I'm curious about something. How did everyone come up with their nicknames on the forum?

Good late afternoon, Christmas friends. I had a hellish day at school today! I thought my new girl was going to drive me bananas! She would not hush, she would not keep still! She told me she didn't have her "vitamin" this morning! Heaven help me!

Ooh, here's hoping she gets that pill tomorrow!

... I have been humming Christmas songs to myself all day. Everything has been finalized for my promotion, starting Saturday...

Does anyone know if the newest release of Santa Claus The Movie on DVD is remastered?
I just finished watching it (DVRed from AMC back in December) and it looked pretty murky, I think I want to buy it but I just don't like the murkiness of the whole movie that was on TV.

Oh, a technical question... I haven't a clue, sorry!

Back in the mid 70's as a fireman, myself and who was my best friend and as well a volunteer on our department rescued a lady from a third story balcony of a burning apartment building. Long story short and it's a long and today semi funny story the longest ladder we had on back side of building was as was later measured to be 54 inches short of reaching the top of the balcony. I went up and we got her and myself off before crews coming in from the front hit the apartment with water that might have steamed us.

The newspaper at that time had a reporter who was a fire buff as well and missed very few of our calls. He caught me coming off the balcony and the tag line for that photo was Firefighter Super Dave after rescuing a resident of a third floor apartment. Well we all had a good laugh about it for a while and it sort of went away. Then a few years later all of a sudden the name came up one day and I have been called that and well a few others things ever since.

So Super Dave or superdave I have been ever since. I added the 1225 to the name for computer use after my old Yahoo account went nuts in 99 or 2000 don't remember for sure and Yahoo's system wouldn't allow my Superdave username to work anymore. By then that so call Osborn character was every where and everyone named Dave wanted to be a Super Dave as well. I picked the 1225 since my favorite time of the year was Christmas Day. So now you know where the superdave1225 comes from.

My mom is going to Charleston, SC for the weekend. We have a family friend who lives there and lets us crash at her place while we do the tourist thing. Nice of her!

Good morning everyone.... Got a busy weekend this weekend and next. we bought a bunch of paint and some new storage shelves with baskets for the kids toys. Besides painting we will be purging toys as the kids have a lot they no longer play with or have out grown. busy..busy..busy

My handle is an oft-told tale dating back to the old forums, but for those who are not aware:

I still own my pampered and trusty 1985 Ford Crown Victoria which I now keep as a hobby, one-day-to-be-classic car.

When I first started at Christmas.com, I registered as "Crown 85".
At one point, the forum went down an when it returned, "Crown 85" would no longer work and it would not let me re-register that way.
As such, I backed off a year and it accepted "Crown 84".

My original avatar had a white background but I felt red was more Christmassy.

Those are the only changes in about 8 years.

(Hey, what can I say? I'm the traditional sort.)
