!! The whole town is shut down for tomorrow already and this is the most snow that we have had in this town at one time since 1988! I've got my snowman making gear all laid out for tomorrow and I've got my hot chocolate ready. Since this kind of snow only happens every 23 years or so around here I plan to enjoy every minute of it! Have a great night everybody and an even better tomorrow!!
