Just here listening to the radio while reading the posts, and they are talking about more snow for Friday and Tuesday, they are saying we could get another foot of snow on Friday depending on the path the storm takes. It will be another long night at work, won't be home until 10:30, but I don't have to leave for another 3 hours. We will probably be well over 2,000 posts long before I get home, so have fun getting there.

I don't know if they hibernate or not. Just in case, carry a BIG stick with you...or at least some good running shoes. In fact, I'd sleep with them on!

Like gabulldawg, I thought the rain had left for a few days, but we got more rain last night than we had all month. It's still rainy here. I don't mean to complain because we still need more to get back to or normal water table levels, but I want to get on the pond and do some bass fishing!
Our school had a fundraiser selling Krispy Kreme doughnuts, and I found out this morning that they money was due...this morning! Each family had to sell $100 worth to get a second day off for winter break in February. Well, I love to go to the mountains in February, so I wound up buying most of the doughnuts. And I'm on a diet!! Grrrrr. I did get a pound of coffee, too, though. Not a total loss.

I never understood how donuts are considered a breakfast food. You might as well eat a candy bar. Deep fried and loaded with sugar! Lol! I always ate them as a dessert late in the day because if I ate them in the morning I felt terrible all day. That's just me because I am just sensitive to most foods. I don't eat anything sugary anymore. Just natural sweeteners. I do miss some junk food but just can't eat it. blah! =(
Anyway, enjoy the donuts and hope you are able to get back to fishing! =)
My wife and I talk about that all the time, how breakfast foods seem more like desserts. In my early 20's my breakfast was usually a bag of Doritos and a bottle of Coke. It turns my stomach when I think of it now
Good morning, Christmas friends. It is foggy and chilly here in northern California. I have dinner in the crockpot and all's right with the world. I am making Italian herb chicken that is SO EASY that it's almost a sin to say I am making it! You put chicken in the bottom of the crockpot (I use breasts and thighs), mix together 2 cans of garlic-basil diced tomatoes, 1 can roasted garlic tomato paste, chopped onion and mushrooms. Pour that mixture over the chicken, turn crockpot to low and let it cook all day. When I get home tonight, I will cook up a pot of rice over which we will spoon a piece of chicken and the yummy sauce. Yummo! I love coming home to my dinner cooked in the crockpot. A real good cold-night dinner! Hope everyone has a great day! Take care!
