I just got home from eating breakfast in town and noticed gas has jumped over night to $3.40 here. That is an increase of 43 cent in 2 weeks. 58 bucks to fill my sedan up. I feel sorry for the people that drive large trucks and SUV's!!!

Wayne is still a little sick with a cold but taking the day off from work yesterday seemed to help a lot. We are going to chill out today, cook a nice healthy lunch at home and maybe watch a movie. I think it's exactly what he needs to get better!

Good evening Yule-igans,

Another long busy day at work, my body feels like it is "buzzing" I worked so hard. Had a yummy crunchy onion chicken for dinner with choco-chip cookies for dessert. I still have 3 more days until my next day off. I noticed yesterday that the snow made the roof of our shed collapse, it is where we stored all of the kids outdoor toys, haven't had a chance to check out the damage inside yet.

Bright and early again tomorrow.

Well I actually have got alot of work around the house done while I could not sleep tonight. Washed dishes put up a load of clothes. This time in a week I will be packing up to make the long drive to boston for 3 weeks. My gps tells me it will take 20 hours,so I plan to drive 10 hours sat hopefully get to DC) and 10 on sun,and go to work on monday! I am getting a house sitter for the dogs,but I will miss them alot while I am away. In a mere two weeks us Americans go back to daylight savings time already! time is really flyin!

I miss my dogs even if I just go out for the afternoon!

my doctor thinks I may have aortic stenosis

this is the dictionary definition of it:
narrowing of the passage between the left lower chamber (ventricle) of the heart and the aorta, the principal artery of the systemic circulation. The defect is most often in the valve at the mouth of the aorta but may be just above or below the valve (supravalvular and subvalvular aortic stenosis, respectively). Aortic stenosis in a person younger than 20 years of age is usually congenital in origin. If it appears during middle age, it is most often the result of rheumatic heart disease. Aortic stenosis in elderly persons may be the result of degeneration of the valve with age. Most patients are male.

I am going for an ultrasound on Tuesday so will know more then.
Meanwhile, trying not to be nervous about it. This is rather shocking for me as I never have any health issues.

We got us a "tempurpedic" memory foam type mattress. Not the name brand, too expensive, but Serta brand. It is the best thing I have ever done for my back! I woke up every morning in so much pain and took me an hour for my back to ease up. I have a bad back anyway and just assumed I must be getting arthritis. After we got the new mattress I noticed a difference immediately! I actually wake up pain free now! I LOVE IT!

I guess after 12 years of your daughter owning a mattress it's time for a new one! cheesy

Good Saturday morning all. As my wife mentioned I have been sick, not as bad as she was last week, but bad enough. Yesterday was more of an R&R day, just needed to get away from work for a day, have an extended weekend. Besides, what better day to take off from work than Rudolph Day?:rudolph:

got my hydro bill in the mail today, something I dread with the price going up all the time (as bad as gas prices!) anyway, open it up and had to get my son to read it as I did not believe what it said! Apparently they owe me $.21!
Should I get that in cash or cheque?

Wow! I am jealous! :wink: Can they make a direct deposit?

My husband and I found 11 cents in the parking lot yesterday! Woo Hoo! I guess we are almost doing as well as you!

Hope this finds everyone doing good! All is well here...drinking coffee...playing online poker with my parents...one is down the street and the other is in Texas (the free version)....debating what I will do today.

The weather is trying to warm up today, but it is soooooo wet. No outside work for me, but I'm might try to do some stuff...clean truck...organize garage...that kinda thing.

The rest of this morning, I'm going to do some Christmassy stuff since yesterday was Rudolph day.

My grandson who is almost 8 years old made the comment, "I can't wait until I am 13 years old"! My 5 year old grandson replied very seriously, "when you are 13 you are going to need bigger shoes". :lol:

Well, the activity will be for me; but the product will be for someone else. I plan to scrapbook many of my recipes for my kids and sister-in-law. I know it will be relaxing.
