We are still under a tornado warning but it got really scary for awhile. The sirens went off, lights flickering and very dark clouds. I put my dogs inside a baby playpen, my cats in their carriers and placed them in the center part of the house. I also put our bike helmets in the hallway to wear to protect our heads if we need them. May sound silly but I always do that when it gets serious, you got to protect your head! I then woke up my son and told him to be ready just in case.

If anyone was watching the Rangers game they had to evacuate them to the bottom level. The ballpark is west of us about 30 minutes away from where we live.

Well great! As I type this they said another tornado just touched down directly south of us. I hope no one is hurt.

I want to go to sleep!!! I better go and keep a watch out.

I couldn't even imagine, CAH! It must be sooooooo scary!

Weather has been yuck....keeps knocking power out and I'm having issues with my router.

Being an ol' ballcoach, I'm pretty superstitious. Passed the TIV (stormchasers show vehicle) today. It might not have been a blackcat running across the road, but it's pretty darn close.

Not a good outlook here tonight. Last night, it was 76 at 3:00 am. We let school out early because of the risk of weather moving in and wind. Not a good mix for tall buses.

About to go cook a meal for us to eat tonight. See ya later! Got some catching up to do, but I will do it tonight!!

Good evening,

Long day here again, I now have a sore throat, LC is still a little feverish, if he still isn't well in the A.M. I will be staying home with him. I had my favorite grinder for dinner called a Philadelphia Phil, it is meatballs, italian sausage, pepperoni, spicy marinara, peppers and provolone cheese. So much flavor, so good. Grinders are what we call subs in my area, my bro-in-law from NJ never heard of that before he started dating my sister. I need to get some shut eye, it may be a long day with a sick boy tomorrow.

CAH I hope the tornado warnings go away so you can get to bed.

Have a good night!

I may be a little late responding - since your post was last night and I'm just trying to catch up now...but I hope you and your son are feeling better!

(And that sandwich sounds delicious!)

Good afternoon my fellow friends. Today I woke up to my nephew singing at the top of his lungs Jingle Bells. It was a great holiday jolt and to think we are just close to month and half to Christmas in July and the start toward holidays times.

What a nice way to wake up! Sooooooo cute!

I was whining about the rain the other day when a friend stopped me, reminded me of all the destruction and loss of lives around the world because of storms and earthquakes, and then wanted to know why I was not more thankful all we had was a little extra rain?
What would we do without friends to keep our lives in perspective?

I just have to say...good point, ChristmasStar.

Good afternoon,

Well, I ended up calling out sick today, I don't think I slept more than one hour at a time last night, just feeling lousy with pressure in my head and sore throat. LC is home also, he is doing better today but I just wanted him to rest up a little more to make sure he is okay. I was folding laundry this morning and I noticed the movie called Christmas Story was on demand. It was the Finnish movie from 2007. I watched it and it was a really good movie, it was dubbed in English, which is a little annoying when the lips don't match the words, but even 3 year old LC couldn't stop watching it. I highly recommend it. Hoping my Bruins close out the series tonight so they can face the Vancouver Canucks for the Stanley Cup next week.

Have a great :rudolph: Day!

GO B's!!

A-hem...you'll have to excuse me when I say "GO CANUCKS"!...for obvious reasons (Hehehehe!)

I'm gald you and the little one stayed home. I bet it was the best thing to do!

I am still trying to figure out what fahrvergnugen meant cheesy

It means driving enjoyment.cheesy

(from fahren, "to drive," and Vergnügen, "enjoyment").

Bah - not even June and I'm already sick of the heat!!!!!!

We have been lucky this year. I'm still wearing a coat to work in the mornings! But I know it won't last too much longer. I am not looking forward to the humidity we get with the head in the summer. But who knows?...mybe we'll get lucky!

Have you got your AC in yet?

Stay Safe Friend!!!!! I am jealous that you got to see the TIV. I have always wanted to go stormchasing out west so I would have probably turned around and followed it.

Well I am back from my birthday dinner and now I am getting ready to head over to the pines. See y'all there!!!!!!

Countdown Flashback: Five Years! (Keep clicking 'Impatient?' until it loads.)
it is much colder back then in May, noticed it is snowing!
So nice to read some past posts from the forums before my time started here.
Binger had not yet learned to yabba!
We have grown since then, but it is nice to see Carl was already kicking around.
Crown, you are still doing a great job with the countdown!

Thanks RadioJonD for a look back in time! cheesy
