Do you bowl duckpins there, or regular tenpins? Duckpins was prevalent in Maryland, but I think it went up into Penn. too.

They have duckpins at the alleys here, but none that are just specifically duckpins. I haven't done that in years, but I'm open to trying it again!

The ice cream is vanilla---the sauce is maple-flavored, and it's sprinkled with bacon bits. No, they didn't go so far as to flavor the ice cream itself with bacon!

Ahhhh! He made it sound like the ice cream itself was bacon flavored! Still...I dunno if I could do bacon bits on my ice cream! lol

My oven has finally finished self cleaning! I put my lasagna in about 15 minutes ago. I am kind of nervous about tonight. I am going to ask my gf to marry me we have been on and off again this last year!!,and although we have discussed this she has no idea I am actually giving her a ring tonight. Everyone wish me luck!!

I know exactly what you mean, that is why I am obsessed with pictures! I take them all the time so when things change I can at least remember them the way they were. when you were at VSU was frat row by the drexal park,or on baytree?

I am obsessed with pics too, and I have tons of VSU! They redid the library while I was there and started upgrading Langdale...everything else has been done since I left.

The only frat that was on Baytree that I remember was SAE...TKE was on Oak right across from campus. Kappa Sigma, Sigma Nu, and Pi Kap were by Drexel. Has that changed?

haha yes you are correct again! valdosta high won all the titles back in the 90's but Lowndes high ended up being awseome the last few years. Brandi did her student teaching at LHS and loved it and ended up getting offered a job there. I bet we have met..lol now that would be funny!.hehecheesy

We may have! lol Did you used to frequent Rockin Rodeo back around 2005-2008? I swear we were there every Thursday-Saturday. I'm trying to remember some of the other places we used to frequent, but I'm coming up blank. I remember you saying you used to go to Mellow all the time...I went there too sometimes but not as much as RR!

Oh gosh...didn't realize I had posted so much! I apologize for anyone who grumbles while sorting through all my posts!

I have had the craziest week! I didn't have to work at Hallmark, but between this week and last week, I worked 12 days in a row at Kohl's. That included one overnight shift in between two regular shifts, which ended up with me being up over 30 hours in a row! I'm still not sure I've fully recovered from that because I'm still taking little catnaps every now and then, lol. But the paycheck next Friday will be SO worth it! =)

This morning, I went with Travis and his parents to the pancake jambouree in our town...my second! It's so much fun! You basically pay $6 and you eat all the pancakes and sausage you can! I didn't really have that much but what I did eat was delicious!

After that, I had to travel to Baltimore for an SAI meeting (SAI is the music fraternity I'm involved with, now as an alum, obviously). At the end, I was installed as the new chapter president!!! I'm so excited, but very nervous as it's a lot of responsibility! Fortunately I have a fantastic exec board so hopefully I will do well!

Hope everybody has a fantastic weekend! I still will be quite busy but it should be fun!

Oh! An update on my dad for those who were wondering...he had his surgical consult this week and he goes in for surgery on Tuesday May 31. I guess if they're waiting that long, it can't be too serious, but I am still freaking out a little. He is still very optimistic and happy they caught it "early" (which, seriously, if he's 85-90% blocked, that's not EARLY and I'm still very upset about that), so I'm trying to adopt his positivity. Keep him in your thoughts, please! <3

Is she officially a fiancee now? If so, congrats!!! And yes, definitely post sonogram pics if you can! I love when my friends show me their pics...it's just so awesome to see life growing like that! Travis's best friend even had a video on his phone, I didn't know they did that now! He showed me that at my birthday party last week - definitely an awesome present! Can't wait to have another "nephew"! By the end of this year, we're going to have 3 "nieces/nephews" (we know of 2 "nephews" definitely...one friend hasn't found out the sex yet, I'm hoping for another "niece"!), and another friend is having a baby too...baby fever around my way!

Well okay.I asked her and then she started crying and threw up..but then again she has been vomiting non stop the last week. she said yes but still seeing her puke after I asked her hand in marriage has made me paraniod! :

what about Rick's and someplace else? that was the best place to dance on sat night....I don't know about now though. but it was the place a few years ago. I went to mellow mushroom to eat and drink a few beers.my gf is an Alpha Delta Pi... I know alot of delta chi's through her too,and also SAE's>lol

I just wanted you to know how much you have inspired me with your posts about opening your own business. You see, I love scrapbooking and love to create some beautiful albums; and I am seriously thinking of establishing a business for that purpose. In our small town, we have a Christmas faire in early December where we can rent a booth to sell things--anything ranging from jellies and jams to woodworking to art to just about any kinds of crafts. I thought the faire would be a good venue to see if I could possibly be successful. I might even consider teaching classes on scrapbooking. Lots of plans to be made. My husband is 100% behind me. He has seen my work and he knows how relaxing it is for me. There are only a few tools that I really need to buy, so I am planning on doing that soon because I am not sure if there will be much money when I retire! Wish me luck!
