Happy Monday, everyone! We're enjoying some silliness here at the office by celebrating "Talk Like A Pirate" day. So, how do you know if you're a Pirate? You just "ARRRH"!

Good afternoon from the sick house,

LC woke up before 5Am this morning, so that means everyone loses out on sleep. Not much planned, we are going to make a candy ice cream pie later that we saw in a Halloween recipe book. I am feeling lousy. We turned on PBS this morning and did get to see Straight No Chaser Christmas performance, which really sounded good to hear Christmas music on TV, soon enough all commercials and shows will be a bit more Christmasy.

Have a great Saturday! :wiggy:

Just getting caught up on the posts from this weekend Xmas. Sorry to hear you guys were under the weather this weekend. Hope you're all feeling better and that it turned out to be an okay weekend for you.

I came home from work to a very nice surprise yesterday..my hubby bought me the Veterinarian Office & Telephone Company St. Nicholas Square village pieces! Stinker tricked me, too. =) Told me there was a plumbing leak in our master bath, I of course was upset & ran upstairs to get towels & found them sitting on our bed with bows around them. I am a lucky girl. He made my day!

What a nice surprise! That's very sweet! I'm sure you enjoyed it greatly! Hope you had a wonderful weekend! Have a nice week!

Hi all!

The concert last night was good! We were 11 rows from the stage but riiiiiight in front of a large speaker, so I had a bit of a migraine this morning. Still, both bands were amazing (Sick Puppies and 3 Doors Down) and we had a great time with our friends (Travis asked his best friend to be his best man in the middle of one of the songs, lol).

This morning, I helped out at a Kohl's charity event, selling lemonade and temporary tattoos for Alex's Lemonade Stand. It was a ton of fun, even though it was 50 degrees out and started raining halfway through!

Right now, Travis and I are watching Penn State lose to TEMPLE! Nothing against Temple, but we should really be beating them...there've been so many missed opportunities for us to really run away with this game...ugh! So frustrating for us to watch!

Have a good day, everyone!

Glad you had fun at the concert! I love 3 Doors Down. I've been to two of their concerts. One of their's I was right on the floor and I stood right at the stage the whole entire time - it was awesome. Anyway, as for Penn State, the game was horrible to listen to - I couldn't watch because we had my daughter's birthday party and we put a radio outside and listened to it. We should have brought a tv out, but didn't. At least they won in the end!!!

Pictures, pictures, pictures, please!!!

Hi every one! :)
We got the keys to our house! :D We are very busy moving, painting, laying the floor, building our own kitchen, tiling, visiting IKEA etc. It is a lot of hard work, but it it so much fun and so worth it! :) The only setback is that we still do not have internet! so that's why I have not been on here at all! (that and the fact we are so busy!)
Hope all of you are well! I am still counting down with you, even though offline and from a great distance!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!! We are headed back up to 80 degrees today here in central Indy. My plan for today was to get up early and head to the apple orchard for some cider. I just saw on facebook that they have run out though. So I guess I have to wait a couple more days. So now I am off to the early church service and then it will be time for some football and racing. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Made - hope you had a nice weekend. What is with all this rain at the tracks. Ugh! :-o

I've been a MMC Member for quite some time, but always a "reader" and not a poster. I'm not sure exactly what is motivating me to "take the plunge" but I feel like I already know many of you from reading your posts for years. I've always been a great lover of all things Christmas, at one time a loner in my thoughts until I ound this forum a few years ago and realized I wasn't the only yuletide nut out there - in fact we seem to be all over the world. Over the years my wife gave up resisting and began enjoying our families "stretched-out holiday season. For years, my family (wife and two girls) have gathered in front of the TV every Friday night at 7PM starting the first Friday in September (our unofficial start to the season) to watch a Christmas movie - in accordance with the official schedule posted on the refrigerator in mid-August. I've had to warn my girls that they might not want to tell their friends at school about our strange little tradition until they get a little older as they might not understand - my older daughter started high school last year and told her best friends how early her family starts celebrating Christmas and most of them thought it was great and were jealous. Last weekend we visited Rosemary Clooney's former house in Augusta, KY because they have a whole room dedicated to the movie White Christmas. Lots of original costumes and the feathers from the tune "Sister" that some of you might remember. Great Stuff! Anyway - thanks to all of you for feeding my Christmas cravings over the years - I feel like I'm coming out of the proverbial "Christmas closet".

Welcome! We're glad to have you! We're all just as Christmas nuts as you are and proud of it! :-D and I think it's great what you do with your family. My husband thinks I am nuts when it comes to my love for the season, but I am hoping once my children get a little older (their only 2 and 2 months), that maybe he will give in a little!)

Here you go being funny again!!

That's okay. I ended up counting Skunks while sitting very still on the front porch of my apartment. With all of the cat food people leave out we have a very healthy population around my apartments. I had one walk pass me that I could have climbed onto and rode like a horse.

I am printing off your post so I can make the Boxing Day Club. It sounds SO yummy!!!!!

Saturday I took Mom to eat at The Partridge & Pear in Pigeon Forge, TN. It's next door to The Incredible Christmas Place & across the parkway from The Inn at Christmas Place.

I had the Boxing Day Club. Turkey, bacon, & cornbread stuffing with cranbery mayo on sourdough bread. It was good & not too expensive. The decorations were nice. We were seated in the sunroom & there were pear trees painted on the ceiling & swags over every window with pears in them.

I'm longing for Christmas, but don't have the cash to get my shopping done. I'll probably be later this year on my shopping than I've ever been. I'll probably have to wait until December to get the shopping done this year. Normally I'm finished by Thanksgiving. Oh well, I can still enjoy the music, movies, & decorations!

I am crying right now. Maybe they are also with my Jackie Boy!

I'm sorry, Coach. I know how heartbreaking it is to lose a loved pet. As you said, spoil him and don't worry about. He'll love you even more for it!

I believe I'll see Ben, my lab, again. I'm sure he's bird hunting with my dad now, waiting on me to join them in the field.

What is with all this rain at the tracks. Ugh! :-o

I'm not going to complain about the rain this weekend. It's hitting us here in Indy and it's a nice light soaking rain. Just what we needed. It's also helping to hide all of the tears that are being shed after the colts lost again yesterday.

Good morning, Christmas friends. I was not able to get on earlier because I had an EARLY appointment this morning. I am off until lunchtime, so I wanted to check in. The doctor read the bone density scan and I do have osteoporosis. I will begin a hormone regimen, plus calcium and Vitamin D. Have a great day, everyone!!!

Good morning,

I think I am feeling worse today than any day so far, I am supposed to be going back to work tomorrow. Not much on the docket for today, I will be sitting in my indention that I have made on the couch the last 5 days.

I received a flyer from Toys R Us today, and they are having a buy 2 get 1 free sale on a lot of different toys for different age groups, I wish I could get out there today to do some Christmas shopping.

Have a great football Sunday!

This is not good to hear - I hope you start feeling better soon. I am hoping by when I get to Monday's post, you are posting that you're starting to feel better. Get Well Soon, Xmas!

Harlowe, our pup, had another episode last night. She's almost done with her steroid meds & liver support, so I'm hoping that it was just a bad stomach upset/side effect. Please say some prayers for her. We will take her to the vet again in a couple of weeks after the meds are out of her system to do a liver function test. Fingers are crossed.

Saying prayers for Harlowe and you!
