I know this may sound sound lame, but Hubby and I went to Taco Bell for chalupas. They were fantastic! Tomorrow night, we are going to a Cinco de May Mayo celebratltion at the Red Bluff Elks. It promises to be a great evening! This has been a great birthdayday. I received three great bouquets at school, had a mini party with cupcakes, went out to dinner and got lots of Happy Birthday good wishes. Thanks to every=one! It was wonderful! Getting older does have have its perks!!!

I am in the final stages of my bachelor-education I finnished the internship well, now i am focussing on my thesis!
Our house is coming along well, they think we'll be able to live in there by september! That would be so amazing!

I know it has been a while since I have posted but this first part of the year has been a little out of the ordinary. First my brother passed away in February and while I was dealing with that I was trying also to finish my Associates Degree (accomplished in March) and then 2 weeks ago we had all those tornados coming through the state. We didn't get a whole lot of damage in my neighborhood but the power was out for 6 days and we still don't have telephone service (but thank You Jesus we still have ourselves). So enough of the bad, I'm ready for some good and coming here is always good!! Hoping everyone has a blessed and beautiful day!

Good Afternoon Everyone!!!!!!! We had some light rain this morning but it is looking like the rest of the day is going to be dry. Then the strong storms will move in overnight and tomorrow. I just got back from the horse track with my neighbor. We went down and placed our bets for the Kentucky derby tomorrow. I only bet $2 but my neighbor made so many different bets that I lost track of how much he was spending. He goes to the horse track at least once a week though so he knows what he is doing unlike me. My plan for today is to watch some nascar coverage and then I need to run to the store to get some snacks for tomorrow. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning everyone! thanks everyone for the well wishes for when I am away. It means alot to me! I am just getting up and sent my mom some flowers and a gardenia plant for mothers day! now that I am going to miss our family vacation in June I will not get to see them until Christmas probably. And by the way I have not told them yet I am getting deployed..I seem to always put things hard off as long as possible. Alot has happened in the last month and it's amazing how fast my life is changing. Yesterday I went and got my friend from Jacksonville then we went to the beaches there and ate swam and got a little burned. It was a great day though and we are now about to go to home depot to get some building supplies for my back deck. have a great day everyone!

Good Friday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

I spent the morning in Statesboro with my son's class. They had a reward day for something called "The Accelerated Reader Program". After reading so many books valued a so many points apiece, they get a day off. We went to one of those arcades that has games, bowling, laser tag, batting cages, etc. He had a great time, but I ready to leave after 4 hours. Who knew I'd be happy to be at work?! :?

We're supposed to go turkey hunting in the morning, then the guy is coming to start on the pool in the morning. Busy weekend with Mother's Day Sunday!

You know the "dvd" I ordered of, Rick Steves' European Christmas? I was hoping it would be here today so I can watch it. It arrived and I was so excited only to find out they sent me a blu-ray disc! I don't have a blu-ray player. :-?

My son has a PS3 it will play on but I will not always have access to it.

I am sure I will be buying a blu-ray player eventually but it's not going to help me right now.

At least I ordered it through Target and can return it. I will just have to wait and watch it another day. I'm a little bummed but it will be ok! cheesy

Good evening, Christmas family.....


Nothing big planned for tonight. I have to say I don't understand why this job makes me so much more tired than any other job I have ever had.....But it does. By the time Friday morning comes I am exhausted.........So, not much for me tonight but RELAXATION !!


Seawaters.........I do have Diana and Prince Charles paper dolls !! Cant tell you how much I love this simple "toy". I have always been interested in fashion and what a wonderful way for kids to learn about different eras,cultures,etc. !!!!

I hope you have some good luck. Next week is the Brimfield Antique Show and Flea market up here, (next town over from me) they claim it is one of the largest Antique and flea markets in the world, and it happens 3 different times in the spring/summer/fall. I will convince my wife to go one of these days so I can find some really cool vintage Christmas decorations.

What fun! I love flea markets - even I don't find anything I want they are so interesting! I learn a lot from the vendors and that is a big plus in my job.

It must be a big wet one, I've seen camels spit.

I have an account with Dover Books which is where I get all my paper dolls from !! Most of the dolls are drawn by a WONDERFUL artist named Tom Tierney. I actually spoke to him once on the phone.........I got brave and called a number I had for him and he answered the phone !! So I talked to him and asked if maybe there could be a Henry VIII and Wives paper doll book sometime.......He loved the idea......and guess what !!! A short time later......Henry VIII and Wives was a paper doll book !!! I think I bought like 3 or 4 of them........but I might have to buy more before they disappear !!

CM3, I went garage saling today and picked up Japanese Family sticker paper dolls, Chinese Women's Fashion Paper Dolls, and Japanese Warrior Costumes Paper Dolls - they are by Dover. Some of the dolls have been cut out, but the books themselves are in great shape - I think all the pieces are there, but it was crowded in the church so I could be mistaken. When I find an envelope big enough, I'll send them your way!
