Christmas-A-Holic and Snow-in-Texas- Hope you guys are okay. I haven't seen you on here in a couple of days.
 
Well the NFL and the players union couldn't reach an agreement and now they are headed to court. Hopefully they get it settled quickly because I was really looking forward to having the super bowl in Indianapolis next year.
 
Hello fellow Christmas lovers. It's been a really busy week and I'm so happy to see the weekend. I'm making a trip up to Galena (IL) in the morning. It's such a lovely, quaint town with a couple of really nice Christmas shops. One of my favorite weekend road trips by far. Hope you all have a fun and safe weekend.
 
I love Friday nights....so peaceful and relaxing....in the morning...I'm going to drink a whole pot of coffee and watch Darlene Love on DVR....

Been reading about the disaster in Japan, cannot belive how bad its been, my heart goes out to all those who have been affected by it xx

the situation in japan really scares me.....there was an explosion in one of the affected nuclear plants. They say it was an hydrogen explosion......hydrogen is developing when a meltdown happens.....and experts in Japan say that the meltdown is happening.

praying for the people in japan

I am praying for the people of Japan too. It is very scary and so tragic at the same time........I don't know who wrote it but this prayer was on my Facebook page:

"Father God, we come to you with thanksgiving in our hearts for who you are and the great things you have done. We cry out now for all the people in Japan that are suffering from the earthquake and tsunami. Lord send them help, provide for them in their time of need, save them from any further harm, give them your strength, courage, comfort and peace. Lord we ask that you would protect any people that might be still in harms way of this tsunami. Lord we thank you for being our refuge and strength, In Jesus Name, Amen"

I hope everyone had a good and productive work week and is looking forward to a rest or something interestingly different.

Days to Christmas Day: 288
Now UNDER half a week to the one-third Season Milestone!
Getting so close!

Sunny and calm but cold here where we started out in the mid-30s and have only warmed up to 44 so far.
No matter. Spring begins a week from tomorrow and that's always a psychological lift.

But what's a psychological downer is the end of standard time and the loss of an hour tomorrow morning!
I guess I'm in the minority but I would prefer regular time year round. Hate to get up when it's still dark. Like to read the morning paper by natural light.

You have a Sensational Saturday, Everyone.

Wow it's pretty quiet on here today. Everyone must be out enjoying the warmer weather.
