Christmas Countdown - 2011

Hi Christmas Friends,
Well they say this is the most depressing weekend of the year!
I went to church this morning, I then got a replacement TV for my flat as my current one has broken, will be strange not seeing the chrismtas idents between programmes!
Going to do some practise this afternoon before term starts tommorow and will most likely spend most of my evening on here tonight, which I guess will be most of your early evening's in the states!
To all in the USA I am very sorry to hear about yesterday's horrific events. My thoughts are with you all in what I am sure can;t be a pleasant time!

Good Morning, Friends and Christmas Neighbors.

I hope the first half of your weekend went well and that it will be more than matched by the second half.

The count:
Days to the Season: 308
Days to Christmas Day: 350
One week from tomorrow, guys -- ONE WEEK until Milestone #1, the 300-day Season marker.
Just watch them fall like dominoes after that!

Below freezing (26) here again this morning with frozen precip (of one form or another) predicted for tonight, Monday and Tuesday.
So often here, it will come as sleet or freezing rain rather than snow, unfortunately.
The 6" of snow we had on Dec 26 was unusual -- and pretty!

You have a Super Sunday, folks.
May the NFL playoff team of your choice win today, unless it's Philadelphia.
(Sorry. I'm a Packers fan from waaaaaaay back. And I mean way back to the Bart Starr days of the 1960's!)

Heyyy now! Although we don't really watch sports, we lived in Philly (now right outside) so I feel like I should be a fan.. ha!

I'm going to do some more investigating---if I get one, I'll let you know what I think. If I go anywhere where I'll be sitting or waiting for a while, I always take a book. This would solve the problem of finishing the book I've taken with me and not having another one handy to start on. And you can put MP3s and audiobooks on it, too. But it's a pricey convenience ... I want to think hard before I buy.

I use kindle on my ipad all the time....and my ipad does soooooo much more than just be a reader....I would buy my ipad 1,000 times over...just my input...

The weather here may turn into dangerous icy road conditions. In this part of Texas, most don't know what to do on ice and there are many accidents every time the roads get bad.

I pray all stay safe on the roads!

Good Morning, Its a gloriously snowy morning here is Western Pa. Was out this am with my dog, Penny, and was marveling at the winter beauty. Snow in the trees , the sun was shining and the snow looked like diamonds on the ground!! Delicious ! so Shiny and Brite ! I felt happy to be alive !! :snowball

: DIDnt get much done in the way of getting Decorations down, was going to take the tree down yesterday, and decided "no, no , I cant.!

I'm sure it is a fire hazard by now, whats a few more days? right?

Hello Christmas Family !!

A very quiet day so far .....awaiting news from the doctor about Goblin. Ran out of work AGAIN !! Arrrggh !! Man, if it does not pick up this week, I won't be able to pay for anything !!

Christmas decorations still up, garland is lit as I write and tree will be lit later on today !! cheesy

Got my decorations down... on the dining room table now. One step at a time! Anything that could be remotely classified as "winter" stays.. even if it has holly or a Santa hat on it - if there is something snow-like, it's not going away for a bit!!

Tree is still up, drier everyday. Still looks pretty - just don't touch it or risk being poked to death!
