Hi everyone, I am a day late but Happy Rudolph day from the UK!!!

The days are starting to go faster and my thoughts are turning from last christmas to next. Won;t be long before we start to see some of teh specilaist sections in shops popping up again in June!!!

I just got home from eating breakfast in town and noticed gas has jumped over night to $3.40 here. That is an increase of 43 cent in 2 weeks. 58 bucks to fill my sedan up. I feel sorry for the people that drive large trucks and SUV's!!!

Gas @ 3.29 here

You Know You're from KANSAS If:

You end your sentences with an unnecessary preposition. Example: "Where's my coat at?"

Good morning everyone!

Wayne is still a little sick with a cold but taking the day off from work yesterday seemed to help a lot. We are going to chill out today, cook a nice healthy lunch at home and maybe watch a movie. I think it's exactly what he needs to get better!

I hope you all enjoy your Saturday! cheesy

Sounds like the perfect plan for a loving couple.

Good Saturday morning all. As my wife mentioned I have been sick, not as bad as she was last week, but bad enough. Yesterday was more of an R&R day, just needed to get away from work for a day, have an extended weekend. Besides, what better day to take off from work than Rudolph Day?:rudolph:

Was racing last night again tonight and tomorrow afternoon so a perfect weekend to chill, cuddle with the wife and watch a little racing as well.

My grandson who is almost 8 years old made the comment, "I can't wait until I am 13 years old"! My 5 year old grandson replied very seriously, "when you are 13 you are going to need bigger shoes".

I am not sure why he thought of his shoe size because of his age? cheesy

As Art Linkletter said once and wrote a book with the same title "Kids Say The Darndest Things."

A man goes to a party and has too much to drink. His friends plead with him to let them take him home. He says no -- he only lives a mile away. About five blocks from the party, the police pull him over for weaving and ask him to get out of the car and walk the line.
Just as he starts, the police radio blares out a notice of a robbery taking place in a house just a block away. The police tell the party animal to stay put, they will be right back and they hop a fence and run down the street to the robbery.
The guy waits and waits and finally decides to drive home. When he gets there, he tells his wife he is going to bed, and to tell anyone who might come looking for him that he has the flu and has been in bed all day.
A few hours later the police knock on the door. They ask if Mr. Joe is there and his wife says yes. They ask to see him and she replies that he is in bed with the flu and has been so all day. The police have his driver's license. They ask to see his car and she asks why. They insist on seeing his car, so she takes them to the garage. She opens the door. There sitting in the garage is the police car, with all its lights still flashing.

True story, told by the driver at his first AA meeting.

A sort of the same ole same ole here this morning very slick out had freezing drizzle start at about midnite and was an event off and on all night and this morning so it is slick out. With gas what it is and my cupboards all full all the reason to just stay home and do my thing what ever that may be.

Guess I could open the windows in the music room crank up "They're Coming to Take Me Away, Ha-Haaa!" By Napoleon XIV beat on the drums till I work up a good sweat as I Primal Scream till I have all devilisht thoughts in my head gone.

But then again I could go make a brunch and act like I have some common sense.

But then again it feels good to just let it all hang out.

Later all “Letting It All Hang Out Just Won The Debate”

Oh, no ... that means I'm an oldster ...

It is cold and windy here. If we could just get some clouds with moisture, I am sure it would sleet and snow. I'm dreaming....

my doctor thinks I may have aortic stenosis

this is the dictionary definition of it:
narrowing of the passage between the left lower chamber (ventricle) of the heart and the aorta, the principal artery of the systemic circulation. The defect is most often in the valve at the mouth of the aorta but may be just above or below the valve (supravalvular and subvalvular aortic stenosis, respectively). Aortic stenosis in a person younger than 20 years of age is usually congenital in origin. If it appears during middle age, it is most often the result of rheumatic heart disease. Aortic stenosis in elderly persons may be the result of degeneration of the valve with age. Most patients are male.

I am going for an ultrasound on Tuesday so will know more then.
Meanwhile, trying not to be nervous about it. This is rather shocking for me as I never have any health issues.

You will be in my prayers as well. I have faith you will be okay xo

So Glad you are feeling better. I was off for Rudolph Day as one of my regular days off (Fridays and Saturdays) !!!

An extra fired twinkie for you, Caninemom!
(Clever of you -- playing up to Carl's narcissism.)

Good Morning.
Welcome to the Saturday Morning Treasure House, boys and girls.
(You oldsters know where that came from!)

Speaking of treasures, let's see how far we are away from the greatest of the year:
Days to the Season: 260
Days to Christmas Day: 302
Hark! Look at that! The day after tomorrow! The window!
Then, double-200's!
Zounds and Wowzers!!

Sunny and calm here on this beautiful final Saturday of February.
We stand at a still coolish 46 but should see the mid 50's at least by this afternoon.
Two dry days predicted before the rain returns for Monday and Tuesday.

You have a most Sensational Saturday, Friends.
And let your Christmas Spirit guide you through a weekend of fun and relaxation!

I do love fired Twinkies...Carl just makes them that more enjoyable with his presence (blush, blush) !! xo

Today is the big day to see if the homemade Italian pasta we made is any good!!! My hubby brought me some of the homemade Italian sausage along with an Italian roll, and it was fabulous. I can hardly wait. He is going to the Elks Lodge around 3 p.m. to get the garlic bread ready and help with the rest of the cooking. I think I might be in heaven tonight--being with my husband and having homemade Italian food!!!
