Well, I looked out the window this morning and discovered a light dusting of snow across the yards. Nothing on the roads and the temp is at 36 with lots of sun so it won't last but it's still pretty.
(That's really the best kind of snow -- looks nice but causes no driving problems!)

Good afternoon, Christmas friends. It is still windy and just a little bit chilly here in northern California. Today we planned our Valentine's Day party for the classroom on Monday! I LOVE holidays when we can have parties!!! I especially like soft sugar cookies with good icing! One of my parents always makes those! Yummo! We have a good dinner cooking in the crockpot: chicken, carrots, potatoes, corn, and onions. Tomorrow, I will use the leftovers for creamy chicken noodle soup. I can hardly wait!!! I hope y'all have a great rest of the night!!

I miss the days of volunteering at my kids schools for partys. We had fun! I might start volunteering at my grandsons school.

Sent home from work on "medical leave." Geez, I think they're overreacting to a simple head cold. I feel fine.
A few days off is understandable, but a leave of absence?

My wife and I have no clue how to text, and I have no interest in it cheesy

I have text a few times. I think there are a lot of advantages to texting but I also think it goes overboard when you are out with friends or family and someone is off to the side texting nonsense when they should be enjoying the time with everyone. I think there should be etiquette with texting as well as cell phone conversations. My phone is on mute when going out to eat. I might get texting someday but for now I don't need another distraction. When out and about my cell phone is strictly used for emergencies or necessary info needed (like that phone call home, "do we need eggs? lol), not to carry on nonsense conversations. Those can wait until I get home. cheesy

Pretty good night tonight, I will start by saying: I got a promotion at my job, I am back as a manager, starting Saturday. I am so happy I will be spending more time at home with my family since I will be only working one night a week, the rest of the week I will be home by 4:30pm. I was superstitious about talking about it after the disappointment I had back in the summer when I didn't get it.
LC will be going to daycare which I think he needs, he never has really played with kids his age and it will help him learn more also since it is a daycare/preschool. It also means I won't miss some good Boston Bruins games like tonights I missed, seeing the highlights they won the game, but it looked like a game right out of "Slap Shot," the Paul Newman movie, I wish I didn't miss that game. Not to many more late nights on MMC for me.

Christmas-a-Holic - thanks for the Couch to 5K link! I have been feeling blah this winter after having the baby and I really want to get back in shape! I hope to start it when it's a bit warmer!

Keep me posted when you start. It only takes 9 weeks to reach the goal.

No snow was falling at 5 am but they called us and woke up the entire house to tell us that they are still going on a two hour delay because the weathermen were sure it was going to start any minute and 1-2 inches were predicted.

Nobody is happy right now (kids and parents) as the sky starts to clear a little and the ground is dry.

5 am?!?!? I would be irked too!

After having a deep freeze for over a week with snow and ice, the temps will get up to near 70 this weekend and will be in the upper 60's and sunny for the next 7 days.

We have a little spring headed our way for awhile. cheesy

Good Morning Everyone!!!!! It is freezing here in central Indy with a temperature of 0 right now. My sisters garage door got stuck this morning so I am getting ready to head out to her house to see if I can get it to work. Then it wil be back home to watch some of the nascar media day coverage online. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Good morning, friends.

Ended up with about 5 or 6 inches of snow. Roads are packed and there isn't much going on here. I know many of you in bigger cities think that is nothing and your right, but living in small rural areas....well....there just isn't much equipment to clear roadways. So we are shut down until it warms up a bit, which probably will be tomorrow. Oh well, gives me more time to hang here.

Well we missed story time! Noel fell asleep a few minutes before it started so it was a bust! Who knew getting ACROSS THE STREET for story time at the library with 2 kids would be so darn difficult? hehe oh well! Got dinner for the next 2 nights made and Jude managed to make a mess of the house, yet again!! Typical toddler.. hehe

Good afternoon everyone! It's been very busy here today, and I'm just managing to sneak on while I eat lunch. The sun is out again today; that's three days in a row! It's a beautiful day here, if a bit cold, and Spring is right around the corner. That's one season closer to Christmas!

Once snow goes and temps rebound some be to the workshop for me. So is ok to pop on say what is on your mind. Might give me something to post about. Then see you have given me something to do. Have tons to do. Been reading about using cocoplastic for decorations outside so far prices are not to cheap. Oh well kills the time.
