I just got home from Hobby Lobby and they have started putting out their fall decorations and their CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(I need a better camera on my cell phone)
They also had the other side of the aisle all tore apart with a Christmas pick planogram sitting there.
WHAT!!!!!!!!! Jealous!!! No fall at Michaels near me!!! :-?

I miss my laptop!!!! I let my sister take it on vacation since she doesn't have one and now I am stuck using the desktop. I haven't really used it in the 6 months since we got the laptop and now the keyboard just seems strange to me. So forgive me if you see a lot of typos this week.

Christmas stuff! I am so jealous, nobody around here will have Christmas decor out until late September/early October at the earliest.

I think people thought I was crazy for spending 30 minutes looking at everything but I didn't care. It brought a smile to my face that still hasn't left. cheesy
That is one of my favorite things to do when all the displays are out, just walk around and look at it all.

Work was relentless today, I am beat. I recorded some of the Bruins Rolling Rally parade, it was so cool to see them celebrate with the fans, and they said it was the biggest turnout for a championship parade in Boston's history, I was shocked to see that. I thought it would be the Sox of 2004, but there was over 1 million people attending. We will be having a cookout for father's day tomorrow.

Good morning, MMC!
Happy Father's Day!!
Yesterday afternoon I took a dose of allergy tablets because my allergies were completely off the chart for some reason. The tablets make me sleepy and I thought I would close my eyes for a few minutes and then get ready to go out. Twelve hours later I woke up cheesy I feel better, but my nose is still extremely stuffed up.
Today I am going to think happy thoughts of my dad and, of course, work.
I hope you have a great Sunday and get to spend the day with those you hold the dearest!

I am so exhausted and I have church and work today. We had a very nice time but so worn out!
We had to skip Seaworld. :-? Not sure what we were thinking but the temps have been reaching in the 100's here, then we go south for a vacation? It was over 100 everyday there. My mom doesn't do well at all in the heat and just walking on the Riverwalk was even getting to the kids even though there are tons of shade trees and near water. Everyone we talked to at our hotel who went to Seaworld said they were miserable and we just did not want to take the chance. Summers in Texas are just no fun if you want to be outdoors.
We still had a wonderful time and would walk around early in the morning and late in the evening. It was still HOT though! =) The boys thought the Alamo was really cool.
We scored a 2 bedroom suite by just asking for an upgrade (which I ask every time I check into a hotel). It was helpful in case we had to keep the kids separated. They are brothers and like to fight sometimes. Lol! The hotel has a rooftop pool that overlooks the city. The hotel itself is right on the Riverwalk.
When I get a chance I will post some pictures.
I am now ready for some Christmas!

I forgot to mention but we took the Amtrak train to San Antonio and back. I have traveled all across America by train but it was the first time for my grandsons. It was an adventure for them.
We got a roomette on our way there and coach coming back. We were not on the train overnight but we thought the kids would think it's fun and they loved it! It takes 10 hours to get there. It's only 5 hours to drive there but the train makes lots of stops. The roomettes have seats with a top bunk bed. At night the seats make into another bed. When you get a roomette all your meals are free. We ate in the dining car for lunch and then for dinner we requested to eat in our room. Our sleeping car attendant delivered it to us. We tipped him well for his trouble. We would order ourselves and bring it to our room but it's not allowed. Only your sleeping car attendant must bring it to you.
My favorite train trip was the one through the Colorado mountains. I want to do that again sometime! It starts in Chicago and ends in Emeryville, California. It takes 3 days and 2 nights. When we did that trip we had a bedroom the whole time. It was great!
