Christmas Countdown - 2011

It's Friday night and the last weekday of my Christmas holidays. I've been able to watch Christmas movies all week on TV - they seem to be phasing them out slowly. Yesterday was Home Alone and today was The Muppet Christmas Carol. I'd never seen that one before and it was really good!!

Absolutely looooooovvvvveeeeeeee the Muppet Christmas Carol. Its brilliant !! The soundtrack is awsome, and well, the Muppets........What can I say Jim Henson was a genius !!!!! I get a little teary eyed when watching this. Especially during that one song, I think its called " Season of the Heart"???

Oh , me and the Husband went out for Chinese tonight, as it so happens the restaurant is right across from the mall. After dinner , I said to my hus. "Lets go over to the mall for a second. I had a motive which was a Nightlight type thing by Midwest of Cannon falls. It is a light that looks like an old fashioned street lamp with a sprig of green glittery holly on it. When lit, it looks like the bulb is flickering, like a real gaslight . Knowing full well this baby was on sale for mere pennies, I knew he wouldnt bat an eye at it and wouldn't say no. Its plugged in right now and looks great !! cheesy

" Good thing I get the mail before he gets home from work . My watch list on ebay is huge and is Christmas stuff year round!!

It has been a lackluster birthday just trying to relax, LC did let me take a little catnap he sat on my lap the whole time while watching Dinosaur Train this afternoon, such a good little guy. I am going to take tomorrow off also just to get over this bug and get some rest for me and my wife's birthday party on Sunday. It has yet to start snowing which was supposed to start around 9am this morning, guess it has missed us.

" Good thing I get the mail before he gets home from work . My watch list on ebay is huge and is Christmas stuff year round!!

You know Ebay is the devil, I search quite often for deals for Christmas items, last year I bought 10-12 Christmas DVD's with the most expensive one being $7.50 (Holiday Inn) cheap for a classic, most of them were between $1.00-$3.00 with a few being the DVD for $.01, always looking for a great deal.

It's snowing again - deep joy!! Will have to keep an eye on the leaky roof again.

Oh, I SO hope Goblin will be okay! Our Kitty is still sneezing, so we will take her to the vet again tomorrow. A question: What is a "lake effect"? And, is there a "reason" why you call your tree a "him"? Because I am thinking: "Gorgeous, hmm, must be female!!!" Teehee!

Good evening, Christmas Family. Not a lot going on, though my other elderly kitty is in the hospital. :-? He got very ill Wednesday with "stomach flu" like symptoms and could not hold anything down. Yesterday he would not eat a morsel. He did start drinking again. This morning as it is Friday I decided to try to get him to eat early and if he didn't I knew he would have to see his doctor. You guessed it - he wouldn't eat so Caninemom was on the phone bright and early. Doc examined him and decided to keep him at least overnight, do x-rays, get blood samples, etc. Punkin' has been gone just over a month. Now my Goblin is sick :-?


On a brighter note. My tree is still up and shall remain so until at least next weekend. I am not letting it go this year, at least not easily. I feel so much more happy looking at "him". The garland on the mantle is lit and shall remain there 365 days a year.

We are expecting some lake effect tonight. Hope it is not too bad in the morning. I have to weigh in monthly and tomorrow is the day.

Even though a friend kidded me, one year, I kept my tree up until the end of March!!!

I hope Goblin is better, and last year I kept one of my trees up until the weekend before February, just couldn't take it down last year.

Hi...It's late... I'm a little worried tonight... Just before Christmas, we moved to a new city and I felt completely safe and at peace with our new place... Then last night my next door neighbor's home was violently broken into while I slept... Today I scouted around our new neighborhood and looked up crime rates for the area, and I am very ill at ease and every little noise is setting me on edge... So, I'm gonna go play a few christmas games, get my mind off the fear, and hope for the best... Stay safe everyone!
