I do the same thing when I am watching the weather channel!!!!!!

Wow! What a party last night at the Pines! Carl spiked the coffee...tea...maybe even the fired twinkies.

Days to season: 157
Days to Christmas: 199

There it is, folk. No more 200's. Huge step for us.

When Crown's away that Camel can't be trusted!!!!!!

That count sure looks good!!!!!

1,000 degrees today!!! I kid, but it feels like it! We don't have central air so I have all the window units on and I'm pretending we have central air.. it feels nice in here! (Maybe not so nice when we get the electric bill, sheesh!)

I won't comlain about my 860 degrees then!!!!!!!!cheesy

My little girl is the best. She kept checking on me, making sure my foot was in a comfortable position, bringing me lemonade, etc. Did I mention she's the BEST?

It sure sounds like it!!!!!

if we continue to post like that on this thread throughout the year....we will end up at around 26,000 posts when u consider that from september on more and more people will come on to the boards.....so the posts will rise up there....wow

I am waiting for the first layer of icing to dry so I can continue practicing some new piping techniques for a cake competition. It has been awhile since I did piping as the new decorating uses fondant and gum paste with very little piping work.
I love learning new things!

If you need a taste tester give me a call.cheesy

in my first year here, in 2008 the countdown had around 5000 posts....and we all considered this epic

Good Afternoon Everyone!!!!!!! It is a hot day here in central Indy and that has led me to be rather lazy. There are some storms around the state but they keeping falling apart before they get here. My plan for the rest of today is get some laundry done and then I need to go over the grocery ads and make a shopping list for tomorrow. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you are in good company here. I think most of us are not fans of summer either.

Awright, I may as well come clean ... I like summer.

I'm a Christmas nut who also likes summer.

Because I was a July Fourth baby, and because our town always had (still has) a week-long volunteer firemen's carnival and fireworks that week, and because I remember how good it felt when school is out ... I like summer. It's a nostalgia trip for me when I feel the weather get hot. (I'm not a fan of prolonged excessive heat or violent thunderstorms, though. I'm not THAT crazy.)

i like summer as well....as I do with spring, fall and winter....lol....I dont know...I just take it as it comes....of course autumn and winter are close to my heart cos of christmas....but i love spring and summer as well....shirts, swimming, bbq, kids playing outside, bbq, going to parks, visiting zoos......did I mention bbqs?

I've decided to challenge myself and sign off the internet for a week starting tomorrow!!! Can I do it???? Only time will tell!

Good evening!

What a day! The electricity went out at 1:00 a.m. It was during a wind storm that had yellow skies. It was so odd looking - actually scarier than the green skied storms. Apparently the storms were way off from where I live, but it still was rather noisy. I missed listening to the radio for weather updates - my cell kept getting severe weather texts, but it just isn't the same.

I spent the day doing what paperwork I could - kind of hard to do much since everything is stored on the computer. Oh, well. The office looks rather nice and smells all lemony because I polished the furniture when I ran out of work-related things to do.

I need to get my work day started now. So nice to hear the refrigerator humming!!

Have a great night!!!!!!!!!

And with this post, Made is poster #12,000. What another milestone!!! And for his efforts, I am awarding him a cipher!!! It's sort of like all the other prizes!!

I am cautiosly optimistic........I was reading some articles on the internet today about how dogs with seizures ALWAYS have some kind of altered level of consciousness. The thing is, Wishbone DIDNT !!! During the "episodes" He was fully alert and oriented and knew where he was...he was just a bit wobly.....Perhaps I am grasping at straws.....but when a child is sick or has a potential problem, and not matter is that child is human or a furkid.....isn't that what we all do ??? We try to figure out what is going on and tell ourselves everything will be fine.
Stay optimistic! I think the vet may have just told you what the worse case scenrio could be. I am sure Wish just had an episode and will be fine. As I was telling you before my little chihuahua had a seisure nearly 7 years ago, still around and acting young and silly! I guess I am just hoping the vet is wrong.

I guess living here in Texas makes it hard on me. We just really don't get that many cold days here and once summer hits, we are melting! It's been near 100 for a couple of weeks now and will go over that in July and August and the heat drags on into early fall. It is so hard on the kids because outdoor play is almost out of the question because the heat is so dangerous. It's swimming or stay inside. :-? My electricity raises a few hundred dollars during the summer months too.

Ok, I am so done whining! I should not make it sound like summer is ruining my life. I should just be SO THANKFUL I have a home to stay cool in and these great forums to enjoy my Christmas happiness year round. Summer also means we are that much closer to Christmas! Yay!

I should move to where you live. I think I would appreciate summer a whole lot more! The 4th of July celebration sounds fantastic! cheesy

We will miss you! I have thought of experiments like that, give up tv and internet. Can't wait to hear how it goes for you.

It may just be denial but for right now that's my story and I'm stickin' with it !

that is what I do. I always want to know as much as I can about what the doc says may be wrong.

keep looking and fighting for your Wishbone!

My kids are nuts - they LOVE grocery shopping, especially my 3 year old! He loves helping me pick everything out! Noel (9 months) is starting to get excited, too.. mostly b/c he gets a snack while riding in the cart! :)

My kids are the kids everyone talks about when they are glad they are someone elses at a grocery store, they are a nightmare when we take them shopping. cheesy
