Today started out a little uncomfortable. I was awakened by a migraine at 7 a.m. I of course know what to do since I have had them for over 40 years on and off.

Christmas friends!

Well, I worked all day again yesterday at the store, and man were we busy! I don't know if I mentioned that my father-in-law was the subject of a news segment focusing on small business in the towns surrounding Savannah, but it was a lot of fun to watch. Since then, we've had lots of visits from new customers who didn't even know we were there! I didn't really expect that much to come form the interview, but yesterday was super busy just from new folks who saw the show!

Today started out a little uncomfortable. I was awakened by a migraine at 7 a.m. I of course know what to do since I have had them for over 40 years on and off. I took my medication and went back into my nice dark room and rested for quite a while. When I first got up a few hours later but now it is coming back. (I have NO IDEA why as there is NOTHING up there to hurt, trust me on this one cheesy).

I am hoping to be able to attend the opera later. I am sue all I need is a visit to the pines, some wonderful fired twinkies and a visit with Carl!

Stopping in to say hello. It's been snowing here today. So I've decided to stay inside and keep warm. Back to work tomorrow. My sis in law had the baby...A little girl...Avery...She is the sweetest thing ever. Hope everyone is doing well. =)

I hope you are doing well in class. Do they have coffee and goodies for you throughout the day?

no to the coffee since I am a tea drinker...I think those who do enjoy it can buy it from a vending machine. They give us a box lunch that actually comes in a box. No other goodies unless we get it from a machine. The cafeteria will be open the rest of the week so I am hoping for salads! Classes are crammed full of info, so much to learn. Tomorrow I will be on a truck so that will be a nice change.

Good Sunday afternoon,

I hope everyone is having a good day, we did the grocery shopping thing, and have had a lazy day since. I prepped dinner in the crock pot and took a nap, the new hours and working 10 out of 11 days has really kicked my butt. Both boys are fighting a cold now, LC I am sure is from being around the new kids at daycare this week, germs will make him stronger. The snow is melting fast and furious with the temps in the 50's and the rain moving it along, snow is so depressing when it melts it is all dirty and chunky, nowhere near the pristine glow of when it first falls.

I only have two more loads of laundry to do before I quit for the night. I am looking forward to the bean feed at the firehouse. They always have wonderful cakes and pies for sale for dessert! It's not even 4 p.m. here and I am hungry for dinner. What gives???

I'm watching the 25th anniversary concert production of Les Miserables on PBS ... WOW. I thought the 10th anniversary concert was amazing, but this one may have it beat. You almost need the pledge breaks to get your breath back. If your local PBS station shows it, try to catch it.

Just got back from a really cool youth basketball tournament in Rochester, MN. Over 250 teams from around the state consisting of boys grades 4-7 gathered to take part in a truly memorable tournament. I love seeing the kids competing, having fun and their friends and families getting so caught up in the excitement. It was one of the best weekends I have had in quite some time.
