That would be MEEEEE!Doesn't someone we know live in texas? Wasn't that person asking for snow? Why is that person sending it all our way now????????????
:Be careful? I am loving it!!! I am glad I wished for it. cheesyreminds me of the saying "be careful what you wish for, you just might get it"

Yes! I agree! After watching all the coverage on all the activities taking place during the Super Bowl and surrounding areas, I think I would rather be home. The security is in high alert but the massive traffic expected makes me a bit nervous. Some Packers and Steelers fans have arrived without a Super Bowl ticket just to hang out in the area at local restaurants and other activities. We have a lot of people here!Probably safest place to be.
Woke up to a beautiful blanket of snow this morning! I LOVE IT! Schools have closed and it's making headline news. I am sure the Packer and Steeler fans who have already arrived here in Dallas are laughing at us over all the media attention this is getting. That is all they have been talking about on the news, as we speak, for the past several hours. The snow has barely covered the grass but there is ice on the roads. Big news for us!
My daughter is a college teacher and my son attends her school so they both have the day off. I am glad they don't have to get out in this mess.
I am not too thrilled about Wayne having to drive in this mess to work but at least he is from Maryland and knows what to expect. My brother is a UPS driver so I do worry about him. He has to drive all day long. :-?
Thanks for asking! I am feeling better but trying to get my energy back after laying around. Are you feeling better today, CAH?
And as we all know, "those icicles have been known to kill people!"I know what you mean, I got the roof semi-cleared and took down all the icicles on my house, but I have never seen icicles like this before there is one house a mile away the whole front of the house is covered with 8 foot icicles, we taught JP NEVER stand under icicles, if they fall could hurt you or worse.
The bad weather has started here. The roads are an icy nasty mess and all the schools are closed.
Let it snow - Let it snow - Let it snow!
It is an icy morning here in central Indy. We have at least a half inch of ice so far and another inch is expected this afternoon. There are about 12,000 people without power so far and hopefully it doesn't get any worse.
well I got the day off from work thanks to Mother Nature... sleet and freezing rain makes for some slick roadways over by my job.

Sounds like lots of folks are getting snowed in. keep safe and warm everyone! Hope your power stays on.
Well maybe sticking my head on a chopping block but noticed something of late on here that semi bothers me. I do enjoy seeing many different people post on here, what all are up to, sharing thoughts and so on. And I like seeing a record number of members doing so. But if it’s just numbers we want then I can sit here and post nothing but three or four words or tell a story three words at a time all night long and get us to maybe even 5000 mark. If I had got busy half an hour ago could easily have gotten us to 4000 for January.
To me it is all about the quality of the conversation in the posts not the number of posts.
Maybe as well I am all wrong. Setting records is nice as well but sometimes in setting records the overall objective is lost.
Just saying what is on my mind is all and something I have notice past week or so.
Just wayyyy to much traffic here in Dallas all the time. The roads are crazy!Schools might close, but I have to go to work. I don't worry so much about my driving, it's more the Texas drivers who have enough problems driving when it is sunny and dry. I have seen more accidents since moving here then I saw my whole life in Maryland.
Thanks for asking! I am feeling better but trying to get my energy back after laying around.
