The weather is getting warmer little by little, and the days are getting longer. Spring is in the air!
Yay! This is a very cheerful thought... I saw little flowers on the side of the road, it made me so happy!
Spring is near and I am happy for that! I noticed one of my neighbors still have their Christmas lights up.
A great combination, christmas lights in the spring...
My youngest son loves the old radio shows, so I bought a lot of those for him.
Old radio shows are great, especially American old radio shows!
Great attitude! I feel the same way. It's how you handle a situation makes the difference. 2 people can face the same exact problem with completely different results. It all matters on how you handle it. I know there are some situations that can be bad no matter what but just don't "sweat the small stuff"! Not worth it at all!
A great attitude indeed! Helas, I am totally incapable of thinking this way! I try to be positive, but I lay awake every night worrying and worrying! I make a problem that's not even there!
I spendt yesterday afternoon trying to make a used laptop work, and I finally figured out what my problem was. Our company replaced our computers last week, and they don't keep computers more than 3 years old. I asked if I could have a laptop, and they agreed, but only after they took out the harddrive and destroyed it. Company policy. No big deal, the IT guy said it needed a SATA harddrive and a copy of Windows XP, all about $140. Trouble was, the HD need to be a ATA-100, not SATA. I figured that out after a couple hours of fretting that I had spent all that $$ on a used laptop and it still didn't work. Anyway, I re-ordered the correct HD, and I think a co-worker might buy the SATA from me, so no harm done.
I am glad you found out how it worked! hope your co-worker will buy the SATA!
I remember in my early to mid 20's I used to stay up until 4-5AM and be back up at 8 and work a full 9-10 hour shift and stay out that late again that night. Now I can barely function with less than 5.5 hours of sleep. Where did my youth go?
Hahahha, I still have it, I am in my early 20's

( 22), but I guess I work way too much, I am always tired...I have no clue how you did it...!
I just saw on my local news that the statehouse is considering a bill that will legalize pot, I am so against drugs, I have never tried any, I don't want to be walking down a street with my children and have someone near us smoking it. I hate the smell, it makes me sick to be near someone who has smoked it. I hope this bill NEVER passes. Sorry about the rant but my wife is sleeping, and I needed to get that off my chest.
I know strange things are thought about Holland, so let's start of on a good note: I am against drugs as well! We often hear strange things about Holland, but actually most people here are against drugs!
Here pot is somewhat legal (not actually, but it is also in small amounts not punishable), it is not criminal to use in small amounts, but you can't grow it, or have it when you are on the streets. I actually notice this is a good thing! Teenagers and students are less triggered to try it, since something that's legal is not that exciting. In the streets you NEVER see people use it, nor smell it! The only bad thing about growing up in a town that was near the border with France and Belgium was foreigners coming to Holland to use drugs, but here it actually solved lots of problems. It is a really liberal sollution, but I think it's a great sollution since here, it really dimished the drugs criminality which was a grave problem here, since Holland has always been a trafficstate, we were not supposed to traffic in drugs, but that was what happened, with semi-legalization, these criminal activities were nearly entirely stopped!
Frankly I don't understand why people would want to use it anyway.... (never did and never will!)
Hope things will work out the way you want them to! Sorry for the long reply
I slept awful last night,up every 2 hours looking at the clock thinking it was already time to get up. I got up at midnight and logged on here, got up at 2 and ate some chicken, then finally got up at 4 like I am suppose to! it was raining when I looked outside at 2am. it is a muggy 63F suppose to only get up to 75 as opposed to 85F the last week. Tonight will be back in the 40's and that will feel GOOD. I have only 5 more days until I travel to Boston for 3 weeks, and when I work there I will be able to sleep until 7 that is if I can sleep until 7 without waking up. I will be working later which means hopefully I will be able to stay up later if I can keep my eyes open. I get so sleepy at 7 pm I can't take it and I go to bed. well I hope everyone here is doing good, and has a great tuesday morning!!
Sounds like an awful night, hope you get a better nightsleep!
I haven't checked in for a couple days and thought I would do so now. In just a couple of hours my shift starts and it is not bad at all. For the first time since I started nights I was able to really rest today and actually woke up not tired which is something that NEVER happened when I was working days.
Does anyone know anything about joint problems ? The index finger of my left hand right at the first part of the joint has become EXTREMELY red and swollen with all the typing. While the swelling and pain do go away with rest the redness is always there and the joint itself is like deformed now. Does anyone know if this is some form or arthritis or something ?? I know I need to see my doc but I hate to initiate an office visit for a sore finger. Good grief. It is like the joint has just gone crazy. Oh well. If anyone is familiar with conditions like this or can give me a link I would really appreicate it !!
good to hear you are feeling well rested and everything! Sounds like your new shifts really work for you!
You should really tru to see a doctor, you do know people come down to the doctors office with stupid problems like a runny nose, your finger sounds pretty bad! Hope it will be better soon!
- CAH hope you are still running well! Due to you, I also started running again! Thank you!
- Christmasstar: Hope it turns out well for you!! Will be thinking about you!
