Well, Christmas friends. There may be SNOW for us on Thursday or Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yippee!!! Of course, I will believe it when I see it; but I am still excited, nontheless!

Fingers crossed, praying you get it, keep seeing a car around here with Cali license plates, shoveling it into the trunk

Good afternoon,

Just got back from our little day of fun, we went to the mall where they had a giant sandbox set up in the middle of the food court as part of the Summer in February fun. They loved the sandbox and we had lunch there and followed that up with ice cream from DQ, it was a good day. Relaxing before dinner now, I feel so out of it still, this schedule change has me so out of sync right now.

Enjoy the rest of the day.

Well I just got up seems I took a 2 hour nap! I finally have everything straightened out with my pharmacy and drug company and insurance so everything is cool. My tv in the living room just blew up so I'm going to have to move mine from the bedroom into the living room until I go out and buy one. Is it just me or do any of you still prefer the "regular" old tv's compared to the new flat screens? I don't know I have a flat screen in the downs stairs living room that I barely use except for christmas time because I put the tree there. Hope everyone has a great rest of the day... can't wait for this week to end!.lol:)

I am actually just fine with my old tv's. The flat screen is nice but as long as I get a decent picture, the old tv will be in use until it goes out. I just don't want to spend money on something if what I have still works.

My son-in-law works for a moving company. Most of his jobs are moving the wealthy living in mansions (or close to it). Over the years he has collected lots of perfectly "old" working tv's during moving jobs. The people he moved for just wanted to replace them for flat screens and told him to take the old ones if he wanted them. The one I have in my living room is one that he got on a moving job. I don't blame them on that though. If they have the money, why not? I got to make my dollars strrrrrrrrreeeeetch! cheesy

Blue Christmas,
Don't make me start singing to get you back on the forums!!! That is NOT a pretty sound!!!

For the longest time since Christmas my local Hallmark store had their remaing Christmas items marked down 60%. They just wouldn't budge off 60% even though nothing seemed to be selling. I kept going back every few days waiting for it to go down to 75%. They had something really speciall that I wanted and I was sure I could get it at 75% off. Today I went in after not going in since last Friday. To my delight everything was 75% off. To my dismay the item I really really really wanted was sold out. That's what I get for being in ultra cheapskate. Happy Tuesday evening everyone.

I am the same way..I am very frugal. I forget how I even got the flat screen..I think I bought it when i bought this house a year ago. thing is i don't really watch enough tv anyways for it to matter, except at christmas time and halloween on the AMC channel.I watch the news in the morning while I wake up,but even then I have it on "mute" and if a story comes on I am intersted in I will unmute it! I sleep with it on at night but just as background noise. I don't see paying for another tv any time soon.

Thats what we do, we wait until the brand name stores put everything on clearance and get nice clothes at a quarter of the price, or find a good sale at a grocery store, Christmas shop or Birthday shop on ebay. I have learned how to really save money the last few years doing things on the cheap. cheesy

Good afternoon, everyone. I cannot believe that I took an hour's nap today! What a rare privilege! I really wish I were retired, and I could take a nap every day! I hope everyone is having a great day.

Where are you, Blue Christmas?

I think I am going to call it al night! the countdown is sloooowly moving down.. I will feel better once it gets below 300 which is just a few days away. Everyone have a good night and I will talk to y'all tomorrow!

It will all come around to you in a few days.

Well I was slow to change over to the flat screens but two of the four is now. There is a difference in the picture no doubt and the price is down enough now that it's cheaper to get a flat panel over a tube type TV.
When I got these 2 I have now I went ahead and got them in HD and yes there is a huge difference if you have HD or get a blueray player.

Dinner was SOOOOO good tonight. I fixed chicken Marsala in the crockpot and served it with rice. The sauce was wonderful. I will type up the recipe tomorrow to share. Have a great evening, everyone!

The best thing about Patriot's Day, Red Sox game at 11AM

Thanks for reminding me! Go SOX!

Same here---no flat screen until the current set dies. We don't watch HD or Blu-ray anyway ...

Shame on you! That's what the "Mistletoe Mix" on Merry Christmas Radio is for! Just ask a listener...or even both of them.

"Both of them," indeed---minus two points for negativity! I'll bet you've got twice as many listeners as that!

Seriously---honk if you listen to the Mistletoe Mix!

*honk*
