I did a triple major (yes, triple major...super indecisive here, lol) in Music, Business (accounting emphasis), and Broadcast Journalism. I graduated there in 2008, and moved back to PA in July of that year (not because I wanted to, but because finances made it so). I didn't do high school around there though...just randomly moved down there from PA just for college, haha.

ahh okay thanks!! most of the people I have met that attend VSU are the kids from Atlanta..like 50 percent of the student body...then alot are local too..and then even fewer are the ones like you that randomly picked VSU! the reason I asked is because I have been on campus alot lately and noticed the construction they are really fixing it up nice! My Gf was an Education major and graduated spring 2010 so I have met alot of people through her that went there too. The only part of the campus that looks the same is the North Campus by the hospital where the business classes are held..I like change but it is kind of sad to see old buildings replaced!!cheesy

Good evening just after the witching hour,

WOW! Busy busy day here, took almost an hour to catch up on all the posts in ye olde countdown. Extremely busy at work today I must have had 733 things to get done I think I got 732 finished. As a "wise" man once told me "Always leave them wanting more." Hmmm, I could never figure out why he got fired. But my weekend off is upon us, I get so excited to get 2 days off in a row now since it happens so rarely. The teachers dinner was great, teachers are so funny once they get a little alcohol in them. I ran into my third grade teacher, she didn't really remember me considering it was 28 years ago when she was my teacher, she looked the same she was celebrating 30 years as a teacher. We hit 10,000 posts tonight, congrats GBD for making the milestone post, Seawaters will give out a good prize for that one I am sure.

FYI the 10,000th post last year was made on September 13, by Made. 13 is a good number after all.

Have a good night!

Friends....I always try to be upbeat...I believe in creating your own happiness....that being happy is a choice...but tonight I can't be happy.

We are a small community along the Mississippi River. There is another river here that flows into the Mississippi. Several ditches and streams flow into this secondary river. The rain has persisted. Ditches have backed up. Slowly, the waters started to rise. It's just gone up and up. It simply won't stop.

People have been fighting it all week.

The water has just been too much.

There has been many families who won't be able to go back home. We are on the verge of losing a lot more. The heartbreak in their faces, the helplessness...it just breaks your heart. The kids who have lost everything...everything....

It's just not fair. Inch and half of rain yesterday....two more today...

The water has gone up three feet almost in 24 hours....

There are alot of kids that I love being changed by this. No one has died, but it's tragic to all involved, but especially the kids.

I don't know who you talk to when you lay your head down at night...but if you don't mind, say a prayer for these people. Right now, that's all some of them have.

Heavenly Father,

We know well that you love us all. Please, Heavenly Father, look upon and be with the people battling these terrible weather conditions and guide them with your love and strength. Please give them the resources to be able to survive, Dear lord and in the name of Mercy, please make the rising of the water cease, just as your Son calmed the storm for the disciples. Father please put your loving arms around all of them but especially the children who are suffering greatly. Please, Heavenly Father let all feel your presence and feel your love and strength among them

In the most holy name of Jesus,

Amen ((((((HUGS))))))) xo

Good morning! Ballcoach I said a prayer for all the flood victims along the mississppi river valley. It is so hard to believe everyone so close to where I live which is in drought, can be having flooding. But i have seen footage on Tv...And the last time I remember seeing anything like it would be the St louis floods of 1993. In any case prayers go out to you and everyone along the flood stricken area.

Can't sleep but about to try again. I sleep in 2 hour intervals. on a positive note. I made reservations for my mom and dad to come see me in december. I payed with my delta skymiles so they have to change planes twice before they get here and it will take 12 hours from portland Or. But it was free! Anyway I can't wait for Christmas this year especially. I will get home from overseas in early october. My sister and her hubby from mississippi, then my brother and his wife and kids are driving in from texas and staying for a week,my parents are staying 10 days. this is the first year we are having our family christmas at my home in Ga!!Last Christmas was awesome, but this one has the potential to be even better! Have a good saturday morning all!

Interesting choices for majors! How did you combine those? And may I ask what kind of work you do? I am curious to hear such things, since I am combining three majors as well, but mine are more closely related (Chinese language, Chinese arts and culture and International Relations, soon I will have my BA degree in these and for my masters degree I can only choose one, so I will pursuing International Relations....)

Can't believe how fast we are going this year!!

I will, i am really wishing you the best!!

