We might get to see the great Darlene Love this fall at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! Also, go to Santa Claus, Indiana!

Wayne and I are talking about taking a road trip in the fall. Our plans are to go to Maryland to see his family, Washington D.C. for Smithsonian and White House. After that, on the way back home, stop over to Cleveland for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Football Hall of Fame, then Dayton, Ohio Air Museum then to Santa Claus, Indiana and stay at a camp resort called Santa's Lakeside Cottages.

I hope all works out that we can go!

I'm envious---our next workday holiday is one day in the middle of April.

Good morning everyone! What a night. Yesterday the power was shut off with notice. The city was working on the lines. SO Tuesday morning I shut the computer off. Last night when I went down stairs I turned it on. Sigh. Hard drive died. Good thing I stock pile them. Popped another one in and windows is back on. Now I have to install all my stuff. I have Friday off work. After my Wife is done work we are driving down to Windsor. Its my sisters baby shower and we are celebrating Williams and my birthday. Not much else is new. Tired today. Oh yes. People at work are blaming me for the snow. Yesterday all the snow was gone. Last night a winter storm came through with heavy snow and covered us. I still love the snow. Grinchy people hehe. I will be heading off to work shortly, I feel like I could go back to sleep for a few hours. I am watching a show I recorded in December, and all the Christmas commercials are on, It is really making me miss the season right now. I may have to listen some Christmas music on the ride in. cheesy

I attempted growing pumpkins one year but only got great big leaves without the pumpkins. I might attempt again sometime. Here you have to plant by June in order for the pumpkins to be fully grown by October. Since you are in the south like me, you might have to plant early as well? Not sure but you might check it out. Then again, you might have already researched that so I will put my foot in my mouth. He he! cheesy

No you are correct.lol june or no later than early july...as long as they are harvested and grown by the first frost...heck around here that could be like late November anyway.lol I would like to harvest mine by thanksgiving I guess. I tried growing them when I was a kid too and they got the leavy vines with flowers blooming like squash but not pumkin on them..if this is going to turn into a complicated thing forget it...but I would like to grow them one year..Like I said I am almost certain I am too far south...I think they grow much better in the Northern part of the state.


OH and RIP Elizabeth Taylor! all the good icons are gone...

I am just waking up and had the tv on when the news of Elizabeth Taylor came on...and I was half asleep and thought they said Fran dresher...but still the same it is sad to be losing old Hollywood because the new guys around today are just not the same.All my trees in the yard are done blooming and have the green leaves on them.And my crab apple tree looks great! it looks like May instead of march.I hope the pollen is about done falling too. I am trying to decide what to do today..I may just stay in bed as I am still coughing some. can someone tell me if they know if pnumonia is contagious? I ask because one of my good buddies has it...and I was even coughing before he was...and I still am some...

Good morning, Christmas friends. It is rainy, windy, and chilly here in northern California. It is a dreary, stay inside day--one of my favorites. I have a hot cup of coffee to start the day off right, Vermont maple pecan. Yummo! I went to physical therapy and really did not feel any better, but the therapist told me I probably would not feel better until the second visit. In fact, he practically guaranteed it. I sure hope so. My plans include working on a scrapbooking class and maybe even doing some scrapbooking. I also plan to do some reading. I have three books going: Voices Carry, Moonwalking with Einstein, and Emotional Intelligence 2.0; waiting in the wings is The Information. In addition, I have lots of books on my reading Nook. I hope everyone has a great day; I sure plan to! Coach is still #1!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, we had warm weather here until the first day of spring; now it's like the middle of winter again. It's so gloomy outside that we have all the lights on at work; usually the office is pretty bright. Oh well, I guess it'll warm up eventually, and then I'll be wanting it cool again.

Hope you're feeling better soon, Gabulldawg and Seawaters! And Seawaters, I think that must be true about the PT; usually our patients don't see an immediate improvement. It comes over time.

That's fantastic! What will your masters degree be in?

My masters degree will be in International Relations My main focus will probably remain on Asia (as I am a sinologist), but I will also focus on the international relations between Western countries and Asian countries, how those differ.

Friends, today was a good day. I didn't do a thing that was productive. I was just very lazy. Hung out all day...and it was nice. Tomorrow, I plan on doing the same!