Glad you are feeling better.
Yes me too :)

I agree!!!!
I agree as well! I actually can't believe that this is allowed! Aren't children protected against this?? Shouldn't childprotection services interfere with this kind of behavior??

Thank you every one for your nice comments about my thesis, my teacher replied he was going to look at it asap, but that he was really busy and that it might take a while...

Hope all of you have a lovely day!

I have to get something off my chest!! I am watching the news and they are interviewing a lady who gives her 8 year old child Botox injections because she don't like the way her face looks..(at the age of 8 !) absolutly crazy!
I saw that yesterday. Nuts! I can't believe she's not in jail!

Good Saturday morning, my Christmas friends!

I am once again posting live from Bernie's Store in beautiful downtown Bellville, GA! Ok, it's not so beautiful this morning. It's overcast and humid as all get out.

I've cooked all the sausage, bacon & eggs, two pots of coffee on, and a cup of coffee in my hand, so it's time to catch up on MMC! There are lots of folks coming in dressed-up this morning, heading to graduation at Georgia Southern University here in Statesboro. It starts at 9 am! They are planning to do it in the football stadium, but it's looking like rain, so they may have to think about changing their plan. Good luck to them!

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

good morning again! slept another 2 hours,I think I may go back and try again for a few more. Sometimes I sleep like that all night, wake up then sleep another 2 hours, get for a while and repeat repeat! I went to the grocery store just now to buy some milk and eggs and was amazed how bad traffic was that early on a saturday and forgot the the High school here was having thier graduation at 8 am. It is so hot here and they have it at the football stadium they have to have it that early.:) I think over 600 are graduating just from that one high school, its the biggest one in town by far and the 4th or 3rd biggest in the whole state with over 3500 students. Too bad I don't get into high school football because around here it is all anyone thinks about. MyGf and soon to be Fiance teaches at that high school so Maybe I will get more involved over time..we always win state and national titles! other than that not much more to talk about. I hope everyone has a great Saturday as we enter Mid may this time in a week I can say we are in late may!jeesh I will grasp at anything to make it feel like the passage of time until Fall gets here. But from May on till september that is how I am! I just really dislike summer!

That is how it is here in valdosta..you can always tell when VSU is having graduation(which btw was last sat here at VSU) because of heavy traffic increase. I think valdosta and statesboro are about the same size but Ga southern is def.bigger than VSU which has about 11,000 students. When I was going to Ga southern in the 90's they already had like 15,000 back then.DO you live in Bullock county brad? and is it still a "dry" county?hehe

I was WAY surprised...I really thought he'd go to the finale. Think it should be Hines, Ralph...and honestly I don't care between Chelsea and Kirstie which of them goes to the finale, because I think Hines has it in the bag. =D
He is good too, unfortunately his partner, Kym, was taken to hospital yesterday after an accident during rehearsal. Still have not heard how she is.

I live in Evans County, which borders Bulloch to the south. Yeah, Bulloch is still somewhat dry. They allow beer & wine sales except on Sunday, and no liquor sales at all. 'Course, I gave all that up a long time ago, too!

I went to Georgia Southern back when it was Georgia Southern College, in the 80's. Looooong time ago. I think I still have the parachute pants I wore to class! cheesy

Black cats who are actually chocolates---they must be dark chocolate! cheesy
(Couldn't resist ...)

Good Morning all

Good morning, irishsnow!

Good morning!

It is cloudy and rainy out and the temps have gone way down from yesterday. Last night/early this morning there were several thunderstorms and Bo barked through all of them. Left the light on for him most of the night and that seemed to calm him down some. With all the rain we have been getting and the humidity of the past few days, the morels are popping up - hopefully I can get out and harvest a few before the deer eat them :)

Have a great day!!!!!!!!!!!

yes I remember passing through Evans county...I think back in the 90's Bulloch county did not even sale wine..I did not drink wine back then so I don't know,I hardly drink any now,I will have a glass of wine or a beer at night, but drinking like I did in college days..No way..that part of my life is over and looking back now I'm glad. At the time I sure thought I was having fun though! I loved living in statesboro because Savannah was right there..in fact when the publix in statesboro closed down my roommate was working there...he tranferred to the one in savannah.I also hung out in savannah in 1997 when they were filming "midnight in the garden of good and evil" I can't believe since I moved back to Ga I have not been to Savannah,I need to go in the fall!
